UWL Eruption 4-29-23

The picture cuts across the arena and cuts to the ring.



Emily Lyle - The following contest is set for one fall with a twenty minute time limit or television time remaining!

The lights dim in the arena and stay down for about 10 seconds. "Ministry of Lost Souls" by Dream Theater hits the p.a. system in sync with the house lights coming back up, almost too bright at first before dimming down to their normal level. David Carroll is already standing at the entrance ramp, his arms spread to the side with palms and head tilted up. His eyes are closed as he slowly lowers his head. They open slowly as a smile that can only be described as serene spreads across his lips.

Emily Lyle - From Ridge Manor, Florida, weighing two hundred and twenty seven pounds, David Carroll!!

As he starts down towards the ring, his arms slowly drop and his hands come clasped together in front of them, hanging by his waist. He casually looks to both sides of the crowd, not being affected by their reaction. When he gets to ringside, he will pick up a random fan that's booing him and tell them "I'll pray for you my brother/sister". He walks up the ring steps and gets into the ring. Once there, he stops right in the middle, his arms go to the sides with palms up once more. He nods a few times as if to tell the crowd he accepts their decision to boo him. The smile never leaves his face.

The lights dim in the arena and the words "I AM #1" flash on the video screen...

BUT THE MEMORY REMAINS

The house lights come back up and standing in the center of the stage, holding a single finger high in the air, is #1 Daron Smythe.

Emily Lyle - From Wheeling, West Virginia, weighing two hundred and fifty six pounds, he is the UWL Television Champion Daron Smythe!!

Smythe looks out at the crowd, some holding up their own version of the single finger salute, as he saunters down the aisle towards the ring, confidently keeping that finger in the air as he steps through the rope and climbs to the second rope in one corner of the ring.

The lights in the arena go out and there's the sound of thunder cracking. "Weather Man" starts to play and a few seconds in lights come up focused on the aisle way. Jackson Burnside stands in the entryway behind a black umbrella with "The Weatherman" written across it in reflective silver lettering. As the lyrics to the song kick in he spins the umbrella, and eventually spins it around himself in a twirl. Jackson faces the crowd, throws the umbrella over his shoulder one right hand and he makes a "finger gun" motion out to the crowd with his left.

Emily Lyle: "Blowing in from the Windy City; standing six-five and weighing in tonight at three-hundred and sixteen pounds. He is the UWL Heritage Champion 'The Weatherman', Jackson Buuuuurnsiiiiiide!"

As Emily announces him, Jackson walks on down to the ring with a pep in his step in very performative manner. He sings along with the lyrics to "Weather Man", he bumps fists with people in the crowd, points around with his free hand or the umbrella. Jackson reaches the ring and rolls under the bottom rope. He gets up one knee at a time and walks in a small circle. The song begins to to build up the chorus and Jackson climbs up to the nearest turnbuckle. He puts his head down and holds the umbrella with both hands.



Jackson throws his head back in sync with the song. His right arm raises the closed umbrella high into the air. He holds up on the top rope for awhile, and finally after jumping down he removes the long black leather coat and sunglasses. He hands them along with the umbrella to somebody at ringside. He takes a moment to bounce off the ropes and he runs them a few times. Finally he stops in the middle of the ring and continues to hype himself up while waiting.

Natural Born Killaz By Ice Cube and Dr. Dre starts playing throughout the arena. Smoke comes from the entrance way. As the smoke is clearing The Enforcer walks through the smoke and looks out at the crowd. Enforcer than walks down to the ring. He walks up the stairs on to the ring apron, looks out at the crowd and lifts his arms out to the side.

Emily Lyle - From Brooklyn, New York, weighing two hundred and seventy five pounds, he is the Universal Wrestling League World Champion Anthony Cross!!

Enforcer steps through the top and middle ropes. Enforcer walks over to the the opposite ring ropes and lifts his arms out to his side.

Cliff Morris - This is our main event. What a main event as we have World Champion Anthony Cross and Heritage Champion The Weatherman Jackson Burnside taking on the team of Television Champion, and number one contender for the World Championship and one of the fastest rising stars in UWL, David Caroll.

Logan Acker - David Carroll has made his name in a hurry in a short time in UWL. Tonight is another chance for another stepping stone.

