UWL - Boston Beatdown - 8/5/17

The show returns cutting to the ring ready for the next match.

Emily Lyle - This match is set for one fall!

Cliff Morris - This should be a hard hitting match up.

Logan Acker - I just want to see the hard hitting aspect.

The opening sounds of Lights and Sounds begins to play and as the music ramps up, Jeremy Sterling bursts through the curtains at the eleven second mark. Receiving a mixed reaction from the fans, Jeremy Sterling jogs down to the ring, slapping the hands of the fans reaching out.

Emily Lyle - From Sterling, Virginia, weighing one hundred and ninety five pounds! Jeremy Sterling!

Sliding into the ring, Sterling hops up to his feet and looks around before heading to his corner of the ring and doing some light stretching, ready for his match to begin.

Cliff Morris - Jeremy Sterling looks ready for this encounter.

Logan Acker - Jeremy Sterling better be ready because he's been on a losing skid as of late.

Sterling stands in the ring waiting for his opponent. He steps out of the corner to stretch when out of nowhere, Kristian Bane blindsides him knocking him to the mat.

Cliff Morris - Kristian Bane just took out Jeremy Sterling!!

Logan Acker - HAHAHA I love it!!

The bell sounds. Bane sends Sterling into the ropes. Sterling comes off the ropes, Bane nails him with a lariat which turns him inside and out. Sterling lays facedown on the mat motionless.

Cliff Morris - This is getting ugly fast!

Logan Acker - Throw in the towel!

Bane grabs Sterling up, he grabs him around his throat sending him down with the Baneful Existence (Double Handed Chokeslam). Bane covers him, the referee counts.

Cliff Morris - That's all over!

Logan Acker - It was over before it started!

Bane stands looking around, he begins screaming, "WHERE YOU AT DRAKE! SHOW YOURSELF!"

Cliff Morris - Bane is referring to his opponent at ROA 19 James-Michael Drake.

Logan Acker - That's going to be a slugfest brought to you by Kristian Bane!

Bane stands in the ring as the show cuts to a break.

The show returns from break with the crowd still buzzing over what just happened.

Emily Lyle - This match is set for one fall!

It becomes ominously quiet in the arena and everything goes black. The screen, lights up showing blood dripping from a hammer, Scott Grayses hammer known as Helen. "#BASH" is seen as "Reborn" by Stone Sour blares and the lights come on to see Scott Grayse standing on the ramp glaring into the ring where his next victim awaits.

Emily Lyle - From Los Angeles, California, weighing two hundred and thirty pounds! Scott Grayse!!

Grayse looks out into the legions of fans and forms a sick sadistic smile. He takes Helen and
holds it up as he lets out a hortific yell. The Sinister Psychopath slides into the ring and stands in the middle raising both arms as Red
fireworks shoot off.

Logan Acker - The man with a plan, Scott Grayse!

A typical marching band cadence plays and Stephen Moore comes out from the back. He's got an American flag over his shoulder and a microphone in his other hand. He takes a few steps to the left and places the flag into a stand that has been set up just outside the entrance. The cadence ends, hidden fans begin to blow on the flag to make it flutter, and Moore stands in front of it speaking.[/div]

Stephen Moore: "Ladies and gentlemen. Please rise and join me at this time. Introducing the challenger/competitor (please select each week), he stands at six-foot five and tips the scales tonight at two-hundred and eighty pounds. All the way from Fairfield Connecticut, the Mainstream Mastodon/The Great Right Hope/The Latest American Hero (please pick a random one each week), James-Michael, DRAAAAAKKKEEE!!!!!"

When the rendition of "America the Beautiful" begins to play James-Michael Drake steps out from the back, marching with purpose. Moore applauds wildly, and JMD turns to the flag and salutes. He walks down to the ring ahead of Stephen Moore and when he reaches it, rolls under the bottom rope. JMD pops back up and raises both hands in the air. He then holds them outstretched and does a small hop before spinning around 540 degrees. James-Michael cracks his neck and hops back and forth on his heels as he waits for the match to begin.


