UWL - Championship Challenge - 7/8/14

(As the announcers are starting up the show, they are cut off by the music of Parker Van Peters. Princes of the Universe plays over the public address and at the top of the ramp we can see Parker Van Peters and Timothy Nilus Netheridge. Both are sporting custom made shirts.)

PVP: Before we get the the boring crap, let me say a little something something.

TNN: Seriously, its a good thing we came on as early as we did. No one is going to watch this stuff. At least not until now.

(amidst the boos, PVP holds his hand to his ear)

PVP: Hear that Tim…hear the sound?

TNN: I think I do Parker

PVP: Thats the sound of Ratings going through the roof because of none other that Parker Van Peters and Timothy Nilus Netheridge. I am sure you have heard of us. We are the only two things worth watching on this God forsaken wrestling show.

TNN: Luckily for these people….they get the amazing opportunity to see us in action.

TNN: You’re Welcome…

PVP: Ungrateful rednecks. You think they would have a little more respect for a future ROA Championship. I mean, besides NSACAR and welfare check, outside of me and Timothy here, you guys really have nothing to live for.

TNN: This is why we joined the Edge Talent Agency, Parker. Not only do we get paid, we get put in the best positions to succeed, like you will…later tonight….winning the ROA Championshipship.

(The crowd erupts in boos)

ROA Championship Tournament Match
Jeremy Sterling vs. The Plebian


Emily Lyle - This match is ROA Championship tournament match up!

The opening sounds of Lights and Sounds begins to play and as the music ramps up, Jeremy Sterling bursts through the curtains at the eleven second mark. Receiving a mixed reaction from the fans, Jeremy Sterling jogs down to the ring, slapping the hands of the fans reaching out.

Emily Lyle - Introducing first, from Sterling, Virginia, weighing two hundred and ten pounds!! Jeremy Sterling!!!

Sliding into the ring, Sterling hops up to his feet and looks around before heading to his corner of the ring and doing some light stretching, ready for his match to begin.

Cliff Morris - Jeremy Sterling looks ready for action!

Logan Acker - Indeed he does, we will find out how ready in moments.

The Plebeian slowly emerges. With a determined look on his face, along with a few dirt marks, he walks towards the ring with purpose. Before entering the ring, he looks up into the air and closes his eyes.

Emily Lyle - His opponent, from Rome, weighing two hundred and thirty pounds!! The Plebian!!

His lips move as if he's praying to something, and before long he enters the squared circle. He prepares himself by stretching before the match.

Cliff Morris - We are almost set for action, as one of these two will move on later tonight for the chance to become the first ROA Champion.

The bell sounds, as both men circle one another, slowly moving into a collar and elbow tie up. Plebian shoots around Sterling taking him into a rear waistlock. He locks his arms tight around Sterling, lifting him up, and down onto the mat. Plebian shoots around into a front facelock on Sterling, he grabs him around his head, as Sterling tries to break free. Plebian turns taking Sterling into a side headlock. Sterling forces him up to his feet, he sends Plebian off into the ropes. Plebian bounces off the ropes, he runs back at Sterling, he leapfrogs over him, as Plebian runs across the ring bouncing off the ropes. Plebian runs back at Sterling, he drops down, as Plebian runs over him bouncing back off the ropes. Sterling jumps into the air nailing him with a leg lariat.

Cliff Morris - The action is fast and furious!

Logan Acker - Someone clock those two guys speed, they are breaking the speed limit!

Sterling grabs Plebian nailing him with a sharp European upper. He jumps up taking Plebian down with a hurricanrana. Both men return back to their feet, Sterling sends Plebian into the ropes. Plebian bounces off the ropes, as Sterling jumps into the air nailing him with a dropkick. Sterling moves quickly out tot her ring apron, he makes his way to the top rope. Sterling stands on the top rope, he leaps off for a crossbody, but Plebian moves out of the way, as Sterling crashes into the mat.

Logan Acker - Crash and burn!

Cliff Morris - Jeremy Sterling took a chance and it backfired!

Logan Acker - The Plebian now has a huge window of opportunity!

