UWL Eruption 10-5-24

The picture cuts across the arena and cuts to the ring.



Emily Lyle - The following contest is set for one fall with a sixty minute time limit and it is for the Universal Wrestling League World Championship!

The arena's lights fall sending the venue into a pitch black state, the beginning rhythms of "Requiem" hits the arena's sound system. The crowd immediately resounds with a roar of boos. Lights begin to fill through out the arena. Rylee emerges from the back stopping at the top of the entrance ramp.

Emily Lyle - From Atlanta, Georgia, weighing one hundred and thirteen pounds, Rylee Poverly!!

She turns her back to the crowd as the lights flicker all around her. She makes her way down the aisle waving off the fans extending their hands to tough her. Rylee enters the ring standing in the center of the ring with her arms extended looking out at the crowd.



The lights dim in the arena and the words "I AM #1" flash on the video screen...

The house lights come back up and standing in the center of the stage, holding a single finger high in the air, is #1 Daron Smythe.

Emily Lyle - From Wheeling, West Virginia, weighing two hundred and fifty six pounds, he is your Universal Wrestling League World Champion Daron Smythe!!!!

Smythe looks out at the crowd, some holding up their own version of the single finger salute, as he saunters down the aisle towards the ring, confidently keeping that finger in the air as he steps through the rope and climbs to the second rope in one corner of the ring.



Cliff Morris - It's main event time for the richest prize in our sport the UWL World Championship. As Daron Smythe takes on Rylee Poverly in our main event.

The bell sounds, as Poverly moves slowly around Smythe, as he steps around slowly moving around the ring. They move to lock up, as they do, Smythe nails Poverly with a kick to the stomach, which doubles her over. Smythe connects with a vicious European uppercut, which staggers Poverly. Smythe rushes at Poverly for a lariat, but she ducks under the lariat attempt. Smythe turns, as he does Poverly hits Smythe with a chop block, which stuns Smythe. As Smythe stands stunned, Poverly grabs him around his planting him down with a bulldog. Poverly rises to her feet, she steps back, as Smythe slowly rises up to his feet. She runs at him connecting with a bicycle kick sending Smythe down to the mat. Smythe lays flat on his face on the mat, as Poverly stands over him. Poverly drops down grabbing Smythe around his arm, trapping him into an arm bar. Poverly pulls on the hold, as the referee checks on Smythe asking him if he gives up, which he shakes his head no.

Cliff Morris – Rylee Poverly pulling back on the arm bar as Daron Smythe tries to get to the ropes.

Logan Acker – No way, no way Daron Smythe gives up there’s no way.

Poverly pulls back, as Smythe tries to get out of the hold, but just can’t. Smythe tries moving around, but can’t get out of the hold. the referee checks on Smythe asking him if he gives up, but Smythe shakes his head no, as he moves trying to drag himself toward the ropes. Poverly pulls back adding more pressure on the hold, as Smythe moves around dragging himself placing his foot on the bottom rope. the referee calls for a break, as Poverly rises to her feet breaking the hold. Poverly moves back, as Smythe slowly rises to his feet. Poverly runs at Smythe, but gets met with a European uppercut, which staggers Poverly. Smythe grabs Poverly lifting her up sending her down with a running powerslam. Poverly lays on the mat riving in pain.

Cliff Morris – Daron Smythe plants Rylee Poverly with a hard running powerslam.

Logan Acker – Rylee Poverly just got slammed into the mat.

Smythe pulls Poverly up to her feet, he sends her into the corner. Poverly lays back in the corner, as Smythe charges at her, but Poverly moves out of the way. Smythe leans over in the corner. Poverly pulls him back, sending him face down on the mat. Poverly stands over Smythe, she grabs him and locks back on the arm bar. Poverly pulls back, as Smythe tries to break the hold. The referee checks on Smythe, but he doesn’t give up. Poverly pulls back, adding more pressure onto the hold, as Smythe tries to break free. Smythe manages to reach out grabbing the bottom rope. The referee calls for a break. Poverly breaks the hold as Smythe slowly rises up riving in pain.

Cliff Morris – Daron Smythe was able to get to the ropes but at what cost.

Logan Acker – Daron Smythe is riving in pain after being locked in the arm bar from Rylee Poverly.

Poverly comes back around running at Smythe but gets met with a back elbow. Smythe runs at Poverly nailing her with a kick to the face. He pulls Poverly up off the floor, and pushes her back into the ring, and slides in behind her. Smythe rises to his feet, he moves around Poverly, as she slowly rises to her feet. Smythe grabs Poverly around her arm, and steps around her, and sends Poverly down with a side Russian leg sweep. Smythe turns covering her, the referee counts

.. Kick out.

Smythe pulls Poverly up to her feet taking her into a side headlock. Poverly quickly sends Smythe off into the ropes. Smythe hits off the ropes, as he does. Poverly grabs him, nailing him with a European uppercut, which staggers him. She grabs him around his head, she kicks off the ropes, turns planting him down with a reverse DDT. Poverly pushes him over, she covers him, the referee counts.

2.. Kick out.

They both return to their feet. Poverly nails Smythe with a pair of European upper cuts that stun him. She runs off the ropes and gets met with a lariat from Smythe. Poverly turns inside and out laying facedown on the mat. Smythe steps back as Poverly rises up off the mat slowly. Smythe runs at Poverly and hits her with a Superkick. Smythe covers her, the referee counts.

Smythe takes the World Championship belt standing tall in the ring as the show comes to a end.