Cliff Morris - We’re ready for this next match up after just uncalled for attack we say moments ago. Anyway, let’s get back on track. We’re ready for this next match as James-Michael Drake takes on Scott Grayse.

Logan Acker – This will be a hard battle between these two. Stephen Moore is the manger of managers.

The bell sounds, both men slowly circle around one another, slowly feeling one another out. They move into a collar and elbow tie up. Both men struggle for position, but neither man will give an inch. JMD reaches up nailing Scott with a hard forearm strike, which stuns Scott. They slowly circle around one another, as they move to lock back up. Stephen Moore looks on as they lock back up. JMD takes Scott into a side headlock, he wrenches his arms tight around his head, as Scott slowly walks JMD back into the ropes. Scott sends JMD off into the ropes, Scott charges at JMD, but gets met with a running shoulder block, which sends Scott down to the mat. Scott slowly returns to his feet. JMD leans over lifting Scott up throwing him back down hard onto the mat. Scott lays on the mat arching his back, as he rives in pain, JMD kicks Scott flush in his head with a hard kick. JMD pulls Scott up off the mat, he moves him back against the ropes. JMD sends Scott across the ring into the ropes. Scott runs back off the ropes, as JMD goes for a clothesline, but Scott ducks under the clothesline attempt. Scott carries his momentum off the ropes, he runs back at toward JMD, but gets met with a running big boot sending Scotty down to the mat. JMD covers him, the referee counts.

JMD pulls Scott up off the mat, he nails him with a hard European upper cut, which stuns Scott. JMD leans over lifting Scott back up throwing him hard off the mat with a bodyslam. JMD pulls Scott up off the mat, he grabs him setting him up for a exploder suplex, but Scott blocks it, nailing JMD in the side of his head with a pair of hard elbow shots. JMD drops to one knee grabbing at the side of his head. Scott runs at JMD nailing him with a running high knee, which sends JMD through the ropes out to the ring apron down onto the floor. Scott steps out to the ring apron, as JMD stumbles up to his feet on the floor, Scott jumps off nailing JMD with a insane missile dropkick out to the floor, which sends JMD down to the floor. JMD slowly gets up to his feet. Scott nails JMD with a clothesline, which flips him over the guardrail into the front row. JMD lays on the floor, as Scott stands looking around. Scott turn moving back into the ring, as JMD slowly gets up off the floor, and moves back over the guardrail. JMD moves back onto the ring apron, as he does Scott runs at him kicking him back off the ring apron back onto the floor falling back into the guardrail.

Cliff Morris – Scott Grayse is taking it to James-Michael Drake!

Logan Acker – Just as I said he would!

JMD slowly moves back into the ring, shaken up, but ready to go. Scott and JMD circle around one another, they slowly move to lock up, but JMD catches Scott with a hard European upper cut. JMD comes at Scott with an aggressive array of moves, nailing him with repeated hard European upper cuts. JMD grabs the stunned Scott leaning him over, he flits him up throwing him down with a gutwrench suplex. JMD pulls Scott off the mat nailing him flush into his face with a hard forearm strike, which stuns Scott. He comes back at JMD nailing him with a hard forearm strike of his own. Scott grabs JMD sending him into the ropes. Scott runs at JMD nailing him with a larat, but doesn’t send JMD off his feet. Scott runs up behind JMD planting him down with a bulldog. Scott gets up to his feet, as JMD lays flat on his stomach on the mat. Scott stands over him dropping a knee drop down onto the back of the neck of JMD. Scott pushes him over covering him, the referee counts.