Plebian lifts Sterling off the mat, he grabs him around his waist lifting him up and down with a back body drop. Plebian rises to his feet, he grabs Sterling lifting him off the mat. Plebian leans over lifting Sterling up, and down with a hard scoop slam. Sterling lays on the mat arching his back, as he rives in pain. Sterling stumbles to his feet, as Plebian locks his arms around him into a rear waistlock, he lifts Sterling up and down with a German suplex, with a bridge.

Logan Acker - The Plebian needs to stay on the attack!

Both men return to their feet, Plebian grabs Sterling sending him into the ropes, Sterling bounces off the ropes, he runs back at Plebian, he goes for a clothesline, but Sterling ducks under the clothesline attempt. Sterling turns, as Plebian turns back toward him, leaping into the air nailing him with a enzguri, sending Plebian down to the mat. Sterling runs toward the ropes, he jumps off the middle rope landing back down onto Plebian with a lionsault. Sterling covers him.

Sterling quickly returns to his feet, as Plebian slowly rises up off the mat, still dazed. Sterling runs at Plebian, he catches Sterling into his arms throwing him with a overhead belly to belly suplex. Plebian turns, as Sterling returns to his feet, as he does Sterling jumps up nailing him with a enzguri, Sterling pops back up off the mat nailing Plebian with another enzguri sending him down to the mat. Sterling runs quickly into the ropes, he leaps back off the middle rope landing back down onto Plebian with another Lionsault. Sterling covers him.

Cliff Morris - Jeremy Sterling now can sit back and wait on his opponent later tonight to crown the first ROA Champion!

Logan Acker - That has to be a huge advantage for Jeremy Sterling, but we will find out later tonight how big of an advantage.

Sterling stands on the second rope looking out at the crowd, with his arms raised over his head, as the crowd is getting behind him.

Timothy Nilus Netheridge vs. Colossus vs. Mikey Unlikely


Emily Lyle - Ladies and gentlemen the following contest is a triple threat match, scheduled for one fall! Introducing first –

The opening sounds of Enter Sandman begin to echo throughout the arena, as the music blast throughout the arena, Colossus steps through the curtains.

Emily Lyle - From Boise, Idaho, he stands 6’ 3” tall and weighs in at 288 pounds! This. Is Colossus!

Colossus slowly walks down the aisle, looking at the crowd cracking his neck, as he makes his way toward the ring. Colossus stands in front of the ring adjusting his wrist tape, as he jumps onto the ring apron, slowly entering the ring for the match to begin.

Emily Lyle - And his opponent, from The Louie, Ohio, standing 5’ 11” tall and weighing in at 235 pounds –

"Blunt Blowin" by Lil Wayne hits the PA system, and as the crowd reacts, Mikey Unlikely, comes through the curtain.

Emily Lyle - Please welcome, Miiiiiikeeeeeeyyy Unlikelly!!!!

Mikey is in his signature hooded vest, as he makes his way to the ring, he stops and works the crowd a little in the aisleway. Mikey then slides into the ring and walks over to the center of the ropes between the turnbuckles, climbs to the second rope and poses to the crowd. He then climbs down, and takes off his vest, checks his boots, and wrist tape to make sure they are tight.

Emily Lyle - And finally, their last opponent. He stands six foot even and weighed in at 202 pounds! From Bayside, California, this is –

The lights in the arena cut out as a loud, booming voice takes over the arena.


Quiet On The Set People! Action in 3...2...1...[/div][/b][/i]

No One Like You (Fictional TNN Edit) - Scorpions kicks off as the lights in the ROA Zone flash! The cameras show only his jean-clad legs as he rapidly approaches the entryway. Once there the cameras jump up to zoom in on his face just as he snaps his neck back.

Emily Lyle - Please welcome! Timothy! Nilus! Netheridge!

TNN starts walking down the ramp. Half way down he does a twirl, finishing the spin as he reaches the end of the aisle.

TNN pulls a microphone out of his jacket pocket as he slides under the bottom rope. He twirls to the center of the ring and stops, looking straight up and holding the mic above his face, he finishes with a lip sync to the song.

Logan Acker - Wow, talk about a diverse matchup! As if triple threats weren’t chaotic enough, now we have three men from vastly different backgrounds with vastly different styles!

