BACKSTAGE… Standing in front of the long black backdrop and UWL logo is Abby Joseph with an exclusive.
Abby Joseph - Please Welcome the ‘Headliner’ Robb Daniels!
The frame pulls back slightly to reveal Daniels stand beside the beautiful backstage correspondent.
Robb Daniels - Abby for the last couple months it’s been one person, after the other. Different opponents with same result. When the bell sounds there laying flat on their back while the official raises my arm in victory. The differences between tonight and two weeks ago is the city and the unlucky man chosen to face off against yours truly.
Abby Joseph - Unlucky man? You do realize tonight you’re facing off against Mark Storm?
Robb Daniels - Of course I do Abbs. As a matter of fact Storm is on my payroll as well don’t you forget that I can evaluate talent as good if not better than anyone. I know exactly why he’s called “Your Hero, And Mine” but every hero enjoys the ride before that fall from grace. Mark Storm is a quality hand but he’s no “Headliner”. And tonight I am going to show you and everybody else here in Asheville why, when I expose Mark Storm the False Prophet!
Daniels exits the scene leaving Abby with a puzzled look on her face.

The picture cuts across the arena and cuts to the ring.
Emily Lyle - The following contest is set for one fall with a fifteen minute time limit!
Short Change Hero by The Heavy begins to play through the speakers and the lights in the arena simultaneously dim down. Smoke begins to rise from the top of the stage and appearing on the screen above are the following words;
A massive pop ensues as emerging from the back is Your Hero and Mine, Mark Storm; who keeps himself composed as he stands at the top of the entrance ramp. He can't help but allow his sadistic signature smirk to appear upon his lips as he closes his eyes and spreads his arms out wide, soaking in the energy that the audience are giving him as they applaud and cheer.
Emily Lyle - From New York, Brooklyn.. weighing in a two hundred and twenty five pounds - Your Hero, and Mine.. MARRKKKK STORMMMMMM
He begins his walk down the entrance ramp, swaggering his way down.
This ain't no place for no hero.
This ain't no place for no better man.
This ain't no place for no hero
To call "home."
At this point, Storm is by the edge of the ring; allowing a smile to embed on his face before he jumps onto the apron and holds onto the ropes, using them to help himself up onto the turnbuckle. He's grinning from ear to ear, soaking in the rest of the cheers coming from the audience, shaking his head sideways as he lowers it, before jumping into the ring. He heads over to his designated corner and hoisting himself up onto the second ropes, a smirk upon his lips as he holds his arms up; his theme song slowly diminishing.
AS I WALK THROUGH THE VALLEY OF THE SHADOW OF DEATH
"Gangster's Paradise" by Coolio begins to play throughout the arena. The lights abruptly turn off all at once as the music continues to play. Seemingly hundreds of camera flashes begin lighting up the darkened arena then suddenly the curtain is thrown back and Robb Daniels and his wife Lauren emerge from behind the curtain...Robb wears a very serious look upon his face, walking down the center of the runway with his wife in tow.
Emily Lyle - From Seattle, Washington, weighing two hundred and thirty five pounds, Robb Daniels!!
He stops on the apron, holding the ropes open for his wife then wiping his boots before stepping through himself. He circles the ring, removing his robe and sunglasses and handing them off to a stage hand. He climbs up on the turnbuckles and looks around at the crowd, enjoying the negative reaction as he talks trash right back to them. He tells the camera that he's the man before dropping down and fixing his wrist tape as the music ends.
Cliff Morris - We’re ready for this contest. As Mark Storm takes on Robb Daniels in our next match up.
Logan Acker - These two are very familiar with one another this should be a interesting contest.
