Cyrus Rinaldi Told You So (Post-Eruption Promo)

                    


A camera crew approaches Cyrus Rinaldi in the locker room after Eruption. He is seated in a chair, untying his boots, when he looks up to see the crew hovering over him. An interviewer is heard off-camera.

Interviewer: Cyrus, can we get your reaction to winning the TWN Championship tonight on Eruption?

Cyrus stops what he’s doing. He grabs the TWN Championship belt that’s next to him, stands up, drapes the belt over his shoulder, and looks into the camera.

Cyrus Rinaldi: I told you. I told you ALL exactly what I was going to do. I said I was going to win the Beat the Clock Challenge. Check!

He makes a checking motion with his finger when he says “Check!”

Cyrus Rinaldi: I said I was going to win the TWN Championship. Check! And I said I was going to show everybody why I should have been in this position long ago. Check!

Now, people may not like how I won my title, but when you’re in a race against time and Father Time himself has your back up against the wall, you do whatever is necessary to survive. This is a down and dirty sport and a down and dirty business. It’s been that way forever. I don’t want to hear anyone get self-righteous with me. This is how this game is played. If people can’t handle that, too bad. No one has to like it. Not Daron Smythe, not Jay Jefferson, not you fans, and certainly not Blade Lavigne.

He points at the camera.

Cyrus Rinaldi: And let me just say something to you, Mr. Lavigne: don’t you EVER get involved in my business again. The referee’s decision is final. He awarded me the match and the title. If you don’t like how I won the title, then step in the ring and try to take it from me; but don’t come down to the ring to snitch on the champ and try to get the referee’s decision reversed! You ever pull a stunt like that again and a steel chair across your dome will be the least of your problems!

He looks off-camera to the interviewer.

Cyrus Rinaldi: Now get the hell out of here. I’m going to get showered, get dressed, go out and celebrate my newly won TWN Championship, and then get back on the road so I can defend this little beauty and win the Coronation Cup. People better get used to me carrying around gold here in UWL, because I’m going to do it until I don’t feel like doing it anymore!

He looks into the camera and then back at the interviewer.

Cyrus Rinaldi: Did you not hear me? Get out!

The interviewer, slightly intimidated, can be heard saying “Let’s go, guys.” The video ends abruptly.
