UWL - Battle of the Bluegrass - 5/13/17

he show comes back from commercial as Kevin Moss slides back in the ring after high fiving the fans to meet Abby Joseph in the ring. Kevin is all smiles.

Abby Joseph - Kevin Moss, we just saw you pick up your first win here in ROA Wrestling. How does it feel?

Kevin looks around with a smile on his face, he gives the crowd a thumbs up.

Kevin Moss - We’ll….

As Kevin Moss is about to speak he’s blind sided from behind by Ethan Lucas.

Cliff Morris - What is Ethan Lucas doing?!

Logan Acker - I love it!!

Ethan pulls Kevin up, he grabs him around his head lifting him up planting him down with a brainbuster. Kevin lays flat on the mat as Ethan rises up. He walks over to Abby who is standing by the ropes. He grabs the microphone out of her hand and looks her in the eyes.

Ethan Lucas - Why don’t you ask me a question? Why don’t you ask me how I feel?

Ethan turns, he kicks Kevin knocking him back down on the mat.

Ethan Lucas - You choose to ask this idiot who’s been here a second how he liked the win!

Ethan throws the microphone down. He slides out of the ring grabbing a chair, he slides back in. Ethan throws the chair down on the mat.

Cliff Morris - What is Ethan Lucas doing?!!

Logan Acker - I hope he’s about to do what I think he’s about to do!

Ethan grabs Kevin, he leans him over lifting him up setting him up for a Tombstone Piledriver on the chair, referees slide in the ring, they stand between him and the chair, and kick the chair out of the ring. They grab Ethan, he drops Kevin as the referee’s grab him and push him back. They stand in front of Ethan Lucas as he stands breathing and looking angry.

Cliff Morris - This was uncalled for!

Logan Acker - I love it!

The show cuts to a commercial.

The show comes back from commercial. Grayson Hawksgood is standing stretching in the back. GOZOKU comes in from the ringside area, he walks past Grayson. GOZOKU walks past him and they bump into each other.

Grayson Hawksgood - Oh, sorry about that. I was stretching for my match.

GOZOKU looks at him, he stares him down.

Grayson Hawksgood - I said I was sorry.

GOZOKU shoves Grayson Hawksgood.

Grayson Hawksgood - What’s your problem?!

GOZOKU turns, he looks at Grayson, he kicks him in his stomach. He pulls his head up, slapping him in his face, he falls back into trash cans knocking them over. GOZOKU walks off as Grayson gets up as the show cuts to a commercial.

The show returns from commercial with a shot of the entrance then quickly turning toward the ring.

Emily Lyle - This match is set for one fall!

"Broken Down" by Sevendust rocks through the building as the lights fade out. As the song gets going Ethan Lucas steps out from behind the curtain with a purposeful look on his face.

Emily Lyle - From Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, weighing two hundred and ten pounds! Ethan Lucas!

Ethan heads down the aisle as the fans stick their hands out trying to touch him only to be ignored. He casually walks until he gets to the ring. He slides up onto the apron and soaks in the fans mixed reaction before climbing into the ring between the ropes. He stands on the bottom rope in the middle raising his right arm into the air with a clenched fist.

Cliff Morris - Ethan Lucas is in the ring, ready for this match up!

Logan Acker - Ethan Lucas the man who says he's going to make a difference!

Cliff Morris - That remains to be seen.

A little bit of feedback as the arena goes dark, then the opening baseline of “Allergic (To Thoughts of Mother Earth)” By Placebo starts in with white strobes timed to the flashes. Vanessa Stark steps out to the crowd with her arms in the air.

Emily Lyle - From Albany, New York, weighing one hundred and thirty pounds! Vanessa Stark!

Stark makes her way down the aisle. She slides in the ring throwing her arms in the air, and moving to her corner waiting for the match to start.

Cliff Morris - Ethan Lucas came up on the short end of the stick at Rising Force against, Jeremy Sterling. Tonight he takes Vanessa Stark, who came up on the wining side of her match at Rising Force.

Logan Acker - Ask, Vanessa Star who she felt after he match. Not to good!

Cliff Morris - That’s neither here nor there tonight. The referee is about to get this match underway.

