The live feed brings us outside of the Gateway Arena and a parking area just as a dark blue rental flies into it. The sedan comes to a dead stop at a curb and the tires squeal. The camera is on the passenger side, so it isn't immediately clear who this is as the driver's side door opens. The question is answered fast when a tall, muscular figure wearing unseasonably cold-weather attire gets out. It's the Weatherman, dressed like he's come from viewing the foliage in northern Vermont. A valet rushes over as Burnside heads to the trunk. The hatch pops open and he hastily pulls out a large bag and his remaining Championship. Burnside speaks to the valet for a brief second then tosses him the key. The Weatherman is in a big rush as he heads up toward the building. This doesn't stop him from taking an extra moment to turn around.
Jackson Burnside: "And that's a rental, ya got it?"
Jackson Burnside heads up to the building in the direction of the talent entrance. He gives the camera a puzzled look but then turns it into a smile.
Jackson Burnside: "Well if you're just standin' around, c'mon walk with me talk with me brother."
The camera man has to move into a brisk pace to keep up with Burnside's walk. Carrying a 50 pound camera doesn't make it any easier.
Jackson Burnside: "Man I tell ya, flight gets delayed, can't get your damn rental. Throws your whole night off. You know me, the Weatherman ain't late for shows. First to arrive, last to leave that's always been my thing. Well it ain't an excuse, and I had a lotta time to think sittin' in the terminal, sheesh. Lemme tell ya."
They enter through a door. There's some crew standing around, chit chatting or taking a short break in-between their tasks. The Weatherman looks around, and makes eye contact with somebody. He snaps his fingers and points.
Jackson Burnside: "You, over here."
The crew member hustles over to Burnside with a light jog.
Jackson Burnside: "I know you. Riley right? Your dad was sick wasn't he? How's he doing?" Riley doesn't even get to respond. "Listen Ryguy you can see the old Weatherman is running late. I need you to do my a solid, well two solids. Go and let the boss know I'm here, and that this TV Title match is gonna happen no matter what. Second, after that I want you to go and find Billy Danielson. Let him know that the Weatherman said congratulations."
Riley nods and makes to leave. Burnside reaches out to grab his shoulder. Riley stops and turns around.
Riley: "Something else?"
Jackson Burnside: "Yeah. Let him know to keep some time open on his calender for the next show. Let him know that the Television Champ wants to have a chat with him, man to man, Champ to Champ. Can you do that brother?"
Riley nods and makes to leave. Burnside reaches out to grab his shoulder again. Riley stops, rolls his eyes, and turns around.
Riley: "....Something else?"
Burnside holds up two fingers.
Jackson Burnside: "Tell him that I'm comin' for him, and ask him to take care of my title. Second thing, don't roll your eyes at me."
Riley manages to leave this time. Burnside watches him then turns to the camera.
Jackson Burnside: "Well come on, title defense to get ready for."

[The backstage area at the Gateway Center Arena in College Park, Georgia is buzzing as the UWL is in the middle of presenting another jam-packed edition of Eruption. The tension is building as wrestler's prepare for tonight's matches, knowing that things are building towards the 18th Anniversary celebration in two weeks in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Starrzone in December in Greensboro, North Carolina. UWL Reporter Abby Joseph is making her rounds when she happens upon #1 Daron Smythe, who is taping up, stretching, and getting ready for his match tonight.]
ABBY: [Excitedly] Ladies and gentlemen, I'm here at UWL Eruption, and the action has been absolutely incredible so far tonight! But right now, I'm about to have a word with a superstar who has been making waves in the UWL. He's none other than #1 Daron Smythe!
[The camera pans over to Smythe, who seems to be in a zone that he almost doesn't even realize Abby is in his vicinity. Daron pauses for a second, looks up towards Abby, and nods.]
