UWL Eruption 6-15-24

The picture cuts across the arena and cuts to the ring.



Emily Lyle - The following contest is a Double Jeopardy Match and it is for the Universal Wrestling Council World Championship!!!

Cliff Morris - Let's cover the rules of this match. It's two singles matches going on at one time. The wrestlers who out last the eliminations will face off to determine the winner of this match.

Logan Acker - Let's not forget this match will have two referee's one referee in the ring and one on the floor.

The lights in the arena go out and there's the sound of thunder cracking. "Weather Man" starts to play and a few seconds in lights come up focused on the aisle way. Jackson Burnside stands in the entryway behind a black umbrella with "The Weatherman" written across it in reflective silver lettering. As the lyrics to the song kick in he spins the umbrella, and eventually spins it around himself in a twirl. Jackson faces the crowd, throws the umbrella over his shoulder one right hand and he makes a "finger gun" motion out to the crowd with his left.

Emily Lyle: "Blowing in from the Windy City; standing six-five and weighing in tonight at three-hundred and ten pounds, 'The Weatherman', Jackson Buuuuurnsiiiiiide!"

As Emily announces him, Jackson walks on down to the ring with a pep in his step in very performative manner. He sings along with the lyrics to "Weather Man", he bumps fists with people in the crowd, points around with his free hand or the umbrella. Jackson reaches the ring and rolls under the bottom rope. He gets up one knee at a time and walks in a small circle. The song begins to to build up the chorus and Jackson climbs up to the nearest turnbuckle. He puts his head down and holds the umbrella with both hands.



Jackson throws his head back in sync with the song. His right arm raises the closed umbrella high into the air. He holds up on the top rope for awhile, and finally after jumping down he removes the long black leather coat and sunglasses. He hands them along with the umbrella to somebody at ringside. He takes a moment to bounce off the ropes and he runs them a few times. Finally he stops in the middle of the ring and continues to hype himself up while waiting.




The lights dim in the arena and the words "I AM #1" flash on the video screen...

The house lights come back up and standing in the center of the stage, holding a single finger high in the air, is #1 Daron Smythe.

Emily Lyle - From Wheeling, West Virginia, weighing two hundred and fifty six pounds, Daron Smythe!!

Smythe looks out at the crowd, some holding up their own version of the single finger salute, as he saunters down the aisle towards the ring, confidently keeping that finger in the air as he steps through the rope and climbs to the second rope in one corner of the ring.



The crowd is buzzing when suddenly the lights go out.



"Born for Greatness" by Papa Roach plays as the crowd buzzes, as the crowd goes nuts. The first verse plays out, causing more anticipation. As the verse comes to the end it pauses for a moment. All of the lights go out again, but then come right back on in full brightness!!!



Suddenly, Billy "The G.O.A.T." Danielson walks out from behind the curtain to a huge pop, as he makes his way down to the ring. He's in wrestling gear, high-fiving fans as he makes his way to the ring. He wipes his feet before going up to the apron, and into the ring. The fans continue to cheer as Danielson throws his arms in the air. He slowly backs into his corner and waits for the bell to ring.



Danielson walks around the ring. Robert Daniels comes down the aisle, slides into the ring. They come at one another. They start trading punches.



The lights around the arena go dark. The drum beats begin slowly pounding until the few chords of Promentory begin playing. Smoke begins filling the stage area as the music builds to a slow climax. After a minute as the chords begin crunching and raising in intensity, Chevelle appears walking out on stage with the UWL World Heavyweight Championship around his waist and Nicole Sanders alongside him.

Emily Lyle - Ladies and gentlemen, From Bootjack, Missouri! Weighing in at 290 pounds! He is the WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION! CORRRY! CHEVELLLLLLE!

Chevelle makes his way through the smoke. His cold blue eyes focused on the ring. He removes the UWL World Heavyweight Championship and hands it to Nicole. She kisses him for luck and then Chevelle springs up to the side apron and then hops over the ropes. The crowd is on its feet with a mixed primarily consisting of boos with some cheers for the champion. Chevelle looks out to the crowd and flexes followed by a pec juggle and turns his attention to his opponent.