The bell sounds. Ethan Lucas runs at Stark nailing her with clubbing shots. He pulls her around nailing her with repeated kicks. He pushes her back in the corner. Lucas starts kicking her repeatedly in the corner with kicks to the stomach. He jerks her out of the corner sending her across the ring to the opposite corner. Lucas runs in at her, Stark dodges out of the way, Lucas slams hard off the turnbuckles. Lucas turns out of the corner. Stark nails him with a dropkick. She rises up kicking him in his chest with repeated kicks. Stark goes to kick him again, he blocks it by grabbing her leg. Lucas rises up, he snaps her leg over with a dragon screw leg whip. Lucas rises up, he stomps away on Stark. Lucas drives his boot in her throat backing her against the ropes, the referee calls for a break.

Cliff Morris - Oh come on now! Back it off!

Logan Acker - The referee has till five!

Lucas steps back, the referee warns him. He turns, he runs at Stark nailing her with a running kick which sends her back down to the mat. Stark gets off the mat. Lucas runs at her nailing Stark with a roaring elbow. Lucas turns, and stomps her and turns throwing his arms out strutting around the ring.

Cliff Morris - Ethan Lucas is proud of himself!

Logan Acker - As he should be!

Lucas turns, he jerks Stark up to her feet. He grabs her around her head, lifting her up, and planting her down with a brainbuster. Lucas covers her, the referee counts.

Logan Acker - That was a slow count!

Cliff Morris - No, it wasn’t!

Logan Acker - Yes it was!

Lucas rises up off the mat. He stomps away on Stark. He jerks her up to her feet. Lucas leans her over, lifts her up and plants her down with the Trapped (Reverse Tombstone Piledriver).

Cliff Morris - Vanessa Stark just got dropped on the top of her head!

Logan Acker - That was nasty!

Lucas covers her, the referee counts.

Lucas rises up, he jerks his hand back from the referee. Lucas raises his own hand high in the air.

Cliff Morris - Ethan Lucas is real proud of himself!

Logan Acker - As he should be!

Cliff Morris - Injuring someone is something to be proud of?

Logan Acker - I didn’t say that. Plus, you don’t even know if Stark is injured or not.

EMT workers rush down to the ring to check on Vanessa Stark as the show cuts to a commercial.

The show comes back from commercial with Emily Lyle making the announcement for the next match.

Emily Lyle - This match is set for one fall!

The arena grows quiet as does every single one of its fans as the faint echo of a heart beat grows louder and louder, until it reaches its pinnacle and stops. Then as the words “There is Only One Demon” stretches across the video screen, ‘Scars’ by I Prevail blares through the speakers. The words slowly begin to shift, morphing like blood running down the wall into... “The Demon of Camden”.

Emily Lyle - From Camden, New Jersey, weighing two hundred pounds! Aiden Deimos!

He looks over the fans, and points straight at the ring as his music blares through the loud speakers. The crowd loses their minds, and he methodically makes his way through the aisle way that leads to the ring. He stops at the base of it and takes in a deep breath, rolling into the ring and awaiting the match to begin.

Cliff Morris - Aiden Deimos starts his journey without the ROA Championship!

Logan Acker - The journey's going to be long and hard especially after this match tonight!

"Let you down" by Seether starts playing in the P.A System, while the lights go out and a spot light appears in front of the curtain.

If I could speak I'd tell you all my fears and deprivations
If I could feel I'd take away your pain
If I could bleed I'd show you all my scars and imperfections
If I could breather I'd hold you in my veins


Erik Scorpion comes out of the curtain giving his back to the ring and the public, extending the right side of his jacket with his right hand.

You've got me feeling like an animal
Beat down in fear and paralyzed
You've got me feeling like I have no other hand to hold
In this assisted suicide


Scorpion turns around, still extending the right side of his jacket with his hand and gives a smirk to the public as a slight laugh escapes him. He then starts walking towards the ring.

So say something beautiful
Say something you're keeping inside
This anticipation
I will only let you down


Scorpion continues his walk towards the ring, but takes a brief pause to look around. As he sees some fans extending his hands, trying to touch him, he ignores them and gets out of the way, avoiding any kind of contact with the fans.

Emily Lyle - From Miami, Florida, weighing two hundred and five pounds! Erik Scorpion!

Scorpion runs towards the ring and slides, and just as the chorus is nearing the end, while kneeling, he puts his knuckles together, spelling "STAY DOWN"

I will only let you down.


Erik Scorpion gets up and as the song continues he just stands in a corner waiting for the match to start.

Cliff Morris - This contest is going to be a match up to watch. We have, Aiden Deimos who’s coming off losing the ROA Championship at Rising Force taking off Erik Scorpion.

Logan Acker - These two want to make a statement. My money’s on the winner.

Cliff Morris - Way to give us a clear cut opinion.