Cliff Morris - That’s what keeps our business interesting! It’s already a big fight feel on this debut show, and no doubt each of these men will be using this match to jockey for position to be next in line to the ROA Championshipship!

Logan Acker - Right you are! And ladies and gentlemen, stay tuned, as that ROA Championshipship will be decided later tonight!

The three men circle each other. The Big Guy grabs Mikey Unlikely and tosses him into the ropes! On the rebound Colossus catches him with a NASTY looking knee-lift which stops Mikey’s momentum cold! Colossus drills home a second knee and Mikey crumples under the impact! Colossus raises his arms in the air triumphantly as TNN slips in behind him and delivers a standing dropkick to The Big Guy, which appears to do little more than anger him.

Cliff Morris - Beautiful dropkick by the Broadway Dancer there!

Logan Acker - But not beautiful enough to get on Colossus’ good side!

Cliff Morris - Does The Big Guy even have a “good side”?

Colossus turns and snarls at TNN’s antics. TNN starts to slowly back off, putting his hands up before he gets an idea. He reaches into his jeans and throws something out of the ring. TNN points outside and says ”You hungry? Go get it boy! It’s yours!”

Logan Acker - Was that a Slim JimTM Timothy just tossed?

Colossus snarls at TNN and runs him down with a STIFF lariat!

Cliff Morris - I don’t know, but I don’t think Colossus cares either!

TNN falls on his back as he rubs his face after the shot. Colossus stands tall over TNN as the crowd starts to cheer a bit.

Logan Acker - Look out!

Mikey comes out of nowhere off the springboard, landing a textbook crossbody on The Big Guy!

Cliff Morris - Colossus has been taken off his feet! Cover him Mikey!

Mikey pulls Colossus back towards the ropes and drops down into a lateral press.

TNN makes the save! Mikey stands up and goes face-to-face with TNN. The two argue for a moment as Colossus begins to stir. The Big Guy runs both of them over with a double clothesline – or he would have, had the two of them not ducked! Colossus’ momentum carries him through to the ropes where TNN and Mikey land a pair of simultaneous dropkicks taking The Big Guy up and over the ropes to the floor below!

Logan Acker - Ah. They finally learned the only way to beat the Colossus is to work together.

TNN points to the corner and Mikey goes over to it. He stands on the second rope, but TNN comes up from behind, and delivers the German Suplex! TNN bridges over Mikey for the cover!

Mikey gets the shoulder up!

Cliff Morris - Wow, a second rope suplex from the Broadway Dancer!

Logan Acker - I never would have suspected that from him!

Mikey gets up and gets in TNN’s face about the “backstab” but TNN shrugs. He points behind Mikey to see Colossus climbing onto the apron again. TNN pushes Mikey into him, but Mikey shoves TNN instead! TNN hits the ropes only to get knocked down by a Colossal right-hand as he gets in the ring! TNN gets up and grabs Colossus by the hand and does a twirl around him, whipping him to the ropes! On the rebound TNN drops down into the splits! Colossus keeps going right into Mikey’s Discuss Clothesline! TNN jumps back up as Colossus is dazed! He spins him around and stuns him with a double ear slap, sending him back into Mikey’s “Unlikely Timing” (Single Knee Facebuster) to which TNN responds by grabbing Colossus, then taking him into the corner turnbuckle, face first, with a Reverse STO!

Logan Acker - Man, this crowd is totally INTO this match so far!

TNN rises to his feet, he steps back, as he does out of nowhere, Mikey nails TNN in his back with a dropkick, which sends him out to the ring apron. Mikey grabs Colossus, he runs him into the ropes, as TNN stands on the ring apron, he sends him off the ring apron, as Colossus smacks face to face with TNN. Mike steps back, as Colossus staggers around nailing him with a leg lariat. Mikey climbs up to the top rope, he leaps off landing down onto Colossus with the One Hit Wonder -(Flying fist drop). Mikey covers him.

TNN slides into the ring, he starts punching away on Mikey. The referee tries to break this up, but TNN pushes him aside. TNN pulls Mikey up, he runs at him tackling him punching him, as he does the ring fills with security.

Cliff Morris - Mikey Unlikey may have won the battle but TNN has won the war!

Logan Acker - The war's not over yet Cliff!

