UWL - Power Surge - 6/24/17

The crowd is on their feet, cheering with anticipation for the next match.

Emily Lyle - This match is set for one fall!

"Can't Get The Best Of Me" by Cypress Hill begins to play as Mark and his brother Lance step out onto the runway. They bump fist at the entrance.

Emily Lyle - From Atlanta, Georgia, weighing two hundred and thirty pounds! Mark Wade!

Mark rushes the ring sliding in under the bottom rope then makes his way to each turnbuckle to get the crowd wild.

Cliff Morris - Mark Wade looks ready for action.

Logan Acker - Mark Wade better lace up those boots right, he's in for a fight.

Smoke fills the entrance ramp as 'Superbeast' starts playing on the PA, signalling the arrival of Damien Diabolus who steps through the smoke wearing his always striking facepaint, and taking a knee in the smoke letting it envelop him and subsequently dissipate away.

Emily Lyle - From Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, weighing two hundred and twenty pounds! Damien Diabolus!

Punching the entrance ramp a couple of times, Damien proceeds to spit a pint of blood into the air and laugh sadistically. Standing back up he cracks his neck, and starts moving down the ramp towards the ring, making sure to menace the fans on the first row.

Cliff Morris – We’re ready for our next match up. As………

Damien runs at Wade throwing wild punches at him, the referee calls for the bell. Damien bites Wade, the referee calls for a break. Damien keeps biting him, the referee starts his count.

Damien steps back. He turns throwing a hard punch nailing Wade, he stumbles around the ring. Damien leans over lifting him up throwing him down with a hard slam. Wade lays on the mat arching his back grimacing in pain. Damien runs at him, he nails him with a hard kick. He pulls him up to his feet ramming his fingers into Wade’s eyes, the referee calls for a break, but Damien keeps raking his eyes. The referee starts his count.

Damien steps back, he steps through the ropes going out to the ring apron, down to the floor.

Cliff Morris – Damien Diabolus has nothing fancy in his move set. Now he’s going to the floor!

Logan Acker – Damien Diabolus is gritty and down right nasty!

Damien gets a chair, he slides back in the ring. The referee tries to get the chair away from him, he jerks the chair back. The referee stumbles. Damien nails Wade smacking the chair off his back.

Cliff Morris – Damien Diabolus just clocked Mark Wade with that chair!!

Logan Acker – I love it!

Damien throws the chair down. He turns grabbing Wade by the side of his mouth. He jerks his mouth pulling his mouth with his finger in the side of his mouth jerking his jaw, the referee calls for a break. Damien throws Wade down. He rises up off the mat. Damien kicks him in his stomach doubling him over. He grabs him around his head planting him down with a spiking DDT.

Cliff Morris – Damien Diabolus is a rough customer!

Logan Acker – That’s what we need. Someone to get down and dirty and doesn’t care about flips and flops. All Damien cares about is knocking someones head off their shoulders!

Damien pulls Wade up to his feet. He leans him over, lifts him up and plants him down with the Eighty-Sixed (Cradle Piledriver). Wade lays motionless on the mat. Damien covers him, the referee counts.

Cliff Morris – This one is all over!

Logan Acker – Damien Diabolus took care of business!

Damien punches the mat several times as he rises up off the mat. He rises up off the mat. Damien laughs sadistically as he looks at the referee checking on Mark Wade.

Cliff Morris – Damien Diabolus seems to enjoy seeing Mark Wade suffer!

Logan Acker – Simply enjoying his handy work!

Damien exits the ring as the show cuts to a break.

The crowd rises to their feet for the next match.

Emily Lyle - This match is set for one fall!

Stephan Sword III arrives hooded on the head. He kneels down and traces a circle with his right hand and then stands up screaming that this is his moment. He moves forward, raising his arms. He then climbs into the ring and climbs on the posts to do his taunts.

Emily Lyle - From Liverpool, England, weighing two hundred and four pounds! Stephen Sword III!!

Cliff Morris - Stephen Sword III making his ROA debut.

Logan Acker - Is this the night of the debuts?

The Gaslight Anthem’s ‘American Slang’ hits and, after a few seconds, Danny Johnson rushes onto the stage and throws his arm high into the air as the spotlight falls on him. He claps to the beat of the music as they begin to join in as he starts to walk down the aisle.

Emily Lyle - Making his way down the aisle: from Trenton, New Jersey, weighing one hundred and seventy-four pounds… DANNY JOHNSON!

Johnson runs up the ring stairs and quickly steps between the ropes, throwing his arm up high once more as he bounces his chest off the rope near the hard camera before stepping back into a corner.

Cliff Morris – Here we are with two debuts. Danny Johnson taking on Stephen Sword III.

Logan Acker – Yeah, maybe this will be interesting. We’ll have to wait and see.

The bell sounds. Sword runs at Danny, he takes him over with an arm drag. They both return to their feet. Sword runs at Danny once again and gets taken over with another arm drag. Danny takes him over with a hip toss. Danny grabs Sword around his head, taking him over with a snap suplex. Danny rises up, he sends Sword into the ropes. He comes off the ropes, Danny takes him over with a hurricanrana.