The bell sounds. They move around one another. Deimos keeps his eyes on Erik as he moves around the ring looking at Deimos. They lock up, Erik takes Deimos’ arm into a wristlock. He twist his arm around, the referee checks on the hold, but Deimos is hanging on. Erik twist his arm around as he looks into the eyes of Deimos. He pulls his arm, Deimos shoots out of the hold shooting around Erik taking him into a rear waistlock. Erik grabs his hands trying to break the hold, but Deimos has his hands locked. Erik breaks the hold, he takes Deimos arm back into the wristlock twisting his arm around. Erik takes his arm around behind him into a hammerlock. He jerks up on his arm, Deimos tries to get free, but can’t.

Cliff Morris - Erik Scorpion jerks on the arm of Aiden Deimos with the hammerlock.

Logan Acker - Erik Scorpion seems to be enjoying inflicting pain on the former ROA Champion!

Deimos turns, he manages to move Erik back into the corner, the referee calls for a break. Deimos turns, he looks Erik in the face and slowly backs up moving back away from him across the ring.

Cliff Morris - Aiden Deimos playing mind games with Erik Scorpion!

Logan Acker - Erik Scorpion should have slapped the taste out of his mouth!

They circle one another. Erik bounces on his feet. They lock up. Deimos takes Erik over with a arm drag. He turns runs off the ropes back at Erik nailing him with a double kick sending him down to the mat. Deimos rises up, he goes out to the ring apron. He moves up to the top rope. Deimos leaps off nailing Erik with a missile dropkick sending him down to the mat. Deimos turns, he sits on one knee staring a whole through Erik as he lays on the mat grimacing in pain holding his chest.

Cliff Morris - Aiden Deimos showing his speed, agility all of the above!

Logan Acker - Erik Scorpion is just toying with him you’ll see.

Erik rises up. Deimos runs at him, but gets met with a punch which stuns him. Erik turns nailing him with a spinning back fist which staggers Deimos. Erik grabs him sending him to the ropes. Deimos comes off the ropes, Erik catches him planting him down with a STO. Erik turns on one knee, he slaps the mat looking at Deimos. Erik rises up to his feet. He nails Deimos with a backhand chop. Erik grabs him sending him to the ropes. Deimos comes off the ropes. Erik jumps up nailing Deimos with a leg lariat. He rises up quickly moving back into the corner. Erik runs out of the corner, he jumps up landing down on Deimos with a running knee drop. Erik turns, he covers him, the referee counts.

Cliff Morris - Erik Scorpion with the near fall, but Aiden Deimos able to kick out at two!

Logan Acker - That was a slow count you can’t convince me it wasn’t.

Deimos rolls away from Erik under the bottom rope out to the floor. Erik runs across the ring, he dives out on Deimos with a suicide dive. Erik rises up, he moves around with a confident look on his face, the referee tells him to get it back in the ring. Erik turns, he kicks Deimos in his chest with a pair of kicks. He jerks him up slamming his face down on the ring apron. Deimos turns, he gets in Erik’s face. He slaps the ring apron. Erik slams his face off the ring apron again. Deimos turns, he gets in Erik’s face again. He slaps the ring apron.

Cliff Morris - The more Erik Scorpion slams Aiden Deimos’ face in the ring apron the more it empowers him!

Logan Acker - He’ll think empower!

Deimos knees Erik in his stomach. He grabs him slamming him off the ring steps. Erik stumbles. Deimos grabs him around his head dropping him with a neckbreaker on the floor. Deimos moves up to the ring apron. He moves up to the top rope.

Cliff Morris - Aiden Deimos is on the top rope!

Logan Acker - Why doesn’t the referee do something?!

Deimos leaps off landing down on Erik’s back with a double foot stomp planting him down into the floor. Deimos turns, he looks at the crowd with a stare. He slides back in the ring. Deimos runs across the ring, he dives back out taking Erik down with a Suicide Somersault Senton. They lay on the floor, the referee tries to get them back in the ring.

Cliff Morris - Aiden Deimos is taking it to Erik Scorpion!

Logan Acker - This isn’t good!

Cliff Morris - Not for Erik Scorpion!

Deimos jerks Erik up, he pushes him back in the ring, sliding in behind him. Deimos sits back, he waits on Erik. He rises up slowly. Deimos runs at him taking him down with a spear. Deimos covers him, the referee counts.

Logan Acker - Erik Scorpion needs to turn on the heat we saw at the start of this match!

