Camera cuts backstage after the opening contest on this week's Eruption...
Abby Joseph: I'm here backstage with Daron Smythe, who debuted in a hard fought contest coming up just a bit short...
Daron is unrolling the tape from around his right hand, balls it up, and throws it into a corner, looking incredibly frustrated and irritated
Abby Joseph: Daron...any thoughts after the match?
Daron Smythe: Abby, I've heard a million clichés over time, fall down seven, get up eight, you either win or you learn, never quit. But, in this moment, I'm pissed off. It took a lot just to get me back to that ring tonight and I can't help but feel like it was all for nothing.
Abby Joseph: I'd say it's hardly all for nothing, Daron. I think out of anyone who has crossed paths with Robb Daniels, you've given him the toughest fight yet.
Daron Smythe: Abby, I appreciate what you're trying to do but there's one winner and one loser. And, it doesn't matter if you squeak by or your dominate, a win is a win and a loss is a loss. I think what gets me most is I feel like a stepping stone for this guy. I can't lie to you, Robb Daniels is destined for greatness. I wouldn't be surprised if he was the next UWL World Champion. But, there is an old saying that goes something like this - be careful who you step on when you're climbing the ladder, because you're going to run back into them on the way back down. Robb, this may be my first match here in UWL, but I promise you, from this day forward, I will keep getting better. I hope one day we meet again, maybe when you're holding that prestigious UWL World Championship...
Abby Joseph: Daron, I've just received word that you are booked at the next Eruption in two weeks to face newcomer, Ace Sky...
Daron Smythe: Ace Sky, huh? I'm sure he's one of so many other new faces around here. I'm hurt, I will go back home, lick my wounds, and get ready - Ace Sky, I hope you do the same...