Scott pulls JMD up to his feet, he sends him into the corner. Scott charges in at him, but JMD moves out of the way, as Scott slams into the turnbuckles. JMD runs up behind Scott grabbing him around the back of his tights, pulling him towards him nailing him flush into his back with a hard forearm strike to his lower back. Scott grimaces in pain, as JMD pulls him around grabbing him into an abdominal stretch. JMD locks the hold on, as Scott screams out in pain, as the referee checks on Scott, JMD reaches up grabbing the top rope for leverage. JMD pulls on the top rope, as Scott screams out in pain. the referee raises up checking on JMD, as he isn’t grabbing on the top rope at this point in time. the referee checks back on Scott, as JMD reaches back around grabbing the top rope, as Scott screams in pain. JMD pulls on the top rope, as the referee looks up, catching JMD. He calls for a break, but JMD doesn’t break the hold. Scott manages to break loose enough, he hip tosses JMD over, and falls onto his knees grimacing in pain grabbing at his back.

Cliff Morris - These two men love them or hate them they’re leaving it all in the ring!

Logan Acker – You said it finally you give these two men credit they deserve!

Scott gets to his feet, as JMD goes to hit him, but Scott blocks it. Scott comes back at JMD nailing him with a pair of hard punches of his own. Scott nails JMD in his stomach with a knee, and punches him with a hard punch, which stuns JMD. Scott pulls JMD around sending him into the ropes, JMD runs back at off the ropes at Scott, as he nails JMD with a hard back elbow, which staggers JMD. Scott charges at the dazed JMD nailing him with a lariat, which sends JMD down to the mat. Scott grabs JMD cross his arms up, and sending him down with a swinging DDT. Scott covers him, as the referee counts.

Scott pulls JMD up to his feet, he sends him into the ropes. Scott runs at JMD for a running high knee, but JMD dodges out of the way. JMD spins around nailing Scott with a hard big kick to the face which staggers Scott. JMD grabs Scott lifting him up sending him down on top of his head with a Exploder suplex. JMD pulls Scott up off the mat grabbing him around his head. He lifts him up planting Scott down with the Cradle of Life (Cradle Suplex). JMD pushes Scott over covering him, as the referee counts.

Cliff Morris - That was so close!!

Logan Acker - I thought that was three wow that was close this referee needs to count faster!

JMD gets up to his feet, he turns as he does Kristian Bane is in the ring and he nails JMD.

Cliff Morris – Get that idiot out of here!!

Logan Acker – I love it!! Bring the fight to him!

Kristian Bane grabs JMD throwing him down with a powerslam as security fills the ring pulling Bane back out of the ring. He stand staring at JMD laying flat on his back on the mat.

Cliff Morris – James-Michael Drake will get the DQ win, but at what cost!

Logan Acker – I don’t call this a win! If you ask me Kristian Bane just saved James-Michael Drake’s hide from getting it kicked by Scott Grayse. But, who can tell they’re both two of my favorites.

The show cuts to a break.

The crowd is on their feet ready for action.

Logan Acker - Let's see who comes out first.

The lights go out in the arena as "It Makes Them Disappear" by Pantera begins to play. Smoke fills the top of the ramp as the fans get on their feet for who is about to appear. A dark silhouette is created by Rhett Phoenix standing in the smoke and a light from behind him being in use. He waits patiently until "It Makes Them Disappear" is heard before he steps through the smoke and the lights in the arena gradually come back on. He is wearing a long black overcoat on top of his ring gear as he has his arms outstretched before spinning around.

Emily Lyle - From Chicago, Illinois, weighing one hundred and eighty five pounds, Rhett Phoenix!!

He glances at each side of the arena with a look of disgust on his face before he makes his way down the ramp to the ring. He avoids some of the fans’ outstretched hands and makes a few passing insults before he reaches the ring where he jumps onto the apron. Here he leans back first against the ropes and taunts the fans some more before finally stepping between the ropes. As he does so the announcer begins his routine. As the announcer says his name Phoenix jumps onto the turnbuckle and taunts the fans hear his name. He then hops back down as "It Makes Them Disappear" begins to fade away.

Cliff Morris - Rhett Phoenix looks ready.

Logan Acker - Ready or not, right.

The opening of Feel Invincible starts up as red and blue lights strobe the entrance ramp as Grayson Hunt comes out to the cheers of the crowd. He jumps around the ramp amping up the crowd as the cheer his name.

GARYSON! GRAYSON! GRAYSON!