ABBY: Daron, if I could have a moment of your time? Tonight, you go one on one with Dave West, and I hate to be presumptuous, but his record has been less than stellar. One has to think this is a step down for you, considering you're coming off a time limit draw with new UWL World Champion, Cory Chevelle...
[Daron flinches a bit as the words "new UWL World Champion" still don't seem to sit right with him. Daron takes a reflective pause, finishes wrapping his right wrist in tape, tears the tape, before taking a deep breath and looking over to Abby to answer...]
DARON: I have to admit, when I checked the lineup for tonight's show, I said "who?!" to myself. Look Dave, I know nothing about you. Is this a step down for me? Maybe. Maybe it's a tune up? I've put my body through hell for the last 18 months for this place - for that [winces again] UWL World Championship you talked about earlier. Maybe it's a step up for you, Dave. A chance to make a name for yourself. Rest assured, Dave, that while I do not currently possess the UWL World Heavyweight Championship, you are talking to the new Franchise Player around here. I was once in your position - and when all these UWL legends and top dogs looked down on me, it only pissed me off. It drove me to scrap, and scrape, and fight, and do whatever it took to get to the top. I was happy to put this company on my back and I'll be happy to do it again. If that means crawling my way back up the ladder - yeah, fair or not, I'll do that too.
ABBY: I know talking about the UWL World Championship strikes a cord with you, but in two weeks time at the 18th Anniversary show, live from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania...
[Daron perks up immediately upon the mention of Philly...]
DARON: Where did you say that show is happening?
ABBY: Philadelphia!
[Daron chuckles, strokes his beard, and speaks again...]
DARON: It wasn't that long ago that I threw a fireball in Nick Danger's face to win that Television Title, right in front of his mom and his brother...and where did that take place, Abby?
ABBY: Philadelphia, I believe...
DARON: Ah yes, the city of Brotherly Love. I've made some memories in Philadelphia and in two weeks time, at the 18th Anniversary show, you can rest assured I plan on making more. People have seen the nice version of me the past few months and I'm more than happy to play that role, but that version of me, the version that is low down and dirty, the version that will do whatever it takes to win, that version of me is still in there. He will definitely come alive when we get to Philadelphia, best believe that!
ABBY: Interesting... we know two weeks ago you went to a time limit draw with Cory Chevelle in your championship rematch and tonight, Cory goes one on one with Rylee Poverly. Your thoughts?
DARON: A few weeks ago, I think Cory called me some combination of arrogant, entitled, maybe even a prick? Brother, I want nothing except what I've earned. You and I both know that your title reign isn't real until you beat me one on one and you said it yourself! So, you do what you've gotta do against Rylee Poverly but just know, I'm waiting, you still haven't beaten me yet. You can pretend all you want but it will eat you up inside until you make it happen. It's the same reason I don't even count my victory against Billy Danielson - I know I didn't do it on my own. There's one money match on the horizon in the UWL and it's you and me, one on one, no time limits, no bullshit. But, let's get through tonight first. After that? My destiny is to be a two-time UWL World Champion, the only variable is time.
[Daron snaps his fingers at the camera and the picture quickly cuts to black.]

The picture cuts across the arena and cuts to the ring.
Emily Lyle - The following contest is set for one fall with a fifteen minute time limit!
“Lazaretto” by Jack White begins to play over the speaker system as the lights dim and the smoke machine starts. Dave West sprints out of the curtain and begins to spin a bit and then takes a knee.
Emily Lyle - From Olympia, Washington, weighing two hundred and twenty pounds, Dave West!!
He smirks as the crowd begins to boo. He pops up and oddly walks to the ring. He appears to be on some sort of substance or possibly inebriated. Dave slides into the ring and climbs the turnbuckle. He spits into the crowd and then jumps down and begins to the run the ropes.
The lights dim in the arena and the words "I AM #1" flash on the video screen...
FORTUNE, FAME
MIRROR, VAIN
GONE INSANE
BUT THE MEMORY REMAINS
The house lights come back up and standing in the center of the stage, holding a single finger high in the air, is #1 Daron Smythe.