Cliff Morris – Danny Johnson looking very impressive!

Logan Acker – I guess you could say that!

Danny comes at Sword. He runs at him, Sword goes around him. Danny reverses Sword pulling him around kicking him in his stomach doubling him over. He grabs him around his head planting him down with a DDT. Danny goes out to the ring apron, he moves up to the top rope. Sword rises up. Danny leaps off nailing him with a missile dropkick.

Cliff Morris – Danny Johnson is taking to to Sword III.

Logan Acker – Stephen Sword III to be exact.

Sword rises up off the mat. Danny runs at him, planting him down with the Code Blue (Snap Reverse STO). Danny covers him, the referee counts.

Logan Acker – Maybe Stephen Sword III can have better luck in Liverpool than he did here tonight.

Danny stands on the second rope celebrating the win as the show cuts to a break.

The picture scans over the crowd before returning to Emily Lyle.

Emily Lyle - This match is set for one fall! It is for the Endurance Championship!

"Let you down" by Seether starts playing in the P.A System, while the lights go out and a spot light appears in front of the curtain.

If I could speak I'd tell you all my fears and deprivations
If I could feel I'd take away your pain
If I could bleed I'd show you all my scars and imperfections
If I could breather I'd hold you in my veins

Erik Scorpion comes out of the curtain giving his back to the ring and the public, extending the right side of his jacket with his right hand.

You've got me feeling like an animal
Beat down in fear and paralyzed
You've got me feeling like I have no other hand to hold
In this assisted suicide

Scorpion turns around, still extending the right side of his jacket with his hand and gives a smirk to the public as a slight laugh escapes him. He then starts walking towards the ring.

So say something beautiful
Say something you're keeping inside
This anticipation
I will only let you down

Scorpion continues his walk towards the ring, but takes a brief pause to look around. As he sees some fans extending his hands, trying to touch him, he ignores them and gets out of the way, avoiding any kind of contact with the fans.

Emily Lyle - From Miami, Florida, weighing two hundred and five pounds! Erik Scorpion!

Scorpion runs towards the ring and slides, and just as the chorus is nearing the end, while kneeling, he puts his knuckles together, spelling "STAY DOWN"

I will only let you down.

Erik Scorpion gets up and as the song continues he just stands in a corner waiting for the match to start.[/div]

Cliff Morris - Erik Scorpion has a huge opportunity ahead of him tonight.

Logan Acker - True, but Alexander Devin won't go down easy.





Lights turn on and off around the entrance at random intervals as "Bad Moon Rising" by Mourning Ritual starts up, playing over the speakers. The video package on the video shows a book laying on a table, its pages fluttering in an unseen wind, blank. A rough hand appears on screen, laying on the fluttering pages of the book to stop them from moving as the camera pans up then. Alexander is standing there in his black t-shirt and off white slacks, lip synching to the following lyrics to the song..

"Don't go around tonight
Well, it's bound to take your life
There's a bad moon on the rise"


As he mouths the last line of the song, he turns his head to face the camera and slams the book shut as the lights go off in the arena, the music quietly humming in the background as smoke starts to pour out from the entrance slowly. Lights rise up and flicker around the entrance as the music picks up again, flickering in time with the drums and guitars as Alexander makes his way out from the back, carrying that same book in his hand.

Emily Lyle - From New York City, New York, weighing one hundred and ninety pounds! He is the Endurance Champion! Alexander Devin!

He bears no smile on his face, only a calm resolute look as he stops at the top of the entrance for a second, scanning the crowd before opening his arms wide and walking down the ramp, lowering them as he gets to the ring. He climbs the steps and gets in the ring, walking to the middle and posing the same way that he did at the beginning.

Cliff Morris – It’s Endurance Championship time. As, Alexander Devin puts the Endurance Title on the line against, Erik Scorpion.

Logan Acker – These two want one thing and that’s the Endurance Championship. That’s it, so let’s see what they’ve got.

The bell sounds. They move toward one another. They go to lock up, Devin kicks Scorpion in his stomach stunning him. He nails him with an upper cut which staggers him. Devin sends him into the ropes. Scorpion comes off the ropes. Devin comes at him nailing him with a big boot. He stands over him with his head back and his arms out. Devin leans over jerking Scorpion up to his feet. He grabs him around his head. Scorpion reverses it nailing him with a back hand chop. He jumps up taking Devin over with a hurricanrana. Scorpion rises up off the mat. Scorpion nails Devin with a round house kick which stuns him. He sends him into the ropes. Devin comes off the ropes, Scorpion nails him with a leg lariat. Devin rolls out to the floor. Scorpion runs across the ring, he dives to the outside taking Devin down with a suicide dive. They’re both laying on the floor, the fans are going wild.

Cliff Morris – Listen to this crowd!

Logan Acker – Yeah, I hear it!

