The scene cuts to Casey Holliday who is in the medical room. She gets a bit of a sympathy cheer from the audience and the United States Champion is not happy considering what had happened earlier when she was kicked out of the Uprising. There’s no question that she is seething at this point and she does her best to control her anger as she does the best that she can to be as focused as possible for the title defense against Enforcer to come. A concerned Sydney Holliday walks in, obviously angry herself, though more concerned for Casey than anything.
Sydney Holliday: I can’t say I’m surprised by that. “Robb Daniels wins in the end” and all of that crap...
Casey Holliday: He can’t stand me because I’m the one that won the Coronation Cup and not him. The truth of the matter is… they would’ve done the same thing to Emma.
Sydney Holliday: I guess that means we have to cancel that special Coronation Cup celebration interview, don’t we…
Casey gets a little bit of an angry glare in her eyes.
Sydney Holliday: Sorry, I know that’s not important for you right now. Are you going to be fine? Are you hurt?
Casey Holliday: I’m nicked up a little… but… I’m good to go. Yeah, getting kicked out of the Uprising… that’s pretty humiliating…
Casey pauses and sighs.
Casey Holliday: I can’t have this now. Thank god I’ve been cleared because I would HATE to lose the United States Championship by a damn forfeit. The Uprising didn’t finish the job! I’m still going to go out there and I’m going to beat Enforcer… AGAIN…
These words draw a bit of a concerned express on the face of Casey’s older sister.
Sydney Holliday: ...I REALLY don’t think you should go out there…
Casey Holliday: ...really? You’ve got to be kidding me! As someone with no wrestling experience… what gives YOU the right to even have that opinion?
Sydney Holliday: This isn’t about wrestling, okay? You’re my sister and I’m not going to let a damn thing happen to you! Growing up, Mom and Dad counted on me to protect you whenever I had the opportunity and that’s exactly what I am doing! You’re not going out there! You could get seriously hurt, especially going against Enforcer. Do you honestly think that it’s worth risking your Starrzone title shot? You could get hurt so bad that the shot is given to someone else…
Casey Holliday: I’m 25 years old! I don’t need you to protect me! The United States Championship may not have been my first choice of titles around here, but it IS worth the risk! If I get seriously hurt, so be it! I will find a way to make it to Starrzone and END the status quo even if I have to fight that match in a wheelchair, you got that? I EARNED that Coronation Cup! There’s no chance in hell I’m going to just waste it by giving in to the demands of the Uprising! There’s no chance in hell I am just going to give up the United States Championship just to preserve myself for Starrzone! That’s a bunch of chickenshit, Sydney!
Sydney doesn’t know what to say at this point.
Casey Holliday: It’s like I’ve been saying all along… I AM the uprising! I’ve been fighting against the status quo for the ENTIRE year! I’ve been fighting to break up that world championship monotony with Chris Constantine and Robb Daniels that has been going on for too long! Well… after what happened earlier tonight… the war is on, isn’t it? I’ve spoken out about this very situation for months and that time is here… that time is NOW! I get it… you’re looking out for me! But I’m not about to back down! I’m not going to let them win! This isn’t going to be over until I take that championship from Robb Daniels, complete the Uprising and bring a brand new era for this company! I know the risk… but I don’t care! Are you going to continue to try to convince me otherwise?
Sydney Holliday: No… I think you’ve made up your mind quite clearly.
Casey Holliday: Thanks for recognizing that. I’ll figure out a way to retain my title tonight. That’s what I do! Now… I just need to be left alone…
Sydney Holliday: Sure but… there’s something I’ve been dying to ask you…
Casey Holliday: Yeah?
Sydney Holliday: If you were so against Constantine and Daniels… why did you join Daniels to begin with?
Casey has a bit of a smirk and a chuckle to herself.
Casey Holliday: Give me two weeks and I’ll explain it all…
Casey remains determined as Sydney walks away concerned for her still, but respecting Casey’s wishes to be left alone. Casey maintains her determination, even in the shadow of the adversity that she’s dealing with, as the scene cuts out.
