Jackson Burnside stands to the left of Abby Joseph for an interview. The big man is hyped up. He rubs his hands together eagerly and looks fresh out of a shower. His skin still flushed pink and hair blonde hair wet behind him. There's a look of intensity in his eyes tonight that say he's hungry. Jackson's got his gear on, including one of his own t-shirts. A shirt that is torn at the sleeves, ripped all around the neck, and torn and tattered at the bottom. The entire presentation gives him the look of a madman who's been through a warzone.
Abby Joseph:
"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to UWL Eruption. If you are just tuning in, we've got a great show still to come include a star-studded six-man main event tag match! A match that puts our three singles champions, Billy Danielson, Anthony Cross, and the UWL World Champion Caleb Hart in action against Mark Storm, Nick Danger, and this man - Jackson Burnside!"
Jackson Burnside:
"It's a star-studded, gold-enameled main even tonight brother, 'n truth me told I wish I was one of the dudes holding one of those belts dude! Toonight ain't about that, instead it's the road ahead. And like I always say Abby brother, you gotta just keep your head up and you gotta keep doing down that road!"
Abby Joseph:
"Jackson you are coming off of a big victory at our show in London, your first match back since losing the UWL Championship. How does it feel?"
Jackson Burnside:
"First thing, I wanna say it feels good. Good to be back on American soil, brother!" This elicits a cheap pop from the crowd. "Don't any of you brothers in London take that the wrong way! That's a beautiful city, the people and the fans were great, and the dudes in those pubs know how to have a good time brother! But Abby, I am back here in America! Where football is football, where chips are French fries, and I've got the freedom to say whatever the Hell comes to mind! To answer you Abby, how do you think it feels? I feel great! I feel like I can take on anybody who comes my way!" Jackson flexes and exaggerates his movements. "And brother I'm ready to go out there, and kick some ass in front of the great people here in Myrtle Beach!"
The crowd cheers loudly at the mention of their town. Jackson raises both arms into the air and shows off his arm muscles. Abby, for all her best efforts, can't help but smile. It's easy to find Burnside's enthusiastic positivity infectious.
Abby Joseph:
"That's fantastic! You know it is... it is great to see you back. Performing, entertaining the fans. After you lost the UWL Championship and the ill-found rumors floating around, it's just great see you haven't missed a step."
Jackson Burnside:
"You've come to know me pretty well over the last few years Abby. You know that I sincerely live for this, and for them."
He pats his heart to emphasize.
Abby Joseph:
"So let's get back to tonight's main event..."
She deliberately leaves the question open-ended, which allows Jackson to answer how he sees fit.
Jackson Burnside:
"Truth me told, I don't know how to feel. On the one hand, I get to step into the ring with the three dudes who matter most in SKYIFRE Wrestling. The TV Champ, the Heritage Champ, and the World Heavyweight Champ. Everyone knows I've been dying to get my hands on Caleb Hart, and I still owe Billy Danielson a good right hand for knocking me outta the Coronation Cup. Any Anthony Cross? Well that's just a bad dude I got respect for, and he's a guy I want to tangle with. So, my opponents Abby? I'm hungry, ready to give 'em a fight and get a little dirty."
Abby Joseph:
"I sense a 'but'?"
Jackson Burnside:
"But. But it isn't just about old Jackson out there tonight. This ain't the tired and true case of Jackson versus the World! I got two other dudes out there dude, two other guys who's backs I need to watch and who need to watch mine. Two dudes, who I don't know very well. You never know how things are gonna goo with that. These six-man tag matches are wild brother, and more usually break down anarchy pretty quick. So when push comes to shove, are Storm and Danger gonna rise to the occasion? They gonna have my back? 'Cause I'll tell ya brother I got there's."
Jackson thinks about his own question.
Jackson Burnside:
"I see two hungry guys. Guys lookin' to stamp a legacy in UWL. I think tonight, the three of us are gonna surprise everyone. Topple the champs? It's a possibly brother! All I can do though, is worry about myself. Go out there and do what I do and kick some ass. So whether I'm the legal man in the ring or scrapping on the outside... Danielson, Cross, and Hart better know what they're in for. The Superbeast has come all the way from London to South Carolina to cause all sorts of mayhem. Whether it's a big powerslam to Cross, this big 'ol leg Jackson slaps his thigh "takin' the breath away from Danielsn, or Jackson takes a deep breath and closes his eyes. "- Lord please - " He opens them back up. "throwin' Hart up onto the Rack and making him tap out; everyone involved needs to be ready, 'Cause a storm is coming and it ain't taking no prisoners, brother. Tonight the champs are gonna get it."
Jackson rubs his hands together and moves to walk away. He stops however, and turns back around. Abby fires him and inquisitive look and holds the microphone back up.
Abby Joseph:
"Forget something?"
Jackson looks directly into the camera.
Jackson Burnside:
"Caleb, brother. I'll show you, what an alpha does."
That is how Jackson ends the interview. He heard Hart in London, but doesn't buy into what he said. Even though Caleb was right, there can only be one alpha, Jackson is going to show Hart that he's wrong about who that is.