Emily Lyle - From Wheeling, West Virginia, weighing two hundred and fifty six pounds, Daron Smythe!!
Smythe looks out at the crowd, some holding up their own version of the single finger salute, as he saunters down the aisle towards the ring, confidently keeping that finger in the air as he steps through the rope and climbs to the second rope in one corner of the ring.
The bell sounds, West runs at Smythe in the corner, throwing wild punches as the bell sounds. Smythe tries to move out of the corner, but West pushes him back, punching away at him in the corner. West goes to bite Smythe, but he comes back with a pair of punches of his own. Smythe turns West around in the corner, gets on the second rope, and looks around, punching away on West.
Cliff Morris - Daron Smythe punching away on Dave West!
Smythe drops down off the second rope. He grabs West, pulling him out of the corner. As he does, West kicks Smythe in the stomach, doubling him over. West runs at Smythe, nailing him with a running knee lift and staggering Smythe. West runs at him, nailing him with a clothesline and sending Smythe down to the mat. West pulls Smythe up off the mat; he pushes him against the ropes, nailing him across his chest with a vicious knife-edge chop. West grabs him around his wrist; he pulls him around to send him into the ropes, but Smythe reverses it; he pulls West around, whipping him into the ropes. West runs back at Smythe; he leans over, flipping West over onto the mat with a back body drop. West stumbles to his feet and falls back against the ropes.
Cliff Morris - Dave West is all shaken up!
Logan Acker - West did take a hard spill after the back body drop!
Smythe pulls him off the mat, and as he does, West leans into Smythe, hitting him in the stomach with a shoulder and taking Smythe down with a takedown. West jumps onto Smythe, punching away at him with violent punches. West rises to his feet, and he stands over Smythe, stomping away on him. West goes back into the corner, moves onto the second rope, and jumps off for a forward elbow drop, but Smythe rolls out of the way as West crashes into the mat. Smythe rises to his feet as West stumbles to his feet, grabbing at his elbow and riving in pain. Smythe lifts West up, throwing him onto the mat with a bodyslam. West stumbles to his feet as Smythe leans over, lifting him up onto his shoulder. He moves toward the corner, dropping West down onto the top turnbuckle with the snake eyes. West flips back over onto the mat as Smythe covers him.
1..
2. Kick out.
Smythe pulls West up to his feet; he leans him over, grabbing him around his head into a front facelock. He lifts West up for a suplex, but he floats around behind him. Smythe turns, and as West nails him in his stomach, doubling him over, he grabs him around his head, planting him with a DDT. West rises to his feet as Smythe lays flat on his back on the mat. West drops to his knees, and he leans over Smythe, nailing him with trapping headbutts. West rises slowly up to his feet as Smythe rises off the mat. West catches Smythe with an enzguri, which staggers Smythe. West grabs him around his arm, sending him down with a side Russian leg sweep. West floats over, covering him.

We cut to the back where BRADDOCK is doing burpies. He is wearing a plain black t-shirt with the sleeves cut off and a baggy pair of grey sweatpants. He stands and gives the camera the side-eye. His head turns slowly with a smirk on his lips.
“Tonight I have the chance to win the Television Championship off of Jackson. Personally, I don’t give a damn if I carry a belt around here or not. That isn’t why I’m in this business. I’m here to fight and should I pick up some gold along the way… even better. More money for me.
Now, Jackson has had that belt for a minute. He has been a good Champ, takin on all challengers and somehow come out on top. Tonight, if I have my way, things will be a lot different. Tonight I send your melon into the fifth row and add that belt to my collection!”
BRADDOCK moves to his right and takes a seat on a bench. Propped up and displayed on his right is the Outcast World Heavyweight Championship while on his left is the E.H.W.F. Showtime Championship. BRADDOCK looks at the one on his left and then his World Championship on his right before his eyes shift to the camera.
