The show opens scanning across the arena and cuts to the ring.
Emily Lyle - The following contest is set for one fall with a fifteen minute time limit!
Tyler Barrett steps out onto the stage to no music. He stands with his hands on his hips, looks at the crowd, turning his head from side to side looking at the crowd.
Emily Lyle - From Atlanta, Georgia, weighing two hundred and twenty seven pounds, Tyler Barrett!
Tyler Barrett slowly walks down the aisle to the ring.
The lights in the arena cut out. The crowd begins to stir in anticipation as the lights seems to stay out for longer than a usual amount of time, the energy building in the arena. Rhythmic clapping begins blasting out of the speakers…the lights beginning to pulse with them. The clapping finally gets to the beginning of “POWER” by Kanye West. The crowd begins to stir even more, a frenzy building.
Caleb Hart steps out from behind the curtain as the song kicks into gear and the lights explode into a frenzy that matches the rhythm of the music. The fans erupt in cheers as he stands at the top of the ramp, taking it all in. He raises his arms into the air to acknowledge the crowd as he begins to walk down the ramp, slapping the occasional hand. Stepping onto the ring steps, Caleb stops as the top and looks around the arena, taking it all in as the crowd screams and shouts.
Emily Lyle - From Baltimore, Maryland, he weighs two hundred and fifty pounds he is the UWL Champion Caleb Hart!!
He wipes his feet on the apron and steps through the ropes, before walking to the other side of the ring, climbing the turnbuckle and standing there, taking in all of the crowd and the energy in the building. Hopping off, he turns around and gets ready for his opponent. The lights fade back in to the ring lights and he waits.
Cliff Morris - We're ready.......
Hart runs at Barrett nailing him with repeated punches to the face as he’s backed in the corner. The referee calls for the bell. Hart steps back as the referee warns him to get it out of the corner. Hart comes back and slams Barrett’s face into the top turnbuckle. Hart turns him around and clocks him with a straight punch that knocks him down to the mat. The referee checks on Barrett.
Cliff Morris - Caleb Hart is showing no mercy as he’s blistering Tyler Barrett.
Logan Acker - The referee is checking on Tyler Barrett as he looks like he’s on dream street.
Hart grabs him up off the mat. He pulls back landing another punch that staggers Barrett. He falls against the ropes. The referee ask him if he wants to stop the match, but Barrett tells him, “No!”
Cliff Morris - Tyler Barrett getting his clock cleaned and refuses to let the referee stop this match!
Hart pulls him around and against clocks him with another punch landing flush into his face. Barrett’s eye is starting swell from the punishment. Hart jerks him around and slams his face off the turnbuckles. He turns him around and lays in a hard right hand. Barrett lays back in the corner with a dazed look on his face.
Cliff Morris - The referee’s checking on Tyler Barrett and yet again he refuses to let the referee call for the bell to end this match!
Caleb Hart stands over Tyler Barrett in the middle of ring; the young man lays there motionless. The UWL crowd boos loudly at Hart, and the UWL Champion looks around with disdain at the people in attendance.
Cliff Morris: - "The fans here in Chicago utterly disgusted with Caleb Hart."
Logan Acker: - "I think Tyler Barrett made a mistake not taking Hart up on his offer, but this is too much."
Hart rubs his boot across Barrett's face to add some insult to injury. He gets down onto a single knee and tkaes his time applying a Bulldog Choke onto Barrett. Barrett is already out and cannot submit. Caleb holds on for a few seconds and breaks the submission himself. The referee comes over to check on Barret, but Hart screams at him to force a retreat.
Cliff Morris: "Caleb Hart now yelling at the damn official. He won't let this match be called by technical knock-out, a sick man."
Logan Acker: "Someone has to put a stop to this. The ref should call for the bell at this point."
Tyler Barrett remains motionless on the canvas. Hart and the referee argue over him. The UWL Champion is insistent the match ends when he wants it to. Hart can be heard yelling that "the match is over when I say it is." The crowd has stopped booing and jeering now. Instead they watch in disgusted, maybe horrified silence as Hart resumes his attack on Barrett, pummeling the young competitor with a series of stomps. Suddenly fans in the crowd can be seen starting down toward the entry-way and the noise picks up. This doesn't go unnoticed by Hart, who relents his assault to look that way.
Cliff Morris: "Wnat's this?"
Jackson Burnside comes out from the back.
Cliff Morris: "Jackson Burnsdie?! Jackson Burnside is here and- what is he doing?"
Logan Acker: "I have no idea. There was speculation, but here he is Cliff. Burnside is in Chicago."
Jackson doesn't look ready for a fight. He's got his street clothes on and a white object clenched in his right hand. He makes his way down the aisle. The whole way down his gaze remains focused on the ring and on Caleb Hart. Hart can't help but start laughing and welcoming the potential fight, but Jackson isn't in the mood. He keeps shaking his head "no."
Logan Acker: "This is different Cliff. You'd expect Burnside to have run down here all fired up and ready to go."
Cliff Morris: "You're right. What is he holding there?"
Burnside reaches ringside and unfurls the item in his right hand: a small white towel. He doesn't hesitate for a moment and throws the towel over the top rope and into the ring. The referee mercifully calls for the bell, but Caleb Hart looks around. There is a mixture of anger, confusion, and indignation on his face.
Emily Lyle: "Here is your winner, the UWL Champion Caleb Haaaaaarrrttt!"
The crowd boos. Burnside slides into the ring too check on Barrett, his back turned and indifferent to Caleb Hart.
Cliff Morris: - "This is not what I expected tonight Logan. Thank God it's over."
Hart is incensed. He walks up behind Burnside and pulls the big man up to his feet. Burnside wheels around and the two men start yelling at one another immediately. Hart out-yells Burnside. "Who do you think you are?" he shouts, and it gets picked up by the camera microphones. He points down to Barrett and yells something about "his business" and "not yours." Hart steps back from Burnside and points down the aisle. It's hard to make out the exact words, but "go back to where you belong Jax," sums it up.
Burnside jaws back at Hart. It isn't clearly made out what he says, but he's pointing down to Barrett all the while. Hart has had enough and he steps forward, shoving Burnside back. The bigger man doesn't go down however, and he quickly fires back with a big right hand. The crowd erupts as Hart and Burnside begin going blow for blow. They boo whenever Hart delivers a right hand and cheer in turn for Burnside. Back and forth like this a few times before one of Burnside's right hands finally staggers Hart. Burnside follows up with another hard right, which finally knocks Hart to the canvas. The crowd pops, but the feeling doesn't last as Hart rolls under the bottom rope and out of the ring.
He waves off Burnside. Hart tries to keep his cool but it's apparent that he's seething with annoyance at Burnside. An official walks around the ring and hands Hart the UWL Title belt, which he snatches away greedily. Hart holds his the side of his face where Burnside's final right hand connected, and hoists the title belt into the air. "Superbeast" begins to play and Burnside - a clear sign of victory - rolls his sleeves up and begs Hart return to the ring. Hart again waves Burnside off and throws the UWL Championship over his shoulder.
Cliff Morris: - "Burnside, coming out here in front of his hometown to save Tyler Barrett and maybe more importantly for him, get a few licks in on the Champ!"
Logan Acker: - "Jackson Burnside sending a clear message to Caleb Hart. 'I'm not gonna let you bully people, and I'm certainly not running away.' Yet Cliff, no matter how you want to slice it there are two facts that have not changed. Caleb Hart is still the UWL Champion, and Jackson Burnside needs to earn a title shot!"
Cliff Morris: - "Title or not title Logan, these two men are destined for another epic encounter in the future."