The referee calls for the bell. Starting the match off is The Weatherman and David Carroll. Carroll runs at Burnside quickly nailing him with a double kick that stuns him. He runs at Burnside again, but Burnside catches Carroll up into his arms and throws him back with a fall away slam. Carroll lays on the mat, as Burnside runs at him kicking him with a hard kick to the back of his head. Burnside pulls Carroll up to his feet, he sends him into the ropes, Carroll bounces off the ropes, Burnside goes for a clothesline, but Carroll ducks under the clothesline attempt. Carroll catches Burnside in the back of his leg with a hard kick, followed by another kick, which sends Burnside down to one knee. Carroll bounces off the ropes running back at Burnside nailing him with a back elbow followed by a standing dropkick that sends him down to the mat. Carroll turns on the mat clamping his hands together looking down.

Cliff Morris - David Carroll takes Jackson Burnside down to the mat with a standing dropkick!

Logan Acker - David Caroll is quick as you can find you can’t blink or you’ll get met with one of his moves or strikes.

Daron Smythe runs into the ring, as Carroll makes the tag. Smythe starts throwing hard punches landing into the face of Burnside. Smythe grabs him around his arm to send him into the ropes, but Burnside blocks it, pulling Smythe around, lifting him up and sending him down with a running powerslam. He turns, throwing his arms wildly as he beats on his chest as he moves across the ring. Burnside rises to his feet, he tags in Anthony Cross.

Cliff Morris - The Weatherman makes the tag to the World Champion!

Logan Acker - Anthony Cross has been one of the most dominant World Champions in all of professional wrestling.

Cross steps through the ropes, he runs at Smythe nailing him with a wild European uppercut, which staggers Smythe. Cross pulls Smythe toward him grabbing him into a front facelock, he lifts him up throwing Smythe back onto the mat with a snap suplex. Cross grabs Smythe sending him into the ropes, Smythe bounces off the ropes running back at Cross, as he goes for a back elbow, but Smythe ducks under the back elbow attempt. Smythe grabs Cross before he can turn around into a full nelson. Smythe throws Cross down with a swinging neckbraeker. Cross staggers to his feet back into the ropes, Smythe runs at him and takes Cross down with a running knee strike that sends him down to the mat.

Cross staggers to his feet, as he does Carroll runs at him taking him down onto the mat. Carroll throws wild punches on Cross. Burnside pulls Carroll off of Cross, as he does Smythe runs across the ring taking Burnside down with a diving shoulder tackle that sends him down to the mat. Smythe rises up and looks around the ring with an intense look on his face.

Cliff Morris - Daron Smythe standing tall as he looks intense and impressive as he’s weeks away from his challenge for the richest prize in our sport, the UWL World Championship!

Smythe turns, Cross rises up to his feet. Smythe runs at Cross and gets met with a big boot that staggers Smythe. Cross grabs him up, runs across the ring planting him down with a running powerslam. Cross rises up to his feet. He runs off the ropes, leaps into the air for a big splash, but Smythe rolls out of the way. Cross slams into the mat grimacing in pain.

Cliff Morris - Daron Smythe rolled out of the way just in time!

Logan Acker - Anthony Cross had tremendous lift on that splash. Daron Smythe was lucky to move out of the way.

Smythe runs at Cross hitting him with an elbow to his back. He pushes him over and covers him, the referee counts.

.. Kick out!

Smythe gives the tag to Carroll. He rises up to the top rope. He leaps off as Cross rises up. He catches him. Cross walks around the ring holding Carroll in his arms. He tags in Burnside. Cross plants him down with a running powerslam. Burnside comes in and drops down onto Carroll with an Atomic Leg Drop. He turns covering him, the referee counts.

Smythe breaks up the count.

Cross takes Smythe over the top rope out to the ring apron with a lariat. Cross steps out onto the ring apron he pulls the lifeless Smythe up to his feet leaning him over. Cross looks around as the crowd rises to their feet. The referee stands trying to get them back into the ring. Carroll grabs a chair as Burnside goes to grab him, Carroll slams the chair off Burnside's face he falls straight back onto the mat. Carroll slides the chair out to the floor. On the ring apron, Cross throws Smythe down to the floor off the ring apron with a powerbomb.

Cliff Morris - Oh give me a break!!

Logan Acker - Cross just powerbombed Smythe off the ring apron did so much going on at one time!!

Carroll covers him, the referee counts.

Carroll turns and puts his hands together and raises his eyes up.

Emily Lyle - The winners of this match Daron Smythe and David Carroll!

Cliff Morris - Like it or not David Carroll has just pinned the Heritage Champion that should move him right to the front of the line as far as the Heritage Championship!!

Carroll sits on his knees in the middle of the ring with his hands still together with his eyes closed as the show comes to a end.
