It's time for another edition of the UWL Control Center, so let's get right to it.
Caleb Hart has won the 2022 Coronation Cup. Caleb Hart becomes the first two-time winner of the Coronation Cup and will now move to May 28th at UWL: Grand Voyage to take on Jackson Burnside for the ROA Championship. The semi-finals and finals saw all three matches become Match of the Year Candidates. Jackson Burnside's first pin fall defeat came from Billy Danielson in 7 months. This was Burnside's first defeat since September 25th, 2021. Billy Danielson has promised to carry this momentum and get his chance at the ROA Championship sooner than later. The 2022 Coronation Cup is in the books, and we thank everyone for their support following the 2022 Coronation Cup.
Rylee Poverly attacked King Pantera while he was in the ring conducting an interview. Poverly attacked him with a chair and ripped off his mask in the process. In his speech, King Pantera gave a passionate speech, challenging Rylee Poverly to a match on May 28th at Grand Voyage. ROA officials have granted this match, and on April 20th, the stipulation for this match will be announced.
On April 16th, Zimmerman picked up the win over Mark Storm. But Zimmerman landed a low blow and stole the victory. Mark Storm has requested a rematch. ROA officials will grant a rematch, but no date has been announced. On April 20th, Mark Storm will take on Horizon Champion Billy Danielson in a Proving Ground Match. If Mark Storm can make it through the special 15-minute time limit or pick up a win, he will earn a shot at the Horizon Championship.
ROA Tag Team Champions La TaylorMade will defend the ROA Tag Team Championship on April 20th against The Empire of Ethan Lucas and Ron Gregory. The Empire has been calling out La TaylorMade, saying they are disrespectful and only care about themselves and not the history of ROA. On April 16th, these two teams had a pull-apart brawl. Now they'll settle things in the ring with the ROA Tag Team Championship on the line.
UWL officials have been called about the possibility of bringing UWL to their towns. We will keep you posted on this when we learn new information.
UWL officials had closed-door meetings today and are scheduled to meet again tomorrow at the ROA offices in Knoxville. We've heard rumors about these meetings, but we cannot comment on them at this time. We will keep a close eye on this situation and let everyone know when we're able to release the information.
That's it for the Newsletter at this time. Until next time!