Cliff Morris - It’s main event time. As we have Double Jeopardy for the UWL World Championship.

Logan Acker - This is going to be a barn burner.

The referee calls for the bell. Cory Chevelle stands across from Billy Danielson. As Daron Smythe stands across from Jackson Burnside. Chevelle runs at Danielson nailing him with a right hand that staggers him. Danielson comes back with a right hand of his own. Smythe goes to hit Burnside but gets blocked and taken down with a clothesline that sends him down to the mat.

Cliff Morris - Jackson Burnside sends Daron Smythe down with a clothesline that nearly took his head off.

Logan Acker - Daron Smythe looks like he’s already shaken up after that clothesline!

Danielson takes Chevelle into a wrist lock, twisting his arm around. Chevelle reverses taking Danielson into a wrist lock of his own, Danielson drops to one knee grimacing in pain. Danielson rolls forward springing back up, reversing the wrist lock back on Chevelle. He rolls forward springing back up. Danielson grabs Chevelle on his kick up taking him over with a fireman’s carry slam. Danielson circles around asking for a knuckle lock, Chevelle is leery. Chevelle slowly locks up with Danielson into the knuckle lock, they slam chest to chest with the other trying to gain the advantage. Danielson steps around taking Chevelle’s leg out from under him pulling him back.

Logan Acker – Billy Danielson taking the slow and steady approach.

Chevelle bridges backup, rising back up taking Danielson’s leg out pushing him back. Danielson bridges back up, he rolls to the mat holding onto Chevelle’s hands. He flips him over into a pinning spot.

Chevelle rolls over, reversing it sitting on Danielson’s chest.

Across the ring, Burnside goes to kick Smythe, he grabs his leg, slapping it down. Smythe nails Burnside with a spin kick. They both return to their feet. Smythe looks at Burnside, he pushes him. Smythe kicks him in his stomach, nailing Burnside on his back with hard clubbing shots. Smythe sends Burnside off into the ropes. He runs off the ropes back at Smythe drops down, Burnside runs over. Burnside runs off the ropes back at Smythe he leapfrogs over him. Burnside returns into the ropes, Smythe drops down, Burnside rolls through. Smythe rises up, Burnside nails him down with a clothesline which sends Smythe back down hard onto the mat.

Cliff Morris - Jackson Burnside sends Daron Smythe back down to the mat with another hard clothesline.

Logan Acker – Daron Smythe should know better and watch out for those hard hitting clotheslines from Jackson Burnside.

Chevelle takes Danielson into a hammerlock, reversed by Danielson. Chevelle takes Danielson into a top wristlock, reversed by Danielson, he nails him with a back elbow. Danielson nails Chevelle with a strike to his throat which stuns him. He pulls him around nailing him with another thrust to his throat. Chevelle comes out of the corner nailing Danielson with repeated chops. He grabs him, dropping him with a side Russian leg sweep. Chevelle rises to his feet moving to the outside, he makes his way up to the top rope. Chevelle leaps off landing down onto Danielson with a leg drop. Chevelle turns covering him.

Burnside sends Smythe into the corner. Burnside runs in at him, Smythe dodges out of the way, Burnside slams into the corner. Smythe grabs Burnside out of the corner throwing him with a half nelson suplex. He kicks him with a hard kick. Smythe pulls him to his feet. Smythe grabs him around his head lifting him up and down with a suplex. He rises up again stomping away on Burnside.

Cliff Morris - Daron Smythe stomping Jackson Burnside like there’s not tomorrow.

Smythe jerks Burnside toward him and starts clubbing him with punches across his back and to his neck. Burnside manages to counter, landing a forearm strike flush into Smythe’s face. He backs him into the corner. Burnside starts landing repeated forearm strikes. He grabs Smythe’s arm and jerks it across the top rope. The referee calls for a break. Burnside jerks his arm around the top rope. Burnside steps back and lands a flush kick to Smythe’s arm. Burnside steps back as the referee checks on Smythe he walks past him.

Cliff Morris - Daron Smythe walks past the referee as he tries to talk to him.