The referee calls for the bell. They move from their corners slowly circling one another. They move into a collar and elbow tie up. Storm backs Daniels back against the ropes. The referee steps in calling for a break. Storm steps back making the break as Daniels is trash talking him as he steps back. They tease a knuckle lock. But move back into a collar and elbow tie up. Daniels walks Storm back against the ropes. The referee calls for a break. Daniels leans up against Storm’s chest. The referee calls for a break. Daniels steps back slowly taking a step or two and slaps Storm across the face and points his finger at him. Storm comes at Daniels as he moves back leaning in between the ropes as the referee moves in.
Cliff Morris - Robb Daniels trying to get in the head of Mark Storm with the slap across the face and the trash talking.
Logan Acker - Robb Daniels may be opening himself up for something he might not want to head with if he keeps that up.
They circle one another around the center of the ring. They move into a collar and elbow tie up. Daniels takes Storm back his head into a headlock. He stands with the headlock applied and his hands gripped. Storm sends Daniels off. He runs hitting off the ropes. Storm drops down as Daniels runs over him returning into the ropes. He runs back at Storm as he grabs Daniels setting him up for a hip toss. But Daniels blocks it. He attempts a hip toss but Storm blocks it. He turns and takes Daniels up and over with a hip toss. Daniels comes back up to his feet as Storm lands a big boot sending Daniels down to the mat.
Cliff Morris - Mark Storm levels Robb Daniels with a big boot that knocks him into next week!
Daniels rolls toward the ropes out to the ring apron. He looks shaken up as he walks around the ring as he’s on the floor. Storm steps out to the ring apron. Daniels turns as Storm leaps off the ring apron with a missile dropkick to Daniels on the floor. Both men are down. Storm is grimacing from the impact of landing on the floor and Daniels is down from the impact of the missile dropkick.
Cliff Morris - Both men are down!
Logan Acker - Mark Storm took a lot of punishment from that move landing flush with the floor!
Cliff Morris - That may be one of those the risk is worth the reward.
Storm slowly gets up shaking off the impact. He pulls Daniels up to his feet. He shoves him back into the ring. Storm pulls himself up onto the ring apron. Daniels gets up off the mat. Storm pulls himself up onto the top rope, leaps off for a springboard move but Daniels moves out of the way as Storm crashes into the mat.
Daniels gathers himself as he moves toward him. He slaps Storm across his head. He pulls him up to his feet and lands a forearm strike followed by a knife edge chop. Daniels grabs Storm into a headlock and starts pounding him on the top of his head with repeated punches. Storm stumbles as Daniels lets him loose. He pulls him around and chokes Storm across the top rope. The referee warns Daniels but he keeps choking him across the top rope. The referee begins his count.

Cliff Morris - Robb Daniels is focused on the head and neck of Mark Storm.
Logan Acker - Robb Daniels likes to use that stunner he calls Picture Perfect. What a better way to weaken someone up for it than to work over their head and neck.
Daniels pulls back on his head and neck as the referee checks on him and shakes his head no. Storm kicks his legs back and forth trying to get the momentum going. Daniels rises up and drops a elbow down onto his neck again. He rises back up and goes to drop another elbow but Storm rolls out of the way and Daniels crashes into the mat.

Danielson isn’t his usual self right now. He stands in front of the UWL banner with a disheartened look on his face. The effects of Power Surge still sinking in as he stands before us.
Billy Danielson - “For the first time in UWL history, I do not hold the Television Championship.”
He looks down at his empty hands, almost feeling like he had taken his title for granted. After 6 months with the belt in his hands, he had felt like it would never leave him, and that he would bring the UWL Television Championship up to a world title level with him as he climbed the ranks.
Billy Danielson - “I feel naked. I feel empty. I feel lost. However, you don’t get to be called The Greatest of All Time and The Franchise without knowing that there is a silver lining on every dark cloud.”
Billy balls his fists for a moment. He chokes back his frustration, as he tries to stay optimistic going into tonight’s main event, but knowing how his title match two weeks ago had gone down, it still stung.