ROA Championship Tournament Match
Dan West vs. Parker Van Peters


Emily Lyle - This match is ROA Championship tournament match up!

“Lazaretto” by Jack White begins to play over the speaker system as the lights dim and the smoke machine starts. Dan West sprints out of the curtain and begins to spin a bit and then takes a knee.

Emily Lyle - Introducing first, from Olympia, Washington, weighing two hundred and twenty pounds!! Dan West!!!

He smirks as the crowd begins to boo. He pops up and oddly walks to the ring. He appears to be on some sort of substance or possibly inebriated. Dan slides into the ring and climbs the turnbuckle. He spits into the crowd and then jumps down and begins to the run the ropes.

“Princes of the Universe” plays over the sound system, handout from the curtain comes Parker Van Peters. He is sporting a leather jacket with tassels and sunglasses over his wrestling gear.

Emily Lyle - His opponent, from Hollywood, California, weighing one hundred and ninety nine!! Parker Van Peters!!!

He has in his hands a head shot that he shows off to the booing crowd. Eventually he throws in down near the ring and climbs up the ring stairs, then on top of the ring post. He throws off his glasses, then licks both his pinky fingers and wipes his eyebrows down. He leaps down from the turnbuckle, and spins around as he removes his jacket.

Cliff Morris - One of these two will move on to the face Jeremy Sterling to crown the first ROA Champion.

Logan Acker - This will put both these competitors to the test.

As the bell sounds, West runs at PVP nailing him with a pair of clubbing shots backing him back into the corner. West hits away on PVP, as he covers him, the referee backs West back, as PVP moves out of the corner, he says something to West, he runs at him, but PVP move back into the ropes. West steps back, as PVP moves away from the ropes. PVP kicks West in the stomach doubling him over, he pulls West up raking his hand down his eyes. West grabs at his eyes, as PVP grabs him around his head rubbing his face down the top ring rope. The referee orders a break, PVP steps back with his hands raised, as West punches him into his stomach. West pulls PVP around throwing him through the ropes out onto the floor. West steps through the ropes out to the floor.

Cliff Morris - These two are throwing technical wrestling out the window.

Logan Acker - These two are looking to tear one another apart!

West pulls PVP up off the floor, he grabs him sending him into the guardrail, PVP falls onto the floor clutching at his back. West pulls PVP up off the floor, he sends him into the ring apron. West runs at him, but PVP moves out of the way. PVP grabs West slamming his face down onto the ring apron. PVP pulls West around running with his arm around his head planting him down with a running bulldog on the floor. PVP rises to his feet, as West lays on the floor face down. PVP stomps on West, as he lays on the floor. PVP slowly slides back into the ring.

Cliff Morris - Dan West is still laying on the floor as Parker Van Peters has returned to the ring.

Logan Acker - Parker Van Peters set the tone for tonight with his speech earlier tonight.

Cliff Morris - I couldn’t agree more.

West gets to his feet, he pulls himself up onto the ring apron, as he steps through the ropes, PVP pulls up the middle rope hitting West with a low blow. West falls into the ring. PVP grabs him choking him, as the referee calls for a break.
Cliff Morris - Parker Van Peters is pulling out all the stops.

Logan Acker - Parker Van Peters has thrown the rule book out the window, as he wants the ROA Championship.

PVP pulls West up off the mat, as he does West comes at PVP nailing him with punches, he grabs him sending him into the ropes. PVP bounces off the ropes, West runs at him nailing him with a running back elbow. He turns, as PVP gets to his feet, he grabs him throwing him down onto the mat with a hip toss. West turns pulling PVP up. West lifts PVP up onto his shoulders dropping him with a gut buster. West covers him.

West pulls PVP up to his feet, he grabs him around his head nailing him with a pair of trapping headbutts. West pulls PVP around grabbing him around his head, he grabs him lifting him up, and down with a vertical suplex. West covers him.

West pulls PVP up, as he does PVP catches West with a poke to the eye, which stuns him. PVP pulls West back into a school boy.

PVP rises to his feet wanting a quicker count, but the referee warns him, PVP slaps his hands together wanting a faster count. West nails PVP in the back of his head with a lariat, which sends him falling forward onto the mat. West grabs PVP pulling him up, and planting him into the mat with a curb stomp. West covers him.