“Jenna. Jackson. You two are standing in my way. Tonight, soon, I’m gonna take that belt from you Jackson. I don’t want it. I just don’t want you to have it. I kicked off the ‘Fall of Hate’ by winning a World Championship and I will keep it goin by takin the Television Championship for my own.”
As the camera backs out of the locker room, BRADDOCK drops back down and begins doing more burpies.

AS I WALK THROUGH THE VALLEY OF THE SHADOW OF DEATH
The voice of Lauren Parker-Daniels narrates the video package with the rhythmic soundtrack to “Gangster’s Paradise” playing softly.
“Prepare yourselves for a momentous occasion in the world of professional wrestling! The stage is set, the lights are dimmed, and the anticipation will once again fill the UWL Arena. For the 'Headliner' Robert Daniels, will make his triumphant return to the Universal Wrestling League!”
“Take a moment to reflect on the legacy of the Innovator of Wrestling. Robert Daniels, a name that reverberates through the annals of wrestling history. He has blazed a trail of defiance, success and unmatched skill in his wake. He has etched his name in the record books with multiple championship reigns, conquering the opposition with determination and raw talent. He has stood toe-to-toe with the likes of Robbie Venom, Shawn Stevens, Justin Brooks and Caleb Hart, vanquished them, and solidified his place among the greats.”
“But what is truly awe-inspiring is the fact that despite the passage of time, the years that have ticked away, Robert Daniels remains a physical specimen, an embodiment of dedication and perseverance. The fire that burns within still blazes with an intensity that cannot be extinguished.”
“So, my friends, brace yourselves for a new chapter. He returns to the UWL with a renewed sense of purpose, a hunger for glory that knows no bounds. The crowd will tremble with anticipation as he steps foot into that ring once more, ready to captivate, entertain, and leave an indelible mark on the wrestling world.”
“Prepare for the headlines, the controversies, and the spectacle that only Robert Daniels can deliver. His return to the Universal Wrestling League signifies a new era, a resurgence of a force that cannot be contained. Get ready, for the 'Headliner' is back, and the world of professional wrestling will never be the same again!”

Emily Lyle - The following contest is set for one fall with a fifteen minute time limit!
Paint It Black" (the modern remixed version) by Valerie Broussard plays and the crowd jeers the hateful anti pro wrestling activist turned pro wrestler against her will as she emerges atop the ramp. The hirelings unroll it down the ramp and Sonya makes a speedy trek down to the ring because she does not want to freaking be here. The crowd is buzzing when suddenly the lights go out.

The screen in the arena comes to life and shows resident backstage interview, Abby Joseph, standing with microphone in hand next to the Lightening Express. Both guys have their ring gear on and are smiling for the camera in front of backstage set with the UWL logo in the background.
Abby: "Ladies and gentlemen, I am backstage with Nova and Phoenix of the Lightening Express. Guys, we last saw you at Parade of Champions where you temporarily held the UWL Tag Team Titles before losing them back to Absolution. You've got another match here tonight against…"
All of the sudden, the lights go out in the arena and the feed to the backstage cuts off. Cell phones immediately fire up to create pockets of light, but it's not long before the screen comes back to life. It doesn't show Abby and the Lightening Express though. It shows a name that the fans and viewers have become familiar with over the past couple of weeks.
JOSHUA
The name stays on the screen for a few beats, before numbers join on the screen underneath the name.
JOSHUA
10.28
Both the name and the numbers get a little bit smaller, condensing against each other to fill only the top half of the screen.
Logan Acker: "Well, it's the 28th. Where is he?"
Cliff Morris: "Maybe he's joining us at ringside."
Before the announcers can speculate any further, writing starts to fill the screen under the numbers.
JOSHUA
10.28
That day, Joshua defeated Makkedah. He killed the king and completely DESTROYED all the people in that city as an offering to the LORD; no one was left alive.