Billy Danielson - “Robb Daniels, I don’t know what your angle was costing me my championship. After years of keeping your name and your company relevant for you, you’d think there would be a little bit more respect between us, but apparently not. I used to look at you as a mentor and a friend, even in our worst times, but after taking a step back from my ego, I’ve come to realize that you’ve only ever used me as a crutch to keep yourself up in the limelight, and two weeks ago is no different. I will get my pound of flesh from you soon enough, but I’ve got things bigger than you on my horizon.”
He pauses for a moment, as he tries to transition through topics.
Billy Danielson - “Tonight, I walk into the Legacy Challenge Eliminator.”
Billy waves his hands as if a big graphic or something would appear before him. He was excited for this opportunity after all, despite that residual heartbroken feeling still sinking in.
Billy Danielson - “Four of UWL’s top wrestlers fighting to be the last one standing, so they can get a shot at the man who has held the Universal Wrestling League as a whole in a stranglehold off and on for the last decade. It’s hard enough beating three other opponents, but having to eliminate them, and know that when you’re done, you face The Final Boss of UWL at his peak, it’s not for the faint of heart… but I’m not the faint of heart, am I?”
Danielson points to his heart as if showing that over the last year his heart had grown three sizes or something.
Billy Danielson - “I’m the man who makes godlike world champions bleed. I’m the man who outworks EVERYONE in this company day in and day out, belt or no belt. I’m the man that should be ranked as the #1 wrestler in this company without even thinking about it. My history in this company? Hall of Fame worthy. My reign as Television champion? Record-setting. My skill inside and outside of the ring? Impeccable.”
That fire is starting to flare up in Billy. He may be coming off of a loss, but there was nobody that could tell him he wasn’t the top star in UWL right now. His 2022 can only be rivaled by Caleb Hart and Anthony Cross, but he would dare to say that he has outshined them at every turn throughout the year.
Billy Danielson - “If anyone can be the man to beat the man, it’s me. If anyone can take #CalebWinsLol, and stop it dead in its tracks, it’s me. I am the Greatest of All Time. I am The Franchise. I stated at the beginning of 2022 that I would become the world champion of this company, and now my opportunity stands before me, and I will not let it slip away this time I guarantee that.”
Danielson scoffs for a second as he slowly himself down.
Billy Danielson - “But we’ve heard that from all sides tonight, haven't we?”
He shrugs for a moment.
Billy Danielson - “Televised or not. Spoken out loud or not. We all know that Anthony Cross, Nick Danger, and Daron Smythe are thinking and saying the same things. So let’s get into them, shall we?”
Billy holds up his middle, ring, and pinky fingers to represent his three opponents for the night as he starts to dig into them.
Billy Danielson - “Daron Smythe. The #1. The man that wrestling forgot, but has quickly remembered. We’ve seen him come back after nearly a decade, a hiatus double that of Caleb Hart, and he has already found himself in a contender’s match for the World Championship. Racking up wins against Ace Sky and Tyler Barrett. Retrospectively I wish you would have beaten Robb Daniels, but that’s neither here nor there.”
He jokingly shrugs, obviously still harboring resentment towards Robb Daniels.
Billy Danielson - “Daron, I don’t know much about you, I won’t lie. It’s hard to find relevant tape on people who haven’t wrestled since I was in high school, but everything I’ve seen from you in the last 6 weeks shows me that you have a lot to offer this match. However, if you can’t beat guys like Robb Daniels, a man I beat when I was a rookie, I’m not sure if you’re ready to face me in my prime.”
Billy brings his three fingers back up, but this time puts his pinky down as if to cross off Daron and move on to his next opponent.
Billy Danielson - “Speaking of beating me in my prime, congratulations, Nick Danger on your victory two weeks ago. I can bitch and moan about you holding a title I was never pinned for. I could bitch and moan about Robb Daniels’ interfering in our match. I could bitch and moan… but I won’t.”