Smythe lifts Burnside up, throwing him back into the corner. He nails him with clubbing shots in the corner. Smythe grabs Burnside as he tries to escape and throws him back against the turnbuckles once again. He levels him with repeated punches. Smythe turns and clocks Burnside in the corner with a big back elbow that lands flush in his jaw stunning him. Smythe turns again hitting Burnside with a back elbow. Burnside falls in a seated position on the mat.

Smythe comes back toward Burnside as he’s still in a seated position in the corner. He kicks him in his chest. He rams his foot into the throat of Burnside in the corner. The referee calls for a break. But Smythe keeps choking him in the corner. The referee calls for a break and begins his count.

Smythe steps back as Burnside is stunned gasping for breath as he holds at his throat. Smythe turns running at Burnside landing a knee to his face knocking him back into the corner. Smythe stomps away on Burnside as he lays in the corner with repeated kicks to his chest and face. Smythe jerks Burnside up to his feet. He sends him across into the opposite corner. He runs in at him hitting him with a clothesline in the corner.

Smythe pulls Burnside out of the corner. He grabs him around his head taking him down with a hard bodyslam. Smythe goes back hitting off the ropes running back hitting him with a running knee. Smythe stands over the fallen World Champion laying in with repeated stomps to his chest and face. Smythe steps back and looks at the crowd with an intense look on his face. Burnside rises up to his feet. Smythe grabs him, tossing him out to the floor.

The referee warns him as Smythe steps out through the ropes to the floor. The referee stands looking on as both men are on the floor now. Smythe pulls Burnside up and sends him sailing into the guardrail. Burnside lays up against the guardrail. The referee calls for them to get back into the ring. Smythe runs at him but Burnside dodges out of the way and Smythe slams into the guardrail. Burnside rises up and gathers himself. He grabs Smythe’s arm and slams it down across the top of the guardrail. Smythe stumbles clutching his arm. Burnside grabs his arm and pulls it around the ring post.

Logan Acker - Oh the brutality!

Burnside steps back as Smythe turns moving along the floor clutching to his arm grimacing in pain. Burnside slides back in as Smythe rolls under the bottom rope. Burnside lands a pair of kicks to Smythe’s arm. He grabs the top rope, pushes himself up, jumps up and lands down onto Smythe’s arm. He clutches to his arm grimacing in pain. Burnside grabs his arm laying it flat across the mat. He jumps up landing down onto his arm with a jumping knee drop. Burnside grabs Smythe’s arm and locks him into an arm bar. Burnside is on his knees as he has Smythe’s arm wrapped around in the arm bar. The referee checks on Smythe he doesn’t give up shaking his head no.

Logan Acker - Daron Smythe has nowhere to go!

Burnside has the hold locked on tight and the referee checks on Smythe as he's riving in pain.

Cliff Morris - Daron Smythe is screaming in pain!

Smythe rolls as the referee checks on him. He rolls Burnside into the ropes. Burnside breaks the hold. He rises up slowly, grabbing Smythe's arm and wrapping it around the middle rope. He pulls on his arm as he has it wrapped around the middle rope. The referee stands checking on things. Burnside steps back as Smythe clutches his arm against his body grimacing in pain.

Cliff Morris - Jackson Burnside looks on as Daron Smythe is down!

Burnside grabs Smythe’s arm pulling his arm around slamming it down across the top rope. Burnside comes at Smythe and gets met with a punch with his good arm. Burnside stumbles slightly. Burnside shakes it off and comes at Smythe and gets met again with a punch with his good arm which stuns him. Smythe clutches his arm against his body grimacing in pain. Smythe comes at him as he does, Burnside kicks Smythe in his arm which causes him to stumble grabbing his arm.

Cliff Morris - Daron Smythe staggers around grabbing at his arm.

Chevelle stands on the floor pulling the ring skirt up pulling out a ladder.

Cliff Morris - Cory Chevelle goes out after a ladder!

Logan Acker - This match has no disqualification!