The words stay on the screen for a few moments before everything goes back to black. Rumblings permeate through the crowd, some of them yelling out bravely in the darkness. The lights don't come back up, but the monitor does. This time, we are shown the wreckage of the Lightening Express. Nova lies face down, motionless with the UWF logo draped across his back. Phoenix is barely conscious, being held up by two massive men dressed in matching black dress pants and collared shirt. The two men could be related, both with dark complexions and short, dark brown hair.
Logan: "Look at the size of those guys! Who are they?"
They both have their hands on the back of Phoenix's neck as another figure comes into the picture. The crowd immediately recognizes and boos the sight of this man.
Cliff: "That's David Carroll! Carroll is back!"
Unlike the two men holding up Phoenix, David is wearing a white suit, with a green collared shirt. He turns to face the camera, his face filling up most of the frame.
David: "Did you all think that a steel cage would end my time here? Did you all think that a man of great conviction, such as myself, would be deterred by such a set back? Did you all think that the UWL was going to just keep going forward as if David Carroll had never graced you all with his path and his message?!"
David takes a beat, looking over his shoulder as Phoenix was just starting to come to. He struggled a bit, but one of the men holding him grabbed him by the back of the hair, while the other one put his foot against his right knee. This caused Phoenix to kneel, while his head was pulled back to stare at Carroll, who approached him slowly.
David: "That's right. When I am in your presence, you get to a knee. Good, just like that. You shouldn't fight me, like all of them out there fight me. Not anymore."
He turns back to the camera, heaving a sigh and shaking his head before looking back to the men and Phoenix.
David: "I don't think my message is clear enough."
With a simple head nod, one of the men holding Phoenix levels him with a headbutt, causing Phoenix to cry out and cover his face. Now the two men grab Phoenix, one under the left arm and the other under the right, hoisting him up in the air. The camera pulls back a little bit to see a refreshments table set up to the left, as the men begin to move in that direction.
Cliff: "No, no don't do that!"
As Cliff's voice rings out on commentary, the two men toss Phoenix through the table, causing drinks and food to fly in different directions. Off camera, a female screams out as the men stare down at the destruction they've left in their wake. The camera pulls back to Carroll, who is looking straight into it, not acknowledging what just happened.
David: "I tried to open people's eyes to a better way. I really did. The Lord my God KNOWS...that I tried to save them."
The two men now join David on each side of him, expressionless. Slowly, they get down to one knee. David looks at the one on his left, then the one on his right, giving a serene smile before placing a hand on their shoulders.
David: "I tried to save you all. And now…nobody will."
The last thing the monitors show is David Carroll's smile before the feed abruptly cuts out, and the house lights go back on. The crowd is eerily silent at what they just saw with the exception of a few people jeering Carroll.
Logan: "This can't be good, Cliff."

Out here we play for keeps Ain't one of us is innocent We've all got blood on our hands...
Cory Chevelle comes walking out on stage at the Gateway Center arena. The crowd jumps to their feet with boo's as Chevelle stops on stage and raises the UWL World Heavyweight Championship, smiling and taunting the crowd on.
Cliff Morris: Here he comes, THE SILVERBACK!
Logan Acker: Our world Heavyweight champ, no doubt has something to say after the time limit draw two weeks ago.
Cliff Morris: And tonight will be facing off against Rylee Poverty.
Logan Acker: Oof. Doesn't look good for Rylee!
Chevelle walks down the stage and enters the ring. He taunts the crowd a little bit more, then makes his way gesturing for a mic. When Chevelle raises the mic the crowd gives a mixed chant "You're not Caleb" to "CHEVYS GONNA KILL YOU!". Chevelle pauses with the mic, turning as he gauges the crowd around the arena. He slings the world title over his shoulder and raises the mic back up firmly.