Danielson’s demeanor gets a bit more serious now. Power Surge may be a sore spot for the former-television champion, but he wasn’t going to let it take away from Nick’s moment.
Billy Danielson - “Truth be told, I’ve been in every single position that played out in that match. I’ve been the capitalizer, I’ve been the person getting pinned, I’ve been the interference, and obviously, I’ve been the one to get screwed. If I was in your position, I would have done the same thing. I know you wanted to beat me fair. I know you wanted to be the one pin the man who has carried the UWL Television Championship to heights it’s never seen before. I know you wanted better. Hell, I did too. That’s just not how it played out, and that’s just how it is sometimes.”
He takes a second to collect himself. Luckily, the promise of tonight outweighs the disappointment of two weeks ago. He gets fired up again as he points at the camera.
Billy Danielson - “However, that brings into question your abilities, Nick. It wasn’t that long ago that you got thrust into a ‘Champions vs All-Stars’ match and I pinned you clean in the center of the ring while everyone else brawled throughout the arena. It wasn’t that long ago that you brawled to a time-limit draw with Talia Areano, a woman that I have beaten in the past. It wasn’t that long ago when you winning the title seemed like a pipe-dream so long as I held it. Yes you won, and yes it was fair, but at the end of the day Nick, if I wanted the Television title back, I could take it and I could prove that I never would have lost it.”
He was on fire now. Was it rage? Was it desire? Was it passion? Not even Billy knew, but he could feel that energy and that heat coming off of himself as he moves on to the last opponent.
Billy Danielson - “And that brings us to the final member of this match. The man who has ducked me at every turn. Anthony Cross.”
Danielson puts his three fingers up again, and this time he puts down the pinky and ring fingers, thus flipping the camera and Enforcer off.
Billy Danielson - “It’s amazing how a man who thinks so highly of himself would gatekeep a title from me and block my well-deserved shot. Anthony Cross, you hold the Heritage Championship and the #1 ranking in UWL, but we both know that both of those should be mine.”
Billy violently points to himself now, having nothing but disrespect and disdain for Anthony Cross and his attempts to hinder Billy’s career over the past year.
Billy Danielson - “You duck me and dodge me at every turn. You hide from me and take other challengers. You talk a lot of shit, but this has been a game of ‘Enforcer fears Billy’ since the moment I reached my Option C.”
He pauses for a moment, trying to contain himself.
Billy Danielson - “I was respectful of Daron Smythe. I was respectful of Nick Danger. I will not grant you the same liberty, Anthony.”
Danielson is unable to keep his anger towards his rival bottled, despite trying to hold it back. He quickly bursts out angrily at the camera.
Billy Danielson - “I’m going to embarrass you in this match tonight. I’m going to prove that you’re neither the top champ, world championship worthy, nor the top wrestler in the company. I don’t care what the website and company say. I’m going bring the very facade that is Enforcer down around you, and you can sit there and watch as I eliminate you, exactly the way I would have if you would have given me the shot I had earned.”
He’s seething as he continues.
Billy Danielson - “Anthony Cross, tonight you don’t get to hide anymore. Tonight, I’m going to wrestle circles around you. I’m going to prove that I should be Heritage Champion right now, and then I’m going to go head-to-head with Caleb Hart and win the title you think you deserve because I know without a shadow of a doubt that I’m better than you.”
Danielson has to contain himself now. It was very cathartic for him to blow up like that, but he knows that if he acts like this during his match, he could risk losing a title shot and he didn’t want that. Billy holds himself together, trying to close his promo off by gritting his teeth and continuing.
Billy Danielson - “I have the opportunity of a lifetime ahead of me. Despite all these terrible and horrible and depressing things happening in my UWL run right now, I can walk away with everything I set out to do this year right in my hands. I’ve said from the very beginning that I was the best wrestler in this company, regardless of title or rank, and I’m going to prove it tonight… and then…”
Danielson smirks
Billy Danielson - “I’m coming for you, Caleb.”