He pulled it up and clocked Burnside in the back with the top of the ladder. Chevelle slides the ladder into the ring. He turned and clocked Burnside again with the ladder in the stomach. Chevelle turns and clocked Smythe with the ladder he falls back against the ropes. Chevelle sets the ladder up in the corner. He grabs Danielson to send him into the ladder. But Danielson reverses it and sends Chevelle into the ladder. Chevelle’s back slams off the ladder as he staggers forward and gets taken down with a ripcord knee strike. He covers him, the referee counts.

Burnside drops a leg drop down across Danielson’s neck to break up the count.

Burnside pulls Danielson up and leans him over setting him up for a powerbomb. Smythe runs at Burnside and connects with a lariat that sends him falling back onto the mat. Smythe grabs Burnside up and connects with the Hypnobang (Hip toss into neckbreaker). He covers him, the referee counts.

Smythe rises up as he does Chevelle swings a chair around wildly taking Smythe down to the mat. Smythe lays face down on the mat. Chevelle goes to hit Burnside with the chair, but Danielson grabs the chair. He pulls the chair out of Chevelle’s hands and smacks the chair off his back. Chevelle staggers arching his back in pain. Danielson grabs him around his head and goes to send him around into a front facelock. But Chevelle blocks it, whipping Danielson around taking him into a rear waistlock. Chevelle throws him back with a German suplex with a bridge, the referee counts.

Chevelle turns up to his feet. He grabs the ladder in the corner. Burnside runs at Chevelle with his back turned and nails him with a big boot that lands to the back of his head and slams Chevelle’s face into the ladder. Burnside turns and Smythe lands a lariat that stuns him. Danielson turns Chevelle around. He steps back and lands the Chicago Blackout (Knee Strike). Smythe lands a Superkick on Burnside. Smythe covers Burnside as Danielson covers Chevelle, both referee’s count.

Logan Acker - I can believe what I’ve just seen!!

The fans rise to their feet in shock.

Cliff Morris - One of these two will be the new UWL World Champion!!

Danielson charges at him hitting him with a clothesline, which sends both competitors down to the floor. Danielson rises to his feet first, as Smythe gets to his feet, Danielson goes to throw a punch, but Smythe blocks it. He pulls Danielson around throwing him face first into the ring post, Danielson falls to the floor grabbing at his face. Smythe pulls Danielson up grabbing him into a front facelock. Smythe goes for a suplex, but Danielson blocks it. Smythe tries again, but Danielson blocks it. Danielson lifts Smythe up, sending him across the guardrail stomach first. Smythe leans over the guardrail falling over onto the floor.

Logan Acker - Billy Danielson has come out focused as I’ve seen him in a long time!

Danielson stomps away on the side of Smythe, as he lays on the floor. Danielson pulls him to his feet, he goes to send him into the ring apron, but Smythe reverses it, pulling Danielson around into the guardrail. Smythe grabs the dazed Danielson holding onto him, throwing him down with a snap suplex onto the floor. Danielson lays on the floor arching his back, riving in pain. Smythe rises to his feet. Danielson slowly gets off the floor sliding back into the ring. Smythe moves onto the ring apron, he makes his way up to the top rope. Smythe leaps off the top rope taking down Danielson with a missile dropkick. Smythe turns on the mat grabbing Danielson into a STF. The referee stands over, as Danielson is screaming in pain trying to get out of the hold.

Danielson staggers back to his feet, he falls back into the corner begging off, as Smythe moves toward him. Smythe goes to grab him, but Danielson kicks Smythe in his stomach. Danielson moves out of the corner, throwing Smythe around into the corner. Danielson kicks away on Smythe landing hard kicks to his stomach. Danielson starts punching Smythe repeatedly in his stomach, as the referee tells them to back it up. Danielson steps back, he turns looking at the crowd with a smile across his face. He turns back, throwing punches at Smythe’s stomach. Danielson grabs Smythe’s leg, he wraps his leg around the middle rope, pulling it back. The referee calls for a break, as he does, Danielson steps back.

Cliff Morris - These two are throwing everything they have at one another!