Cory Chevelle: He's not here, nor is he your WORLD heavyweight champion! Now the rest of you pie-eyed sonsabitches calm down and shut the hell up so I can get this over with! Don't try buttering my toast because that crap is burnt and it burnt along time ago. Now as first order of business, how bout that trip down Suplex Boulevard for Daron Smythe!
Chevy laughs, walking around in a huge circle inside the ring. The crowd starts booing immediately, and chants for Smythe follow strongly.
Cory Chevelle: So Daron... Am I still not on your level? Because two weeks ago, it wasn't about beating you Daron. It was about proving whether or not you could go the distance and you know what? You failed horribly, jackass, that's what! But listen, I will say... You kicking outta the brainbuster.. that was impressive. Bravo Daron because no ones ever kicked out. But from that point on you put me in a place where I had to break you down and that's what I did. You can't beat me. See folks when Jackson Burnside beat me for the Television Championship, something inside me woke up. I wanted better, I wanted more and I used that to ride right into the world title picture and picked my moment to beat all the top cream of the crop here in UWL. DEAL WITH IT!
Cliff Morris: Strong words...
Cory Chevelle: And look how it's gone for some since. Jackson Burnside has finally lost the Heritage championship, all it took was a number of beatings by yours truly. The weathermans forecast has been more than off as of late you might say. But me? Well hell, I ain't doing too shabby am I? But let's talk current events, let's talk about who my opponent is for tonight. "Rylee Poverly".
Chevy stops and removes his cowboy hat, rubbing the side of his head with the mic.
Cory Chevelle: I don't even know who that is. But the good news is I did some homework and realized; Yeah, it's a real person and she's been here since before me even! People I couldn't believe it. Look, I don't watch everyone's matches but I like to think I pay attention to those who stand out. Sorta like Sonya Benson. That chick got the fricken president to appear in a promo! Or Braddock and his tendency to get disqualified because the stupid son of a bitch can't understand not every match is a Tokyo death match of doom in the dungeon!
So Rylee Poverty, hey, get it? Poverty because her performance is poor and mostly resulted in losses here. Anyway, this dude and I are gonna...
Logan Acker: He doesn't even know Rylee is a woman..haha!
Chevelle notices a fan trying to get his attention calling out 'shes a she Chevy!'. He pauses, then looks away trying not to laugh to himself.
Cory Chevelle: Oh hell no! You got to be kidding me! College Park do you mean to tell me they're sending a lil woman to face me? You got'tuh either be smoking something; and yeah I know grass is getting legalized in more places. ORRR, someone's retarded. Miss Rylee, first off, I'm not sexist, I'll knock a b[DJ SCRATCH]TCH out all the same.
With that, Chevy drops the mic and his music hits as he exits the ring.

The picture cuts across the arena and cuts to the ring.
Emily Lyle - The following contest is set for one fall with a fifteen minute time limit!
The arena's lights fall sending the venue into a pitch black state, the beginning rhythms of "Requiem" hits the arena's sound system. The crowd immediately resounds with a roar of boos. Lights begin to fill through out the arena. Rylee emerges from the back stopping at the top of the entrance ramp.
Emily Lyle - From Atlanta, Georgia, weighing one hundred and thirteen pounds, she is a member of the UWL Six Man Tag Team Champions, Rylee Poverly!!
She turns her back to the crowd as the lights flicker all around her. She makes her way down the aisle waving off the fans extending their hands to tough her. Rylee enters the ring standing in the center of the ring with her arms extended looking out at the crowd.
All lights in the arena dim down
"Out here we play for keeps Ain't one of us is innocent We've all got blood on our hands"
Emily Lyle - Ladies and gentlemen, from Bootjack, Missouri! Weighing in at 287 pounds! He is the UWL World Champion, The Silverback, CORY CHEVELLE!
It's time for reckoning No one will come to your defense We'll cut you down where you stand!
Chevelle emerges from the curtain slowly, staring straight down into the ring as the crowd gets louder.
