UWL Eruption 6-24-23

The picture cuts across the arena and cuts to the ring.



Emily Lyle - The following contest is set for one fall it is the finals of the Coronation Cup!!

Cliff Morris - It's time for the finals of the Coronation Cup. In just a few moments someone will put their name in history with the historic names of this historic tournament.

Logan Acker - This is a huge opportunity for either one of these grapplers.

The lights dim in the arena and stay down for about 10 seconds. "Ministry of Lost Souls" by Dream Theater hits the p.a. system in sync with the house lights coming back up, almost too bright at first before dimming down to their normal level. David Carroll is already standing at the entrance ramp, his arms spread to the side with palms and head tilted up. His eyes are closed as he slowly lowers his head. They open slowly as a smile that can only be described as serene spreads across his lips.

Emily Lyle - From Ridge Manor, Florida, weighing two hundred and twenty seven pounds, David Carroll!!

As he starts down towards the ring, his arms slowly drop and his hands come clasped together in front of them, hanging by his waist. He casually looks to both sides of the crowd, not being affected by their reaction. When he gets to ringside, he will pick up a random fan that's booing him and tell them "I'll pray for you my brother/sister". He walks up the ring steps and gets into the ring. Once there, he stops right in the middle, his arms go to the sides with palms up once more. He nods a few times as if to tell the crowd he accepts their decision to boo him. The smile never leaves his face.




Smoke begins to rise from the top of the stage and appearing on the screen above are the following words;


A massive pop ensues as emerging from the back is Your Hero and Mine, Mark Storm; who keeps himself composed as he stands at the top of the entrance ramp. He can't help but allow his sadistic signature smirk to appear upon his lips as he closes his eyes and spreads his arms out wide, soaking in the energy that the audience are giving him as they applaud and cheer.

Emily Lyle - From New York, Brooklyn.. weighing in a two hundred and twenty five pounds - Your Hero, and Mine.. MARRKKKK STORMMMMMM

He begins his walk down the entrance ramp, with a leather coat completing his attire as he comes down the entrance ramp.

At this point, Storm is by the edge of the ring; allowing a smile to embed on his face before he jumps onto the apron and holds onto the ropes, using them to help himself up onto the turnbuckle. He's grinning from ear to ear, soaking in the rest of the cheers coming from the audience, shaking his head sideways as he lowers it, before jumping into the ring. Taking off his leather coat, he hands it to the ring announcer before walking over to his designated corner and hoisting himself up onto the second ropes, a smirk upon his lips as he holds his arms up; his theme song slowly diminishing.

Cliff Morris - Here we are the finals of the 2023 Coronation Cup. One of these two will win this prestigious tournament, and will earn a shot at the UWL World Championship on, August 5th.

They lock up into a collar and elbow tie-up. Carroll backs Storm back against the ropes, and the referee checks on the hold. Carroll steps back, moving away from Storm. They lock up, and Storm swings around, taking Carroll into a rear waistlock. Carroll breaks out of the hold, taking Storm around into a wristlock. Storm reverses out of the hold, taking Carroll into a wristlock. He twists his arm around, and Carroll stands grimacing in pain. Carroll reverses the wristlock. Storm reverses it back, reaching across nailing Carroll with a stiff forearm strike, which stuns Carroll.

Logan Acker - David Carroll is holding to his jaw shaking his head.

Carroll sits on one knee, checking his jaw. He rises up. They circle around one another, slowly moving back into a collar and elbow tie-up. Storm gains the advantage, pushing Carroll back against the ropes. The referee calls for a break. Storm grabs Carroll’s arm in the ropes. The referee calls for a break. Storm steps back, as does Carroll.

Cliff Morris - Neither man is backing down.

Logan Acker - I wouldn’t expect anything less!

They circled around one another once more. They go to lock up, and Storm kicks Carroll in the stomach. Storm comes back with a pair of repeated kicks to Carroll’s stomach, doubling him over and grimacing in pain. Carroll comes back up, Storm goes to grab him, Carroll ducks back into the corner, and the referee backs Storm up.

Cliff Morris - Again we have a stare down from these two.

Logan Acker - Neither grappler is willing to back down and neither one will.

Carroll moves from the corner. They go to lock up, and Storm pushes Carroll back against the ropes. The referee calls for a break. Storm nails Carroll with a punch, then a chop across his chest. Carroll comes back with stiff forearm strikes, which stun Storm. Storm comes back with a punch-choke combo. Carroll counters with another forearm strike.

Storm staggers back into the ropes. He bounces off, running back at Carroll, who hits him with a clothesline, which staggers him back into the ropes. Carroll comes off nailing Storm with a big boot, which staggers him. Storm bounces back up, nailing Carroll with a punch that knocks him down. Carroll bounces back up, clocking Storm with a roaring elbow, which sends him down. Storm crawls into the corner, grabbing at his jaw.

A storm rises from the corner. Carroll quickly grabs him, slamming his face into the top turnbuckle. He pulls Storm around, hitting him with a pair of stiff forearm strikes. Carroll runs back off the ropes, running back at Storm, who nails him with a running clothesline. Carroll stands near Storm; he rises to his feet. Carroll jumps up, nailing him with an enzguri. Carroll rises quickly, and Storm stumbles to his feet. Carroll nails him with a kick, which sends him into the ropes and out to the floor.

Cliff Morris - Mark Storm goes to the floor!

Logan Acker - These two are throwing heavy strikes wow!