Danielson grabs Smythe’s wrist, sending him across the ring into the corner. Danielson runs in at him, but Smythe dodges out of the way, as Danielson slams into the turnbuckles. Smythe grabs Danielson around the back of his neck slamming his face into the top turnbuckle, repeatedly. Smythe steps back, as Danielson turns staggering out of the ring, falling face first into the mat. Danielson manages to roll under the bottom rope out onto the floor. Smythe steps out onto the ring apron, as Danielson rises up to his feet, he turns, as Smythe dives off the ring apron taking Danielson down with a diving forearm shot. Smythe rises up to his feet first, as Danielson gets to his feet Smythe sends him into the ring post. Smythe grabs Danielson’s arm pulling it back around the ring post, as he pulls his leg up for leverage.

Cliff Morris - We saw this earlier from Jackson Burnside doing the same to Daron Smythe now he has turned the tables and has Billy Danielson’s arm around the ring post!

Logan Acker - This is brutal!

Smythe lets loose Danielson's arm. He steps back, as Danielson moves away from the ring post. Smythe grabs him around his wrist, he goes to send him into the guardrail, but Danielson manages to reverse it, throwing Smythe into and over the ring steps. Danielson grimaces in pain, as he clutches at his arm. Danielson pulls the ring steps apart. He lifts the ring steps up to hit Smythe, but Smythe nails Danielson in his stomach knocking him back onto the floor.

Cliff Morris - These two are tearing one another apart!!

Smythe slides back into the ring, slowly behind him is Danielson. Smythe whips Danielson into the corner. He runs in at him for a running knee in the corner, but Danielson dodges out of the way, as Smythe’s legs slam into the top turnbuckle. Danielson with a smile on his face grabs Smythe leg flipping over snapping his leg over. Smythe grabs at his leg screaming in pain. Danielson grabs his leg placing it over the bottom rope. Danielson stands over it, he jumps up landing down onto Smythe’s leg. Smythe turns grabbing at his leg screaming in pain.

Logan Acker - Billy Danielson needs to get on the attack and not let up!

Danielson drags Smythe into the corner. Danielson slides out of the ring, as Smythe’s legs are around the ring post, as Danielson stands on the outside. Danielson slams Smythe’s leg into the ring post. Danielson grabs his leg, crosses his leg over, and falls back onto the floor, locking Smythe into a figure four around the ring post. Danielson pulls back, as the referee stands on the floor close to Smythe, as Danielson pulls back, adding pressure to Smythe leg.

Cliff Morris - These two are tearing one another apart!

Danielson breaks the hold, as both men fall back onto the floor. Smythe is grabbing at his leg, as Danielson rises to his feet. He pulls Smythe up off the floor pushing him back into the ring, sliding in behind him. Danielson grabs Smythe's leg, but he kicks him off. Danielson steps back.

Cliff Morris - Billy Danielson steps back!

Logan Acker - Danielson doesn’t need to waste time!

Danielson goes to hit Smythe's but gets kicked with his free leg knocking Danielson back. Smythe turns limping slightly with a grimace on his face. Smythe keeps hitting Danielson with repeated punches causing Danielson to stagger across the ring. Smythe falls to his knees from the pressure on his leg.

Cliff Morris - Daron Smythe goes down!!

Smythe rises up slowly. Danielson comes at him. He gets hit with a clubbing shot in the stomach. Danielson doubles over. Smythe takes him over into a small package, the referee counts.

They return to their feet. Smythe takes the dazed Danielson over with a backslide, the referee counts.

They both return to their feet. Smythe comes at Danielson and gets kicked in his leg stunning him. Danielson drops Smythe with the Thinning the Herd (RKO). Danielson covers him, the referee counts.

Danielson slaps the mat. He rises up slowly off the mat. He moves back near the ropes. Smythe rises up slowly off the mat. Danielson runs at Smythe, taking him off his feet, planting him down with a spear. He covers him, the referee counts.

Danielson rises up to his feet. He grabs Smythe, sending him into the corner. He runs in at him, but Smythe comes out of the corner and takes Danielson down with a lariat. Smythe pulls Danielson up leaning him over lifting him up, planting Danielson with a Piledriver. He rises up and drops Danielson with a Superkick. Smythe covers him, the referee counts.

Smythe takes the belt clutching it to his chest as the show comes to a end.