WHEN YOU FALL DOWN ON YOUR KNEES, BEG FOR MERCY, MISTER PLEASE THE TIME HAS COME TO MAKE THINGS RIGHT THERE AINT NO JUDGE FOR PLEADING TO, WE DONE CONVICTED YOU THE DEVIL GETS YOUR SOUL TONIGHT!
Chevelle slowly makes his way down to the ring, hopping up on to the apron and cranking his neck from one side to the other before entering.
Cliff Morris - We're ready for.......
Chevelle runs at Poverly as the bell sounds clubbing her with repeated shots across her back. He locks his arms around her throwing her with a overhead belly to belly suplex. Chevelle turns and cracks his neck. He jerks her up leaning Poverly over. Chevelle lifts Poverly up and throws her down with a powerbomb. Poverly lays on the mat motionless.
Cliff Morris - Cory Chevelle dominating this match!
Chevelle jerks her up taking her into a front facelock. Chevelle lifts her up and plants her down with the Sliverback Brainbuster. He turns covering her, the referee counts.
1..
2..
3..
Emily Lyle - The winner of this match Cory Chevelle!!
Chevelle takes the UWL World Championship belt throwing it over his shoulder standing with a intense look on his face.
The show cuts to a break.

Jenna Jillian Walker is backstage of the Gateway Center Arena with an angered look on her face.
Jenna Jillian Walker: After our first match up BRADDOCK I believed we found a respect for each other but I keep replaying the actions of Eruption a couple weeks ago and I have to wonder…How is that so?!?! What happened in Chattanooga was uncalled for! Not because we weren’t in a competition but because of the lack of respect you showed by attempting to end my career before it has really gotten to take off. So tonight BRADDOCK the gloves come off and I can assure you that you don’t want a furious Jenna Jillian Walker but that is what you got on your hands! If you think I will allow what you did in Tennessee to happen here then you are sadly mistaken or have eaten more glass than you should have!!!
Jenna takes a deep breath as she puts her emotions in check.
Jenna Jillian Walker: But I haven’t overlooked the primary objective here tonight despite my pent up rage. That is to leave here tonight as the new UWL World Television Champion. Now I realize I am in a hell of a battle since I not only have to deal with BRADDOCK but I also have to deal with a man who turned me away when I attempted to become Heritage Champion. I have to keep in mind that Jackson Burnside is the reigning, defending World Television Champion. I am sure if I were a little less civilized I would try to sell you on some sort of gorilla math of a triple threat match that will live on in infamy due to how ridiculously good it is but I’ll leave that to someone like BRADDOCK.
Jenna shakes her head.
Jenna Jillian Walker: I am a true student of the wrestling game and this championship is one of the most prestigious in all of professional wrestling. Which is why I would love to have this silver and red strap in my hands to claim it as my own. So BRADDOCK can pull any crazy stunts he feels that he needs to do. Jackson can deliver one of his other epic matches that has led him to so much success here in UWL but dammit I have worked my whole life for an opportunity like this. And I firmly believe that in my short time in this industry and in the short time since this match has been announced that I have out worked you both because I truly love this. Which is why I know this process will lead me to the World Television Championship.

Live backstage in the locker room. The Weatherman is seated on a bench as he finishes getting ready for the upcoming title defense. He finishes wrapping some white tape around his wrists. His hair is still damp, his neck and chest still flush pink from a ritualistic, hot pre-match shower. Burnside checks himself over, inhales deeply through his nose and gets to his feet. Of course he wouldn't be The Weatherman without a few things, and so he turns around to the open locker behind him. From it he produces the black leather duster we're used to seeing. He puts it on, first the right arm then the left, before he takes out a dark scarf with a simple pattern alternating purple and blue. He quickly puts the scarf on, just letting it dangle on either side over his shoulders rather than tying it.