Mammoth vs. Ryan Crews


Emily Lyle - The following contest is set for one fall!!

Mama Said Knock You Out begin to echo through out the arena, as the music blast through out the arena, some fans sing along with the music. Mammoth steps through the curtains. Mammoth slowly walks down the aisle, looking at the crowd, as he makes his way toward the ring.

Emily Lyle - Introducing first, from Boise, Idaho, weighing two hundred and seventy seven pounds!! Mammoth!!

Mammoth stands in front of the ring slapping at his elbow pads, he jumps onto the ring apron, slowly walking around the ring for the match to begin.

"Broken Down" by Sevendust rocks through the building as the lights fade out. As the song gets going Ryan Crews steps out from behind the curtain with a purposeful look on his face. Ryan heads down the aisle as the fans stick their hands out trying to touch him. He casually walks until he gets to the ring.

Emily Lyle - His opponent, from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, weighing two hundred and fifteen pounds!! Ryan Crews!!

He slides up onto the apron and soaks in the fans mixed reaction before climbing into the ring between the ropes. He stands on the bottom rope in the middle raising his right arm into the air with a clenched fist.

Cliff Morris - We are set for our next contest, as Ryan Crews takes on the massive, Mammoth.

Logan Acker - When Mama Mammoth named, Mammoth she nailed it, this is one large individual.

The bell sounds, as both men slowly move from their corners, they slowly move into a collar and elbow tie up. Crews shoots around on Mammoth into a go behind. He takes his arm into a hammerlock, as he pulls up on his arm. Mammoth ducks under moving around taking Crews into a hammerlock of his own. Mammoth takes Crews into a headlock, he wrenches his arms around his head, as Crews sends him off. Mammoth runs off bouncing off the ropes, he runs back at Mammoth for a shoulder tackle, but Mammoth doesn’t move. Mammoth stands looking at Crews smacking his chest. Mammoth tells him to do it again. Crews turns to run toward the ropes, but turns back nailing Mammoth with a pair of clubbing punches.

Cliff Morris - Mammoth will think twice before he tells Ryan Crews to do something again.

Logan Acker - Ryan Crews throwing those wild punches, Mammoth needs to counter this attack!

Crews runs back bouncing off the ropes, he runs back at Mammoth nailing him with a running calf kick, which stuns him. Crews runs back into the ropes, he bounces off the ropes running back at Mammoth, he jumps up taking him down with a Lou Thez press. Crews leans over him nailing Mammoth with a pair of punches, as he leans over him. Crews rises to his feet, he drops a elbow drop down onto Mammoth. Crews rises up to his feet, he starts laying in stomps, as Mammoth tries to cover up, but can’t get out of the way of the stomps.

Cliff Morris - Ryan Crews stomping a mud hole and walking it dry!

Logan Acker - Wait a second can’t that someone else’s line?

Cliff Morris - You have anything better?

Logan Acker - I’d like to think so.

Mammoth rises to his feet, as he does Crews spins around nailing him with a spinning clothesline. Crews goes for the cover.

Mammoth lays flat on his back on the mat, as Crews makes his way toward the corner moving up the ropes. Crews stands on the top rope, he jumps off landing down onto Mammoth with the Bruise Crews (Moonsault). Crews covers him.

Emily Lyle - The winner of this match Ryan Crews!!

Crews rises to his feet, as Terry Spackler slides into the ring checking on Mammoth, as he looks dazed, and confused.

Cliff Morris - Ryan Crews looking very impressive.

Logan Acker - In the up coming weeks, can Ryan Crews build on this impressive win.

Cliff Morris - Only time will.

Heavy thundering drums of Metallica's "The Shortest Straw" as Ryan Crews stands in the ring looking around. Ryan Crews looks in every direction, as the lights blink, Crews turns around, and is leveled by Randal Bishop, with a running big boot. Bishop stands over Crews, as he lays on the mat suffering in pain. Bishop slowly makes his way out of the ring.

Cliff Morris - What was that all about!!

Logan Acker - Randal Bishop just took Ryan Crews' head off!!

Bishop turns looking back at the ring, with a crazed look on his face, as Crews is slowly getting to his feet, Bishop turns heading back to the back.
