Camera fades in to the white walls and high ceilings that is either a museum or a room to display various works of art. Looking around you can see several famous pieces displayed upon easels - "Starry Night" "Mona Lisa" "The Garden of Earthly Delights" among others. Camera pans to see the brand new UWL Television Champion, Daron Smythe, standing in the middle of the room, with the Television title belt draped over his shoulder...
Daron: The beauty of art is that it is subjective. It is open to interpretation. Take this work, for example...
Daron points towards the Mona Lisa...
Daron: Perhaps the most famous painting of all time. A work that is simple, yet creates so many more questions than answers. Who is the subject? Why is she smiling? There is a haunting yet eerie calm to her smirk. What is the artist trying to convey? Perhaps the most talked about piece of art of all time.
Next, Daron beckons towards Starry Night...
Daron: Next it is Starry Night, likely Van Gogh's most famous piece. It's interesting, because Van Gogh created this work while taking a self-imposed sabbatical in an insane asylum. Does it reflect his feelings at the time? A view of the world unique to his own dizzying perspective?
Daron then steps in front of the "The Garden of Earthly Delights", head tilted to the side, observing everything on the canvas...
Daron: This idea of heaven and hell, of giving in to one's own Earthly desires in exchange for an eternity of suffering - I see it as those looking to take short cuts getting exactly what they deserve...
Daron turns to face the camera...
Daron: And speaking of short cuts, look at you Leonardo - focused on Billy Danielson, Robb Daniels, and Anthony Cross. Looking to come back and take that short cut to the front of the line. Leonardo, this Saturday, you are going one on one with the new UWL Television Champion, Daron Smythe. There are no short cuts. I've faced the men you name and while undoubtedly they are tough I am the hottest thing going in the UWL today. You consider yourself an artist, huh? I consider myself a professional wrestler, and a damn good one at that. The difference between art and wrestling is wrestling is objective - there is a winner and there is a loser. My art is made on a different type of canvas. It may be timing, it may be luck, hell, I don't know what has caused us to cross paths but I welcome the challenge. Now that the UwL is back everyone is going to come crawling out of the woodwork. But make no mistake about it, my destiny is the UWL World Championship, the only variable is time.