There's two things left. First a dark purple umbrella with THE WEATHERMAN written on it, the newest and latest piece of umbrella-related merchandise available online and in the arena. Second is his one remaining trophy. Burnside holds the TV Title in his hand and he admires the center plate. He stares as though he knows it could be the last time he holds it: his first and final title defense. He puts the belt on his right shoulder, keeps the umbrella folded up and in his left hand, and heads out of the locker room.
Jackson Burnside exits the locker room and looks around. He takes another deep breath and begins down the hall. The cameraman walks ahead of him, maintaining a full view of the TV Champ from the thighs up as he makes his way to the ring.
We transition over to the announcers table.
Cliff Morris: - "Folks, we are mere breaths away from the main event. That individual you just saw, the incomparable Weatherman, Jackson Burnside defends the Television Championship in a Triple Threat Match! Who you betting it all on, Logan?"
Logan Acker: - "I don't to spoil my secrets Cliff, but rest assured I got hot tip earlier tonight. I'll tell you who I'm not betting on though. And it's that man! I'm confident Cliff, whether or BRADDOCK or Jenna Walker: new TV Champion tonight."
Cliff Morris: - "It's hard to disagree with you, and Lord knows normally I would. Simply put, Burnside has had an uncharacteristically bad couple of weeks Logan. After he beat Cory Chevelle, who I'd like to remind everyone is our World Champion, and holding both the Heritage and Television Titles he looked poised to do what nobody before him ever had: win every major singles belt in this company simultaneously."
Logan Acker: - "But it came crashing down Cliff! It started when BRADDOCK pinned The Weatherman, proving he could be beaten. What happens right after that? Chevelle and BRADDOCK beat the brakes off of Burnside in the middle of the ring. It's been downhill ever sense. Eliminated first in the Parade of Champions. Loses the Heritage Championship to Billy Danielson. Burnside is an incredible athlete and a gutsy performer, but all great dynastys crumble eventually. Right now I think we're seeing the fall of the Weatherman and a waning of Burnside's dominance over the UWL."
Cliff Morris: - "Gutsy is right, and although it's been a hard couple of weeks, I think that's only going to embolden Burnside and make him that much more motivated to win tonight... Let's look backstage, I think the Champ is almost here."
Jackson Burnside has arrived in Gorilla and he need only take a few short steps to be in the arena. Standing in front of him is Abby Joseph, eager as always to get a final soundbite in before the action.
Abby Joseph: "Weatherman we are moments away from your title defense, a Triple Threat against Jenna Jillian Walker and BRADDCK. You've had a rough go of things over the past few weeks. Anything you want to say before you head out there?"
Jackson Burnside: "Abby, it's like this brother. What happens out there happens. This is a Triple Threat, I know what that means. BRADDOCK can pin JJW, Miss Walker can pin BRADDOCK. Or Hell one of them could just pin me too. I'm not gonna pretend it can't happen because it's been happening a lot! But you know somethin', I'm not throwing in the towel. What kind of man would I be to call it quits when the going gets a little tough? I know the Big Man won't throw the old Weatherman nothin' that doesn't make me stronger. See the facts is dude, we got a bit of a low pressure system right now. Things are bad, been real bad for the Weatherman. The outlook ain't so positive either. I'm gonna go out there, do what I do and whatever happens happens. After all, it only takes a few seconds. JWW up on my back in the Rack, she know's what that's like. Maybe I throw BRADDOCK up there too! Teach a man what pain really is! Or I get 'em laid out, seein' stars in the rafters and I drop a 50 pound hamhock across their chest. Pin 'em for the one-two-three. Walk outta here TV Champ, with everybody knowin' that the Weatherman ain't ready to roll over and die right now."
Burnside smiles. There's a sparkle in his eye and an aura of confidence that he was lacking just a few moments ago.
Jackson Burnside: "Anyone who thinks that my star has stopped burning better watch real close. I mean everybody Abby, but I'm especially talkin' to Billy Danielson. Watch and see, this old weatherman still got some fuel to burn."
He pushes by Abby to make the final steps out to the arena.
