UWL Saturday Night Eruption 6-11-22

The show opens scanning across the arena and cuts to the ring.



Emily Lyle - The following contest is set for one fall with a fifteen minute time limit!

Tyler Barrett steps out onto the stage to no music. He stands with his hands on his hips, looks at the crowd, turning his head from side to side looking at the crowd.

Emily Lyle - From Atlanta, Georgia, weighing two hundred and twenty seven pounds, Tyler Barrett!

Tyler Barrett slowly walks down the aisle to the ring.

The tron plays a scene of the hollywood walk of fame going by slowly, the shadow of a raven seen over each and every star that’s there. As you hear the lyrics ‘Your stars burned out for good, somewhere in Hollywood’, the shadow flies into the one star without a name, writing out Autumn’s name on it, the star turning to a dingy, grungy picture with graffiti written all over it.

Emily Lyle - From St. Paul, Minnesota, weighing one hundred and twenty five pounds, Autumn Raven!!

As the first part of the song starts up, Autumn appears from backstage, slowly walking out, coming to a stop at the top of the ramp as she surveys the crowd with a cold smirk on her face. She stands there for a minute before making her way down the ramp slowly, walking once around the ring before sliding under the bottom rope and hopping to her feet, making her way to the corner to climb to the top ring post. She flings her arms out to the side, laughing at the crowd.

Cliff Morris - It’s time for our next match up. As Autumn Raven takes on Tyler Barrett. We shall see if Tyler Barrett has his focus after having to unmask at Grand Voyage.

The bell sounds, they move into a collar and elbow tie up. Raven quickly takes Barrett over with an arm drag. Barrett sits on one knee looking back at Raven. He slowly rises to his feet, as they lock back up. Raven takes Barrett into a side headlock into a go behind into a hammerlock. Barrett manages to get into the ropes causing a break. Raven steps back breaking the hold. Barrett turns, they circle one another. Barrett goes for a knuckle lock, he holds his hands up wanting a knuckle lock. Raven walks toward Barrett going for the knuckle lock. Barrett breaks the hold, he takes Raven around into a wristlock. Barrett twist her arm around, as Raven grimaces in pain.

Raven reverses the wrist lock taking Barrett into a wristlock. She twist Barrett arm around, as he drops to one knee grimacing in pain. Barrett comes up to his feet, he manages to lift Raven up throwing her down with a bodyslam. Raven bounces back up to her feet, as they stand off. They lock back up, Raven takes Barrett back into the headlock. She wrenches her arms around his head. Raven goes back around into the hammerlock on Barrett. She pulls up his arm, as Barrett tries to get out of the hold, but just can’t.

Cliff Morris - Tyler Barrett needs to get free but I am sure he will hang on.

They both walk back against the ropes. Barrett reaches around taking Raven around snapping her down with a snapmare. Barrett sends Raven into the ropes, she runs off the ropes, Barrett nails her with a back elbow. Barrett lands a stiff punch, which stuns Raven. Barrett grabs Raven snapping her back over with a snapmare into a rear chinlock. Barrett locks his arms tight around Raven’s head.

They return to their feet, Raven sends Barrett off into the ropes. Barrett runs off the ropes running back at Raven hitting her with a shoulder block. Barrett turns running back off the ropes. Barrett runs off the ropes, he runs back at Raven, she leapfrogs over him, as Barrett returns back into the ropes. He runs back at Raven, she monkey flips him over onto the mat. They both return to their feet, Raven nails him with a leg lariat. Raven nails Barrett with a spinning back kick, which sends him down to the mat.

Raven hits Barrett across his shoulder with a double ax handle. Raven takes Barrett arm into a arm bar. Barrett rises to his feet, he forces Raven back against the ropes. Barrett takes Raven over with a arm drag. They both return to their feet, Raven goes for a dropkick, Barrett steps back dodging out of the way. Barrett catches Raven with a pair of punches. He grabs her around her head lifting her up for a suplex, she counters floating around behind him. Raven turns him around, Barrett dodges out of the way. He turns and clocks Raven with a Jawbreaker Lariat. He covers her, the referee counts.

Barrett rises up looking at the crowd. He looks around and exits the ring and heads to the back.

Cliff Morris - Tyler Barrett leaves the ring without explaining anything!

Logan Acker - I am sure Tyler Barrett isn't ready to talk but will in do time!

The show cuts to a break.

“Enforcer” Anthony Cross walks out of his locker room in his wrestling gear with his newly won UWL Heritage Championship belt over his left shoulder when Abby Joseph approaches him. With a cold look in his eyes, Anthony looks over at Abby.

Abby Joseph: Anthony, I know your first title defense is coming up shortly but may I get a word?

Anthony nods his head in agreement.

Abby Joseph: First, let me congratulate you on your huge win when you became the new UWL Heritage Champion. Tonight though you will be putting this championship up against Mark. What are your thoughts going into this match?

“Enforcer” Anthony Cross: Do you know that Mark and I have something in common, Abby?

Abby Joseph: What is that, Anthony?