Cliff Morris - Finally you say something smart!

Deimos goes out to the ring apron, he moves up the ropes to the top rope. Deimos stands on the top rope, he leaps off, as he does, Erik nails him with the Scorpion's Tail (Superkick). Erik leaps on him, he covers him, the referee counts.

Erik goes to the corner, he slaps the top turnbuckle, and moves on the second rope and puts his knuckles together spelling "STAY DOWN" as the stands on the second rope as the show cuts to a commercial.

The show returns from commercial with a shot of Emily Lyle standing in the ring.

Emily Lyle - This match is set for one fall!

The music begins and the lights go down. RONIN steps onto the stage and kneels down at the base of the stage, lowering his head and spreading his arms out to either side. Before rising up he points his arms forwards and forms them into guns, firing at the crowd before bursting forward into a roll. As his feet hit the ground again he leaps into the air and gets a few feet of the ground before landing again perfectly on his feet.

Emily Lyle - From Kyoto, Japan by way of Compton in Los Angeles, California, weighing one hundred and ninety five pounds! RONIN!!

RONIN looks across the crowd, crouching down before hitting a jumping spinning heel kick to the air in front of him and walking forward as he lands. He high fives a few fans on his way to the ring and once he makes it to ringside he leaps onto the apron and spins his body in the ring, holding his arms out wide once again.

Cliff Morris - RONIN looks ready.

Logan Acker - RONIN better be ready against Paisley!

The arena's lights fall sending the venue into a pitch black state, the beginning rhythms of "Acid Is Back" by the group Ekeaze hits the arena's sound system. The crowd immediately resounds in a massive cheer. A flurry of polychromatic strobe lights flicker and dance through out the arena. Paisley emerges from the back stopping at the top of the entrance ramp. She turns her back to the crowd as a spotlight flashes and rest on her position. She hops up and down letting the beat build.

Emily Lyle - From Hobart, Tasmania, weighing one hundred and thirtyteen pounds! She is one half of the ROA Tag Team Champions! Paisley!

As the beat drops he raises her hands to the sky an a shower of flower petals rain down on her on the top of the ramp. She then turns and quickly hops down the entrance ramp, high-fiving everyone before she makes it to the ring. She slides under the bottom rope and crawls towards the center of the ring. She stops at the center turning and lying on her back. Another spot light hits her and rains down more petals in the center of the ring as Paisley begins to make "snow angels" with the flowers before getting back to her feet as her music dies down and the stage hands clear the petals from the ring.

Cliff Morris - We're ready for this match up. As, RONIN takes on Paisley.

Logan Acker - As though as RONIN is, he's about to go to school, mark it down!

The referee calls for the bell. RONIN runs at Paisley, he nails her with repetaed kicks to her legs, and side. He sends her off to the ropes. Paisley comes off the ropes, RONIN nails her with a leg lariat sending her down to the mat. He rises up off the mat pulling Paisley up with him. He sends her into the ropes. Paisley runs off the ropes, he goes for a roundhouse kick, Paisley ducks under. RONIN turns, Paisley nails him with a dropkick sending him down to the mat. Paisley turns, she nails RONIN with a spinning back kick which stuns him. She jumps up nailing him with a enzguri which sends him down to the mat. Paisley rises up off the mat. She nails him with a pair of shoot kicks. She sends him off into the ropes. RONIN comes off the ropes, she runs at him nailing him with a double kick sending him down to the mat. Paisley goes out to the ring apron, she pulls herself up onto the top rope, she leaps off landing down on RONIN with a springboard frog splash. Paisley covers him, the referee counts.

Paisley rises up, she nails RONIN with repeated kicks to hsi chest. She turns throwing her arms in the air, the fans let her know what they think of her with boos. She turns, and kicks RONIN straight in the face with a kick. Paisley goes out to the ring apron. She moves up to the top rope. Paisley leaps off nailing RONIN with a missile dropkick. She rises up, kicks him with a pair of kicks. Paisley grabs RONIN and plants him with a Sliced Bread #2. Paisley covers him, the referee counts.

Paisley rises up off the mat. RONIN is trying to get up off the mat. Paisley steps toward him nailing him with a Superkick, he falls straight back on the mat. Paisley covers him, the referee counts.

Paisley rises up off the mat. She runs back at RONIN, she nails him with the Lights Out (Running Busaiku Knee Kick). Paisley covers him, the referee counts.