Carroll steps out onto the ring apron. He stands on the ring apron. Storm rises slowly, and Carroll leaps off the ring apron, planting Storm into the floor with a bulldog. Carroll rises off the floor. He pulls Storm up, pushing him back into the ring. Carroll slides in behind him. He pulls Storm up, hitting him with repeated stiff forearm strikes to his face and mouth. Carroll grabs Storm up, lifting him up and down with a suplex.

Carroll runs at Storm, and he catches Carroll with a knee to the stomach, which sends Carroll over onto the mat. Carroll rolls out onto the floor. Carroll lays on the floor, and the referee goes out to check on him. Carroll rises up, moving back to the ring apron. Storm catches Carroll with a pair of punches, which almost knock him off the ring apron. Storm runs across the ring off the ropes, running at Carroll on the ring apron, hitting him with a running clothesline, knocking him off the ring apron back onto the floor.

Logan Acker - David Carroll looks shaken up after that heavy blow from Mark Storm!

Storm goes to the floor. He pulls Carroll up off the floor. He grabs him around his wrist, sending him hard into the guardrail. Carroll lies against the guardrail. Storm runs at him, hitting him with a running kick that sends him over the guardrail into the first row.

Cliff Morris - There they go into the front row!

Storm returns to the ring. Carroll slowly pulls himself up and over the guardrail, back toward the ring. Carroll looks shaken up. Carroll moves toward the ring, and he slides back into the ring. Storm nails Carroll with a stiff punch, followed by a stiff chop. Carroll staggers into the ropes. Storm pulls him off the ropes. He leans him over, nailing him with kicks that land flush into his face.

Logan Acker - You can say that again!

Storm pulls his hand back, nailing Carroll up sideways with a stiff punch that knocks him to the mat. Storm goes into the corner, moving up onto the second rope. Storm leaps off, landing down onto Carroll with an elbow drop across his chest. Storm turns, grabbing at his elbow and grimacing from the impact. Storm pulls Carroll up, grabbing him around his head into a front facelock. Storm lifts him up for a suplex, and Carroll floats over behind him. Storm turns quickly, nailing Carroll with a back elbow and knocking him back into the corner.

Cliff Morris - David Carroll just ate a back elbow!

Storm grabs Carroll around his waist into a rear waistlock. Storm gets Carroll up for a German suplex. Carroll turns, hitting Storm with back elbows. Storm blocks Carroll in the back of the head with a stiff elbow strike. Storm grabs him again and throws Carroll for a German suplex release. Carroll rolls through, pulling back up to his feet. He runs at Storm, clocking him with a running forearm strike and knocking him down. Storm comes back up, going for a standing dropkick; Carroll leans back, dodging out of the way; and Storm falls hard to the mat.

Cliff Morris - Mark Storm goes down!

Logan Acker - What a shot!

Storm rises slowly off the mat. Carroll punches him with a hard punch, and Storm staggers. Carroll spins around, nailing Storm with a stiff, roaring elbow. Carroll covers him.

Carroll pulls Storm up off the mat. He slaps him across the face. Carroll sends Storm off into the ropes. Storm runs off the ropes, and Carroll grabs him up into his arms, throwing him a capture suplex. Carroll turns, grabbing Storm off the mat. He grabs him around his head, lifting him up and planting him down with a brainbuster. Carroll rises to his feet, stepping out onto the ring apron. He makes his way up to the top rope. Carroll leaps off, landing across Storm with a diving elbow drop. Carroll turns, covering him.

Carroll rises to his feet, pulling Storm up with him. He sends him off into the ropes. Carroll follows in after him, and Storm catches Carroll dropping his neck down across the top rope with a stun gun. Carroll staggers back, and Storm takes him down with the Impending Storm . Storm covers him.

They both rolled away from one another. Carroll sits on his knees. He rises up, dropping down across Storm's back with a clubbing shot. Carroll pulls Storm up to his feet, sending him off into the ropes. Storm runs off the ropes, and Carroll jumps up, taking him down with a dropkick. Storm stumbles back up, and Carroll grabs him around his head, lifting him up and planting him down with a single-arm DDT. Carroll pushes Storm over, covering him.

Carroll rolls out to the ring apron. Carroll rises, making his way up to the top rope. Carroll jumps off for a guillotine leg drop, Storm rolls out of the way, and Carroll crashes down into the mat. Carroll sits on the mat, grimacing in pain. Storm rises up, and he runs at Carroll, hitting him with a running knee to the face. Storm pulls Carroll up off the mat, and he runs at him, nailing him with a running Lariat. Storm covers him.

Storm grabs Carroll, sending him into the corner. Storm runs in at him, and Carroll dodges out of the way. Storm turns, Carroll goes for a lariat, and Storm ducks under. Storm nails him with an enzguri to the back of his head. He grabs Carroll, taking him over in a Small Package.

They both slowly rose to their feet. Storm nails Carroll with a clothesline, and he falls back against the ropes. Storm pulls Carroll off the ropes. Storm leans Carroll over; he lifts him up, but Carroll blocks it. He flips Storm over with a back body drop; Storm holds on, and Carroll falls back onto Storm. The referee counts.

Storm bridges up. He turns, taking Carroll over with a backslide.

They both return to their feet. Storm goes for a clothesline, Carroll ducks under. He nails Storm in the back of his neck. He grabs him pulling him around, Storm blocks him. He goes for a backslide, but Carroll blocks it. He turns rakes his eyes and grabs him up and plants him down with the the Franchise (Inverted Crucifix Bomb). Carroll covers him, the referee counts.

Carroll bows his head as he sits on his knees as streamers fill the ring. UWL official Bryan Crews comes in presents the trophy to the winner David Carroll.