“Enforcer” Anthony Cross: Abs, being the lady who should be in the know I am saddened that you don’t know. Mark and I are both Brooklynites. But that is where the similarities end because Mr. Storm wants to pass himself off as a hero who is ambivalent to the rest of the world where I on the other hand see the world for what it really is with flaws and all.

Abby Joseph: That is an awfully cynical way to look at things.

“Enforcer” Anthony Cross: Welcome to the real world, Abs, and don’t let Mark fool you because a cynic like him is an idealist who has been let down way too many times, Which is why he couldn’t pull off the victory a couple weeks ago. He didn’t have the stomach to do what he needed to do to walk out as with this championship belt that is currently over my shoulder and he won’t be able to do it tonight because I will be making this championship the biggest in this business. Then when the time is right I will execute my UWL Championship opportunity and finally be able to lay claim as the UWL World Champion.



Anthony smiles at Abby then walks off.

The show opens scanning across the arena and cuts to the ring.



Emily Lyle - The following contest is set for one fall with a twenty minute time limit and it is for the UWL Tag Team Championship!

The arena's lights fall sending the venue into a pitch black state, the beginning rhythms of "Charlemagne" hits the arena's sound system. The crowd immediately resounds with a roar of boos. Lights begin to fill through out the arena. Rylee and Sage emerge from the back stopping at the top of the entrance ramp, looking at the crowd before turning looking at one another.

Emily Lyle - At a total combined weight of two hundred and sixty eight pounds, Rylee Poverly, Sage Jenkins, they are Fabulous!!

They turn moving down the aisle as the lights flicker all around them. They make their way down the aisle waving off the fans extending their hands to to them. Rylee and Sage enter the ring standing in the center of the ring with their arms extended looking out at the crowd.

"Broken Down" by Sevendust rocks through the building as the lights fade out. As the song gets going Ethan Lucas and Ron Gregory step out from behind the curtain with a purposeful look on their faces. Ethan heads down the aisle as the fans stick their hands out trying to touch him only to be ignored, Ron walks beside of him staring straight at the ring. They casually walk until they get to the ring.

Emily Lyle - At a total combined weight of four hundred and fifteen pounds, they are the UWL Tag Team Champions, Ron Gregory and Ethan Lucas, The Empire!!

They slide up onto the apron and soaks in the fans mixed reaction before climbing into the ring between the ropes. They stand on the bottom rope on opposite sides in the middle raising their right arms into the air with a clenched fist.

Cliff Morris - We’re set for action. The UWL Tag Team Championship is on the line as new UWL Tag Team Champions The Empire are taking on Fabulous.

Logan Acker - This match was made at Grand Voyage and we’re here for this one to set to begin.

The bell sounds, and starting the match off are Ethan Lucas and Sage Jenkins. They circle one another and lock up into a collar and elbow tie up. Lucas grabs Jenkins, hits her with a forearm arm shot and whips her into the ropes. She hits off the ropes and runs back at Lucas. Jenkins jumps up and nails Lucas with a dropkick. Lucas gets up slowly to his feet. Jenkins jumps up and takes Lucas over with a quick leg lariat. Jenkins covers Lucas, the referee counts.

As Jenkins gets up to her feet, so does Lucas. Jenkins runs at Lucas as she does Lucas steps in and nails Jenkins with a clothesline that knocks her up and down onto the mat. Lucas walks over to tag in Ron Gregory. Ron steps through the ropes. Lucas pulls Jenkins up to her feet. Ron hits her with a punch that knocks Jenkins back into the corner. Ron comes into the corner and kicks Jenkins with repeated kicks to the stomach as she lays back in the corner. Ron pulls her out of the corner and whips Jenkins across the ring to the opposite corner. She hits the corner and falls onto the mat. Ron walks over and pulls her up to her feet. Ron grabs Jenkins and sends her down with a snap suplex. He turns covering her, the referee counts.

Ron gets up to his feet. He pulls Jenkins up to her feet and whips her around the ropes. She hits off the ropes and runs back at Ron. She nails him with a dropkick that knocks him down onto the mat. Jenkins slowly gets up to her feet. She goes over to his corner and tags in Rylee Poverly. Poverly runs into the ring. She runs at Ron, hitting him with a running forearm strike. Poverly grabs him, locking her arms around him, throwing him down hard into the mat with a DDT. Poverly turns, she covers him, the referee counts.

2.. Kick out!

Poverly gets up to her feet. She grabs Ron, leans him over, nailing him with repeated knee lifts to the face, which stuns Ron. Poverly sends him to the ropes. Ron comes off the ropes. He comes back to Poverly. She goes for a clothesline, Ron ducks under. As Poverly turns, Ron nails her with a back elbow, followed by a clothesline that sends her down to the mat. Ron covers her, the referee counts.

Jenkins breaks up the count.