Lights turn on and off around the entrance at random intervals as "Bad Moon Rising" by Mourning Ritual starts up, playing over the speakers. The video package on the video shows a book laying on a table, its pages fluttering in an unseen wind, blank. A rough hand appears on screen, laying on the fluttering pages of the book to stop them from moving as the camera pans up then. Alexander is standing there in his black t-shirt and off white slacks, lip synching to the following lyrics to the song..

"Don't go around tonight
Well, it's bound to take your life
There's a bad moon on the rise"


As he mouths the last line of the song, he turns his head to face the camera and slams the book shut as the lights go off in the arena, the music quietly humming in the background as smoke starts to pour out from the entrance slowly. Lights rise up and flicker around the entrance as the music picks up again, flickering in time with the drums and guitars as Alexander makes his way out from the back, carrying that same book in his hand.

Emily Lyle - From New York City, New York, weighing one hundred and ninety pounds! He is the Endurance Champion! Alexander Devin!

He bears no smile on his face, only a calm resolute look as he stops at the top of the entrance for a second, scanning the crowd before opening his arms wide and walking down the ramp, lowering them as he gets to the ring. He climbs the steps and gets in the ring, walking to the middle and posing the same way that he did at the beginning.

Cliff Morris - Alexander Devin looks ready for this match up!

Logan Acker - I guess so. I consider Alexander Devin a two time Endurance Champion!

Cliff Morris - You're the only person who does.

Emily Lyle - From Orange County, California, weighing two hundred and thirty seven pounds! Steve Bridges!

Cliff Morris - We’re ready for action as Endurance Champion Alexander Devin takes on Steve Bridges.

Logan Acker - This will be a battle of two forces who won’t back down. I love it!

Bridges runs at Devin nailing him with wild punches, the referee signals for the bell. Bridges sends Devin to the ropes. He comes off the ropes. Bridges runs at him, he nails Devin with a dropkick sending him down to the mat. Bridges rises up off the mat. He comes at Devin nailing him with a right, then a left punch which stuns him. He sends him to the corner. Bridges runs in at him, Devin dodges out of the way. Devin runs at Bridges as he leans against the turnbuckles hitting him in his back with a big splash in the corner, ramming Bridges into the turnbuckles. Devin steps back away from Bridges. He turns stumbling from the corner. Devin runs full force at Bridges hitting him with a clothesline. Devin steps back against the ropes. He runs off the ropes, he jumps up landing down on Bridges with a running knee drop. He turns covering him, the referee counts.

Cliff Morris - That’s what you got from a kick out?

Devin pulls Bridges up off the mat. He grabs him around his head setting him up for a suplex, but Bridges blocks it. He knees Devin in his stomach stunning him. Bridges grabs Devin pulling his arm around behind his back, he slams his shoulder off the turnbuckles in the corner. Bridges turns, he grabs him by his arm locking Devin in a triangle armbar. He locks the hold on, the referee checks, Devin doesn’t give up. Bridges pulls on the hold, Devin tries to get free, but can’t. The referee checks on Devin, he doesn’t give up.

Cliff Morris - Steve Bridges has the triangle armbar locked on!

Logan Acker - Alexander Devin is in trouble!

Cliff Morris - I wouldn’t say that just yet!

Bridges pulls on the hold, the referee checks, Devin doesn’t give up. He turns looking around, and reaches the bottom rope with his free hand, the referee calls for a break. Bridges doesn’t want to break, but Devin is in the ropes. The referee starts his count.

Bridges breaks the hold. He rises up to his feet, Devin rolls out to the floor. Bridges rolls out to the floor as well. Bridges nails Devin with a pair of punches which stuns him. Devin turns, throwing his arms out and his head back. He looks at Bridges and makes his hands out with his finger pointed toward, Bridges. Devin comes at Bridges nailing him with a big boot. Devin looks down at him laying flat on his back on the floor. He jerks him up to his feet. He lifts him up dropping him throat first across the top of the guardrail. Bridges stumbles back. Devin grabs Bridges around his arm slinging him into the guardrail, he slams off the guardrail and falls to the floor laying facedown.

Cliff Morris - Alexander Devin has turned it on, or something!

Logan Acker - Alexander Devin can’t scare anyone with that act!

Cliff Morris - Why are you shaking?

Logan Acker - I’m not shaking.

Devin grabs Bridges pushing him back in the ring, sliding in behind him. Devin grabs Bridges up off the mat. He sends him into the ropes. Bridges comes off, Devin grabs him planting Bridges down with the Foreshadowing (Swinging reverse STO). Devin covers him, the referee counts.