Scorpion pulls Devin up. He grabs him sending him slamming his back off the ring steps. Devin falls to his knees on the floor grimacing in pain. Scorpion runs at him nailing him with a running kick to the face. Scorpion turns mocking Devin. He pulls him up off the floor. Scorpion goes to send him to the guardrail, but Devin blocks it. He turns sending Scorpion slamming his back off the guardrail, he falls forward onto the floor.

Cliff Morris – These two are trying to destroy one another!

Logan Acker – What did you expect? Then to dance? The Endurance Title is on the line and that means more money, prestige of course they’re going to destroy one another!

Devin pulls Scorpion up off the floor. He grabs him around his head taking him over with a snap suplex on the floor. Scorpion turns arching his back grimacing in pain. Devin moves back on the ring apron as Scorpion is laying on the floor grimacing in pain. Devin moves back in the ring. Scorpion rises up slowly off the floor. He slides back in the ring. Devin runs at him landing down with a knee drop, he rolls forward sitting on one knee looking around.

Cliff Morris – Alexander Devin is in control!

Logan Acker – Alexander Devin showing why he’s the Endurance Champion!

Devin grabs Scorpion up to his feet. He goes to send him to the ropes. Scorpion blocks it. He pulls Devin around dropping him with a STO. Scorpion goes out to the ring apron, he moves up the ropes to the top rope. Scorpion leaps off sailing through the air landing down on Devin with a diving elbow drop. He turns covering him, the referee counts.

Cliff Morris – Erik Scorpion with the pin, but only a count of two!

Logan Acker – Alexander Devin won’t go down that easy!

Scorpion starts kicking Devin with repeated kicks to his chest. He jerks him up to his feet. Scorpion goes to send him to the corner, but Devin blocks it. Devin sends Scorpion to the corner, but he runs up t he ropes in the corner, he leaps back off grabbing Devin dropping him with a slingshot cutter. He runs at the downed Devin landing on him with a senton. Scorpion covers him, the referee counts.

Scorpion looks up in shock.

Cliff Morris – Scorpion can’t believe it!

Logan Acker – I’ve said it before, and saying it now. You won’t keep Alexander Devin down that easy!

Scorpion goes out to the ring apron. He starts up the top rope. Devin comes at him. He starts hitting him as he stands on the top rope. Devin comes back throwing wild punches at Scorpion as he almost falls off the top rope. Scorpion tries to fight him off, but Devin keeps throwing his punches trying to knock him off the top rope. Devin grabs a hold of Scorpion throwing him off the top rope down down to the mat. Scorpion turns arching his back grimacing in pain. Scorpion rises up slowly off the mat. Devin runs at him nailing Scorpion with a leaping forearm smash. Devin turns grabbing Scorpion, he locks him in a crossface chickenwing.

Cliff Morris – Devin has Scorpion locked in the chickenwing!

Logan Acker – Put your money on Devin folks!

Devin locks the hold on. Scorpion tries to get free, but just can’t. The referee checks on Scorpion, he doesn’t give up and is hanging on. Devin pulls on the hold, the referee checks on Scorpion, he’s hanging on.

Cliff Morris – How much can Erik Scorpion take?

Logan Acker – As much as Alexander Devin dishes out!

Devin pulls on the hold, but Scorpion keeps hanging on. The referee checks on Scorpion, he manages to get his legs in the ropes, the referee calls for a break, but Devin doesn’t break the hold. The referee starts his count.

Devin breaks the hold. Devin stomps away on Scorpion as he lays on the mat. He jerks him up to his feet. He scoops him up, and throws him down with a scoop powerslam. Devin covers him, the referee counts.

Logan Acker – Devin thought it was three!

Devin sends Scorpion to the corner. He runs in at him, but Scorpion dodges out of the way. Devin slams into the turnbuckles. Scorpion turns picking up the stunned Devin into a fireman's carry position. He throws him out with a fireman's carry backbraeker. He covers him, the referee counts.

Cliff Morris – I thought that was it!

Logan Acker – No so fast says Alexander Devin!

Devin pulls Scorpion up to his feet. He goes to send him into the ropes, but Scorpion blocks it. Devin comes back at him, Scorpion ducks under. He turns, Scorpion nails him with the Scorpion's Tail (Superkick). Scorpion covers him, the referee counts.

Cliff Morris – Erik Scorpion has done it!

Logan Acker – That's right the new Endurance Champion!

Scorpion rises up, the referee hands him the Endurance Title belt. Scorpion stands with the belt thrown over his shoulder as the show cuts to a break.

The show comes back from a break. Ryozo and Shioya come back through the curtain and they're met by Abby Jospeh. She starts to talk, Ryozo takes the microphone out of her hands.

Ryozo - Step aside, deary. You're looking your ROA Tag Team Champions. We just took out the trash, with Black and LeRoux. Who's going to stop us?

Shioya - Ryozo haven't you heard?

Ryozo looks confused.

Shioya - July 8th, at ROA 16 we're defending the ROA Tag Team Titles in a Round Robin Challenge.

Ryozo smiles from ear to ear.

Ryozo - Line all the teams you want. Because we'll knock them down one by one.

Ryozo and Shioya walk off laughing as the show cuts to a break.