Ron tags in Lucas. He runs in, hitting away at Poverly with clubbing shots. He grabs her around her head, dropping her painfully down with a swinging neckbreaker. As Lucas rises up off the mat, He pulls her up, sending Poverly into the corner. Lucas runs in at her hitting Poverly with a running kick in the corner. He pulls her out, locking Poverly into a full nelson, lifting her up and down with a full nelson slam. He pushes her over, covering Poverly, the referee counts.

Lucas pulls Poverly up off the mat. He grabs her around her arm, but Poverly comes at Lucas, kicking him with a hard kick that stuns him. Poverly spins around, catching Lucas with a roaring elbow, but he falls straight back on the mat. Poverly pulls him up to his feet. Poverly leans Lucas over, and she drops him down to the mat with a swinging neckbreaker. Poverly drags him away from the ropes. She covers him, the referee counts.

Poverly and Lucas are both back on their feet. Poverly grabs Lucas, and he kicks her in the stomach. Lucas grabs her, planting her with a DDT. When Lucas turns, he tags in Ron. He comes into the ring. They grab Poverly up off the mat, holding her arms back. He starts directing Jenkins to come in. She runs in and starts kicking Ron.

Cliff Morris - Ron Gregory is getting the life kicked out of him as this match has gotten out of control!

Ron turns as Poverly rakes his eyes. Ron staggers, she nails him with a superkick which staggers him. She runs at the dazed Ron and connects with a Running Busaiku Knee Kick. She covers him, the referee counts.

Poverly rises up and Jenkins runs at her and they stand jumping around celebrating.

Emily Lyle - The winners of this match and NEW!! UWL Tag Team Champions, Fabulous!!

The referee hands them the UWL Tag Team Championship belts. They stand laughing and jumping around celebrating. They turn as they do out of nowhere Liam Richardson and Miles Watson enter the ring and hit Jenkins and Poverly.

Cliff Morris - Strike 2 Kill are in the ring!!

They nail Jenkins with a double superkick, she crashes to the mat. Poverly turns at them to fight, but they kick her in the stomach. They throw Poverly with a double hip toss followed by a double back handspring into a double dropkick to the face of Poverly. They stand together over them hoisting the UWL Tag Team Championship belts in the air.

Cliff Morris - This is a unnecessary attack and this makes me sick!

The show cuts to a break.

UWL was debuting their new show Eruption tonight, and despite both the UWL Champion and Heritage Champion being on the card, there was nobody more important than the UWL Champion of Television… Billy Danielson. Proudly representing the Televised Product, Billy Danielson stands before the UWL: Eruption Banner with a big smile on his face.

Billy Danielson - Ladies and Gentlemen, as your Harbinger of Horizons and Champion of Television, I am here to welcome you to the first episode of UWL: Eruption!

Billy claps for the debut and tries to get the fans in the arena to cheer.

Billy Danielson - And to make this night super special, The Franchise will have his beautiful Television Championship on the line against one Talia Areano.

Danielson shakes the belt with his shoulder, making it glisten in the light.

Billy Danielson - Now, Talia, I have to say, what you did a week and a half ago at the Live Event in Birmingham… it was balls- er… you know what I mean. It was bold. Walking up, taking my championship into your own hands, and then giving it to me.

Billy scoffs.

Billy Danielson - Most would find it disrespectful, but me? I find it ironic.

He pauses as he looks at the camera with a smirk.

Billy Danielson - You THOUGHT it would be a poetic moment, because you THINK I’m just going to hand my belt right back to you tonight, but there’s a problem with that…

Another quick pause as he looks at his championship.

Billy Danielson - This isn’t the triumphant return to the Championship Wrestling Network that you thought it would be. In your attempt to redeem yourself after losing nearly every match you had for UWL in 2021, you’re going to have to keep that trend going just a LITTLE bit longer, because for the second time in 12 days, you will hand me my UWL Television Championship back to me!!!

You can hear the crowd go “Ooooh” in the background, causing Billy to smile.

Billy Danielson - No, you will not take my championship away from me. You will try and you will fight and you will fail, because I am the second best pound-for-pound wrestler in UWL and I am the true top champion of UWL!

Danielson holds the UWL Television Championship high in the air, signifying the long journey Billy has planned using just this title. He slowly brings it back down once he feels like the message is sent, and places it back on his shoulder.

Billy Danielson - While Caleb Hart rants and raves about the fans and fails to lift the titles he pulls out of retirement, I’ve been busting my ass to make this championship the most must-see championship at any point on the card. Whether it's jerking the curtain, smack dab in the mid-card, or sitting in the main event, it doesn’t matter because so long as I hold this belt, it’s held in a light it hasn’t been seen in a long long time.

Billy looks at his UWL Television Championship and stares at his reflection in the belt for a moment

Billy Danielson - And I hate that I have to play spoiler to you like this…

He looks into the camera one more time.

Billy Danielson - But tonight is another new Horizon for me, and as we know… I’m the champion of those too in UWL!

A smirk comes across his face.

Billy Danielson - Plus, after tonight… it’s just one more successful title defense... And then… I’M COMING AFTER YOU ANTHONY CROSS!!!

You can hear the crowd in the back cheer as the scene fades to black.
