Camera fades into a packed press conference after a critically acclaimed edition of UWL Eruption where members of the media cram into the press room expecting several members of the UWL roster to come and address them. Journalists, photographers, and others members of the media are all awaiting the conference, chatting amongst themselves as members of the UWL office prepare them to find their seats and begin.
There is a flurry of activity in the room as everyone hurries in to find their seats. The atmopshere is charged with excitement and anticipation as everyone awaits the first speaker to arrive. The journalists are checking their equipment, setting up cameras and microphones, and reviewing their notes in preparation for the first participant.
As the time approaches for the conference to begin, there is a sense of anticipation in the air. Attendees are chatting among themselves, exchanging greetings, some simply sitting quietly and waiting. There is a palpable energy as everyone waits for the event to begin.
There is a rush of activity as our first participant arrives, the UWL Television Champion himself, Daron Smythe. Photographers and camera crews alike are trying to capture the moment. Daron takes his place at the front of the room as the wrestling media takes their seats and the scrum begins...
DARON: Hello everyone, there's a lot going on right now in the UWL and for once, I'm in the mood to talk about everything - so you, go right ahead, what's your question?
*The first reporter stands up*
SRS: Daron, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com - in the Proving Ground match, you went to a draw with Jackson Burnside, earning a future Heritage Championship match, how did you feel about your match and how do you feel about your chances in the future?
DARON: It's a fair question, Sean - hell, a few days ago I would've told you I'd knock it right out the park and be hashtag #2StrapsSmythe but after having this match I know exactly how I need to prepare for the next go round. What better place to do it than Grand Voyage? Lord knows I'm not in the UWL office but if I were, I'd sign the money match.
*Next reporter stands up*
RYAN: Daron, Ryan Satin here, Fox Sports - it seems like you're pretty focused on becoming the Heritage Champion, but after that, what are your plans?
DARON: As we go into my sixth month as Television Champion, first things first, I can't overlook Garlan Brown. Absolution is a great tag team, but maybe Garlin is looking to finally break out of the tag team mold - he's an incredible athlete, strong as a bull, and I'm sure he's looking to prove himself as a singles competitor. I'm here for it, honestly. I want all the smoke.
It looks like things are picking up across the board in the UWL - with the women's titles being folded, it opens up a whole new set of challengers - I know the ladies are talented enough - let's see what they can do.
The one person I really have my eye on is this new David Carroll guy - do I believe in all the religious stuff? Hell no - no pun intended. While I don't necessarily agree with the guy I respect someone with that much dedication and devotion to a cause. I'd give him props for being Leonardo in his first match here - but lately hasn't everyone done that? Let's see what he does when the stakes are raised.
*The next reporter stands up*
JOHN: John Pollock, Fight Network, with the one night tournament upcoming in Johnson City for a shot at the World Title on the line, are you throwing your name in the ring?
DARON: If the UWL Office knows what's good for them, and I'm not even sure they do at this point, I'll be front and center in this tournament and I'd be in the main event at Grand Voyage - but who knows? The one thing I know for sure is - my destiny is to be the UWL World Champion, the only variable is time. And speaking of time, the time for this press conference is up.
*Daron stands up and exists the room as reporters continue to shout questions unsuccessfully*
