A lot is happening at UWC. We have a lot to cover in this edition of the UWC Newsletter. So let’s get right to it.
UWC is coming off two successful live events on April 17th and 18th. In two of our home bases, Johnson City, TN, and Kingsport, TN. On the 17th, we found out who'll be facing off against UWC World Champion Anthony Cross at Grand Voyage on May 27th on Pay-Per-View. It will be none other than Television Champion Daron Smythe. Can the wrestler who's probably on the hottest streak of anyone in all of UWC, Daron Smythe, take down the man who is without a shadow of a doubt the most dominant world champion in all of professional wrestling, Anthony Cross. These two will collide in the main event of Grand Voyage on May 27th.
Then on April 18th, we saw the new Six-Man Tag Team Champions crowned in the trio of Dangerous Desires: Rylee Poverly, Sage Jenkins, and Harper Levine. Rylee Poverly has been dealing with Drake Beckett, who attacked Poverly after their match on Eruption on 4/15. We are sure that Drake Beckett and the rest of Supreme Force are watching this closely.
Everyone is talking about Billy Danielson and his current losing streak. Billy Danielson has hit hard times as of late. Billy Danielson looked to be on his way to ending his recent skid, but David Carroll picked up a win on the 4/15 edition of Eruption after he rolled Danielson up and used the ropes for leverage. Billy refused to talk to reporters in the back after his match. Can Billy Danielson bounce back from his losing streak, and will we see a rematch between David Carroll and Billy Danielson in the near future?
We will see two teams face off on the 4/29 edition of Eruption. As Strike 2 Kill returns to UWC, they take on the debuting Steak & Gravy. UWC officials have said the winning team of this match will move on to Grand Voyage to face the Rising Aces for the UWC Tag Team Championship. Strike 2 Kill never received a rematch after losing the UWC Tag Team Championship, and Steak & Gravy have been so impressive in their workouts that UWC officials made this call on this match.
Mark Storm makes his return to UWC, where he'll face off against the debuting Silas Isaac Naberius. We're learning that these two had to cross paths, so to speak, at the 4/18 live event in Kingsport, TN. These two crossed paths in the back hallway and had a stare down, which didn't escalate into anything, but is something we should keep an eye on as they head into their match on 4/29.
