The UWL TV show comes back from commercial to show UWL interviewer Kip Anderson standing in the center of the ring as the crowd quiets down as Anderson brings the mic to his mouth and begins to speak.
Anderson: Ladies and gentleman, at this time I’d like to introduce to you, the newest member of the UWL roster, he is the young, and often brash, “Nature Boy” Joel Robinson.!
Also Sprach Zarathustra begins to play over the house speakers as Robinson makes his way to the ring to a mixed reaction, the crowd not yet knowing what to make of this young man, he is dressed in a custom made suit, brand new dress shoes and a pair of mirrored sun glasses. He approaches the ring and steps onto the ring apron telling Anderson to come and hold the ropes open for him as he enters the ring. Anderson begrudgingly obliges and Robinson enters doing a slow turn so the crowd can get a look at him.
Anderson: Joel, thank you for joining us here tonight.
Joel: Yes, yes, Kip, the pleasure, just like for all these people, is all yours.
The crowd grows a little restless with that comment and Kip himself seems a little annoyed, but ever the professional he shrugs it off and continues.
Anderson: Now Joel, for a man who’s only been wrestling for a number of months you seem to have an almost unmatched confidence in your abilities. What makes you so sure that you are that much above all the other competitors here in the UWL?
Joel: Simply put Kip, I have talent on loan from God.
Anderson: Talent on loan from God?
Joel: Yes, you see, even when I was young I knew deep in my heart of hearts that unlike all these nickel and dimmers here tonight, that I was destined for greatness.
The audience already turned off to Joel begins booing loudly as Joel can’t help but smile happily and chuckle to himself.
Joel: Hey, don’t blame me for your lot in life. It’s not my fault that you people can’t be custom tailored from head to toe like me, not all of us can enjoy the finer things in life. But see, there is a bright side, because now that I’m here in the UWL you people can see me week in and week out and, even if it’s for a short amount of time, you people can live through and pretend to know what it’s like to be a somebody.
The crowd now breaks into a chant of “You suck” as Joel just coyly lets it roll off his back and turns his attention back to Anderson.
Anderson: All that aside, do you have any idea when your first match will take place or who your opponent will be?
Joel: It’s funny that you mention that Kip, you see besides raising the spirits of these miserable people, I’ve come out here tonight to accept an open challenge.
Feeling he may have a big scoop on his hands, Anderson’s attention perks up and he presses forth asking the hard hitting questions, like this gem:
Anderson: An open challenge?
Joel: Yes, I was sitting at home getting more familiar with the UWL and who should appear on my screen but none other than Lance Fiennes…
The crowd erupts at the mention of Fiennes which Joel doesn’t let slide as a grimace of utter disgust finds it’s way across Joel’s face as he shakes his head.
Joel: Yeah you morons go ahead and cheer for your false idol. Lance Fiennes, you asked the people if there was anyone in this company that could match up with you and these idiots, in their infinite wisdom gave a resounding “NO”. And the truth is they weren’t lying. Because at that time, there wasn’t anyone here in UWL talented enough to face you. But see that was then, and this, this is now. Because like I said there is a new era dawning in the UWL and that is the era of the Nature Boy. And Lance Fiennes, you ego maniacal prick, I’ve decided that you will be the first notch in my belt because I’ve decided to accept your challenge to a match and I’m going to show each and everyone of these rubes who chant your name oh so proudly that you are nothing but a farce and that I truly am a legend in the making. So Fiennes, get ready for your brush with true greatness, WOOOOOOO!
With that Joel’s music picks up and Joel struts around the ring Wooing at the fans as they boo.
Anderson: There you have it fans. It looks like somewhere down the line we will see Lance Fiennes go against Joel Robinson, we’ll be back right after this.
