I'm writing this for something that'll make sense later over the next year most likely.
Cory Chevelle is one of the most decorated wrestler's/athlete's in the country. But he wasn't born with a silver spoon in his mouth and had to earn every accolade. From being an NCAA Heavyweight Champion to an Olympic Gold medalist to a multi-time world champion, he's accomplished a lot. But at his roots, he's a simple farm boy from Northeast Missouri.
Cory Chevelle was born as "Cory Stone"(later he legally changed it), son of Roger and Jolene Stone. He wasn't an only child either. Chevelle was the oldest of two brothers and three sisters. His brothers Harley being the second oldest and and Chad being the fourth child right after their sister Emily. After that came the other two girls, Marie and Darlene.
They had a strong family bond and it remains to this day for the most part. Growing up Chevy learned how to work hard rather quickly as he and his brothers had to help with the farm while hmhus sisters helped their mother. Money was usually pretty tight and if they had a bad year it was even tighter. But the land always provided them with the food and resources they needed to get by. Chevy as a kid even had lemonade and ice cream stands in the summer just to help his family earn some extra cash.
They all played sports of some type. Cory and Harley were the wrestlers while Chad was more musically inclined and preferred martial arts. Harley and Cory always had a competition going between the two, each brother always trying to exert dominance over the other. Harley would go on into the military after highschool where as Cory continued to pursue wrestling and combat sports such as MMA. His youngest brother Chad would follow in his foot steps after an international career in kickboxing and law enforcement.
Cory helped his little brother break into the business where both enjoyed success over the years until Chad's life took a dark turn as he ended up getting involved with organized crime and would later be indicted on multiple accounts of racketeering and extortion as well as 18 counts of murder of a rival family. Chad went to prison at the the height of his career and Cory disowned him. Harley still writes his baby brother, and two of the sisters as well but their mother and father took the same stance as Cory.
Moving on to Cory's children, there's Haley, And the twins Kull and Lilith. Haley has taken on the role of management for her father's training camp and career; handling hs booking dates, contract negotiations, etc. His son, Kull, is a young and gifted athlete himself who would follow in his dad and his uncles footsteps focusing on wrestling and martial arts. Currently Kull is in college and fighting for smaller MMA promotions in the Midwest. Lilith, like Haley was more gifted in Music. She's persuing college at the moment as well.
Cory shares his three children with his ex-wife, Anna. The two divorced almost 15 years ago after things went sour due to his schedule. Cory is not in contact with his ex wife as there's still some bad blood from the divorce. Simply put, she tried to do him real dirty and not only go after a fortune but tried to take the kids from him as well. This was a dark and difficult time for Chevelle. Thankfully, he had his old manager and trainer, Frank O'Leary who helped get him through and keep him on the right track of things.
And that's it for now. A brief history outside the ring and accolades of Cory Chevelle. A deeper look into his personal life.