Emily Lyle - Coming to the ring from Portland, ME the youngest of the Hunt Family, Weighing in at 235 GRAYSON “THE MAN OF STEEL” Hunt.

Grayson walks down the ramp shaking hands and high fiving the fans, on either side. Finally reaching the ring he slides under the bottom rope and again pumps up the crowd before climbing the corner turnbuckle, he throws his arms wide and then flashes an inverted diamond before jumping off the ropes and waiting for the match to start.

Cliff Morris – We’re ready for this next match up. As, Endurance Champion Grayson Hunt takes on Rhett Phoenix.

Logan Acker – Rhett Phoenix didn’t want this singles match. He’s a tag team wrestler and wanted to stick in tag team matches.

Cliff Morris – Sometimes that’s how the ball bounces.

The bell sounds both men move into a collar and elbow tie up. Hunt moves around into a side headlock on Rhett. He locks his arms tight around his head. Both men walk back against the ropes, Rhett sends him off. Hunt runs across the ring hitting off the ropes, he runs at Rhett hitting him with a shoulder block. Hunt runs over Rhett hitting off the ropes. Rhett takes Hunt over with an arm drag. Both men return to their feet. Rhett jumps up hitting him with a leg lariat. Rhett moves to his feet, he goes for a superkick, but Hunt ducks under it. He grabs Rhett around his arm taking him over with a arm drag. Both men move to their feet, Hunt takes him over with a side headlock takedown. Rhett pulls his legs up into a head scissors, and pushes out of the hold. Both men move to their feet, they lock up. Rhett backs Hunt into the corner. He goes to hit him, but Hunt ducks out of it. Rhett turns around in the corner. Hunt sends him across the ring into the opposite corner. Rhett stumbles out of the corner. Hunt hits him with a dropkick. Hunt covers him, the referee counts.

Cliff Morris – A near fall. Rhett Phoenix was able to kick out!

Logan Acker - Rhett Phoenix got caught off guard not use to singles matches.

Both men move to their feet. Hunt grabs Rhett around his head, he pulls him up dropping him down with a snap suplex. Hunt steps through the ropes out to the ring apron. He moves up the ropes. Hunt jumps off with an elbow drop, but Rhett rolls out of the way. Rhett runs kicking Hunt in the back of his head. Rhett pulls him to his feet, he grabs him sending him into the ropes. Rhett hits Hunt with a shining wizard. He pulls Hunt up slapping him across his face. Rhett gets in Hunt’s face, as he stands stunned. Rhett grabs Hunt taking him over with a snapmare. Rhett runs hitting off the ropes, he runs back at Hunt hitting him with a dropkick. Rhett covers him, the referee counts.

Rhett pulls Hunt to his feet, he throws him into the corner. Rhett moves back across the ring. He runs at Hunt, but Hunt moves out of the way.

Cliff Morris - Grayson Hunt moved just in time!

Logan Acker - Give me a break!

Hunt pulls Rhett out of the corner, he pulls him back. Hunt drops Rhett down with a reverse DDT. Hunt rolls Rhett over, he covers him, the referee counts.

Cliff Morris - Another near fall!

Logan Acker - Rhett Phoenix is getting railroaded!

Hunt pulls Rhett up to his feet, he leans over placing him on his shoulders in a fireman’s carry. Rhett slides out of the hold. He runs Hunt into the rope. Rhett pulls Hunt back into a roll up with a bridge, the referee counts.

2.. Kick out!

They both return to their feet. Rhett goes to send Hunt into the ropes, but he reverses it. Rhett comes off the ropes, Hunt grabs him around and plants him down with a tilt-a-whirl DDT. He turns locking on a crossface. Hunt pulls back on it, the referee checks, he jumps up calling for the bell.

Cliff Morris - Grayson Hunt gets the win!

Logan Acker - I think I’m going to be sick!

Hunt rises up, he’s handed the Endurance title belt and raises the belt and his hands high in the air. Hunt turns to the fans as they show their respect. The show cuts to a break.
