The training montage begins with a scene of Daron Smythe stepping into a dimly lit gym, determination etched on his face. As the camera pans out, he's surrounded by racks of weights, each one waiting to be lifted. With a steely gaze, Daron approaches the weights, his muscles flexing as he begins his intense lifting session.
Cut to Daron on a treadmill, his feet pounding against the rubber surface as he pushes himself to his limits. Beads of sweat glisten on his forehead as he increases the speed and incline, each step bringing him closer to his goal of returning to the UWL.
Next, we see Daron out in nature, running along rugged trails, his breath coming out in heavy puffs as he tackles steep inclines and rocky terrain. The wind whips through his hair as he pushes himself harder, the determination in his eyes unwavering.
Transitioning to the grappling mat, Daron engages in intense training sessions with his sparring partners, each exchange a test of strength and skill. He grapples, twists, and turns, honing his technique with each move, his focus laser-sharp as he prepares for the challenges ahead.
Back in the wrestling ring, Daron runs the ropes with precision, the sound of his boots hitting the canvas echoing throughout the arena. As exhaustion sets in, he pushes himself to go faster, to hit harder, refusing to let fatigue get the best of him.
Throughout the montage, we see Daron face moments of doubt and struggle, but with each challenge, he finds the strength to push through. Whether it's lifting weights, running on a treadmill, grappling, or wrestling, Daron's determination never wavers as he conquers each aspect of his training, knowing that he's one step closer to reclaiming his place in the ring of the UWL.
Now, sweat pouring from his face, we see Daron sitting in a folding chair, scrolling through his phone, reading the latest updates on the impending return of the UWL. Daron clicks the side button on his phone, tosses it into his duffel bag, and addresses the camera...
DARON: It was damn near a decade that I spent out of this wrestling business, but that spark never died inside of me. That flame, reduced to a mere flicker, still burnt deep within me. Somehow, I found UWL.
Changes here? What's in a name? The name's may change, but the heart and soul of this place remains the same. The same history still runs through the veins of this place, regardless of what letters you put on the doorway. In the past two years, I have been the most consistent performer on this roster - the Modern Ace of the UWL.
I look at this Newsletter and I smile. It puts a chip on my shoulder. I'll be the first to admit it, I got that UWL World Title and I got complacent. It's like the dog that chases the car down and finally catches it and bites the tire - then what? I knew it was lonely at the top but had no idea just how lonely.
And then...you lose that title and you feel like you don't fall back a notch, you feel like you fell all the way back to the bottom. But I'm not afraid of the grind - I'm not afraid of putting in the work to get back to the top.
Billy Danielson and Robb Daniels are gonna fight over that Heritage title? Best believe I'll be waiting in the wings. That Heritage title was the only UWL championship I had not held and it's in my sights. Both of these men are absolute legends in the company and if I want to be the actual ace and not just The Modern Ace, I have to beat both of them. I'll be watching them...carefully.
BRADDOCK is a bad dude. I was ready to take him on one on one, to get down to his level, to figure out what he is really all about. Maybe I'll dive head first into the underground soon, but maybe not while he is distracted by this WWA business.
Cory Chevelle is also getting sucked into this business. Rest assured, Cory, I've been working out and training every single day. I want to be the one to take that title away from you. You're the baddest dude I've been in the ring with yet and I'm still licking the wounds from our battles, physically and mentally. But, I'm not afraid - not afraid of you, not afraid to take a hit. I'm ready.
And to the WWA? If you decide to invade the Modern Ace's company, I and the entire roster will be ready and waiting. Don't let this polish and style fool you, I grew up with nothing, scrapping and fighting in a dying town. My goal is to make this MY company again and I'll be damned if any outsiders are going to damage this place.
It goes without saying - my destiny is to be UWL World Heavyweight Champion once again...the only variable...is time.
