UWL Saturday Night 2-27-21
Abby Joseph is standing in the ring. By her side is Arch Stanton, pacing back and forth.
Abby Joseph - UWL Officials have met earlier today and have come to a decision. It is my honor to announce that The UWL United States Championship will be defended in a rare 3-Way Match at Only The Strong Survive! Reigning champion Emma Douglas will defend against Jackson Burnside and, with me now – Arch Stanton. Arch, you wanted to make a few comments?
Arch Stanton - Well, Miss Abby – I got my hands full with Rosie Sinn tonight, as you might have heard. She’s got a lesson comin’ her way, and she’s gonna learn it the hard way. We’ll see what she’s made of, what she does after a BIG fall. That might only be a matter of minutes away, but I felt inclined to come out here and make a comment on this…
The crowd boos Stanton as he looks around seriously.
Arch Stanton - It ain’t like I won’t take it, but I ain’t jumpin’ fer joy, either! I know, just like everybody knows, that I’m well suited to be wearin’ that United States Championship gold. Not like that sunuvab*tch Burnside!
Stanton takes the mic from Abby and turns toward the locker-room.
Arch Stanton - Jackson – I want you to listen to me very carefully, you stupid yella dog! You ain’t gonna make yer name offa one measly win over me. That don’t mean you get to share MY spot…
The crowd pops when Jackson Burnside suddenly bursts out from the back and storming down the ramp. The crowd reaction builds with every step toward the ring.
Arch Stanton - Good! Come on down here, you dirty b*stard! You wanna tell me some more lies…
Jackson cuts him off, climbing up onto the apron and into the ring.
Jackson Burnside - I speak for all the brothers here tonight when I say SUCH YOUR DAMN MOUTH!
The crowd pops in agreement, leaving Arch to simmer and mutter under his breath.
Jackson Burnside - You keep saying 'one time one time one time.' My mama said there's no such thing as a lucky shot, Arch. I can beat you a hundred times if I wanted to. I earned this chance, and to be frank I’m just as unhappy about sharing it with YOU! You want to call each other names or do you want to REALLY do something about it?"
Arch and Jackson bump chests and mutter back and forth. Abby bails out of the ring and a referee slides in to intervene. Suddenly, Emma Douglas hops the railing from the crowd. The audience explodes as she climbs the turnbuckles. She leaps off, catching Jackson in the back with a Double Axe-Handle smash! Jackson stumbles forward, forcing both and Arch into the corner and sandwiching the referee.
Jackson falls to his knees and Arch staggers forward – and into Discus Lariat! Emma stands over them, mic in hand.
Emma Douglas - You’re both talking like you’ve already won it – but the United States Title belongs to me! Neither one of you are worthy of a shot at me, as far as I’m concerned. I’m going to keep this title as long as I want to – and I’m not losing it to either of YOU clowns!
Arch pulls himself up with the ropes and takes a swing at Emma. More officials hit the scene and force Arch into a corner. Emma gets a few kicks before being pulled away. Jackson charges at Arch, chopping him hard across the chest. The crowd calls out “Woooo!
Arch nails Jackson with a few jabs and pushes him away. A referee approaches and Arch shoves him to the ground. Emma breaks free and charges into everyone, sending bodies all over the mat and out to the apron. Emma takes a nasty fall after Jackson shoves her to the mat. Jackson and Arch begin slugging it out with heavy blows, starting to cause some damage. Emma intervenes, ducking a punch from Arch and spraying Asian Mist at them both!
Jackson and Arch, their faces stained green, stagger toward the ropes. Arch throws blind punches at anyone comes near, catching a few officials in the process. Jackson and Emma try to fight it out, but are quickly pulled apart. Stanton continues to throw haymakers at anyone around him, finally dropping to the mat and rolling out of the ring. He grabs his towel and wipes the mist from his eyes.
Logan Acker - So THAT’s why he brings a towel to the ring!"
Cliff Morris - This has broken down quickly. Each of these competitors are involved with matches tonight – it’s a good thing order is being restored before any serious damage can be done!
Despite the blinding from the mist, Jackson and Emma continue to shout at each other as they are led away by officials.
Cliff Morris: Ladies and gentlemen, you know we have some exciting stuff heading into Only The Strong Survive. In light of the recent confrontations, UWL officials have made a special change to our upcoming United States Championship match!
A graphic showing Emma Douglas, Arch Stanton, and Jackson Burnside appears on screen. The words “IRON MAN” burst over the image with flame effects.
Logan Acker: Wow!
Cliff Morris: This 3-Way match will be held under 30 Minute Iron Man rules. A super rarity in UWL!
Logan Acker: UWL rolls into Philadelphia on March 20th! Indeed, only the STRONG will survive!

Abby Joseph: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome my guest at this time, making his UWL debut tonight, Troy Martin!
Troy Martin comes into view in his ring gear, green trunks and boots. The words "Power and Money" are written on the back of his trunks.
Abby Joseph: Troy, how are you preparing for your match against Chad Wagner tonight?
Troy Martin: It’s simple. I prepare by being born into the only two things that make a successful person in this country: Power and Money. For those of you who aren’t aware, the Martin Dynasty goes all the way back to 1607, as part of the first settlers that came to Jamestown, Virginia; and while the rest of those suckers were dying from disease, starvation, and Indian attacks, my ancestors were surviving and claiming a piece of America.
That piece has multiplied over the last 414 years, to the point where everything in this country is controlled by the Martins. Every politician, every judge, every board of directors, every institution in the United States is influenced by my family.
When you’re born into that kind of privilege, you have an unlimited number of resources at your disposal, the best that money can buy.
For example, I’m sure Chad Wagner has studied tape of me. That’s great. I’ve studied tape of him, except that I have a team of analysts who study all of my opponents, break down their matches and moves, and recommend a specific strategy to win each match.
Chad Wagner probably went to a wrestling school. I was educated in the art of wrestling as well, but I wasn’t taught by some has-been or never-was instructor who was stealing my money while I was being surrounded by a bunch of wannabe scrubs with the unattainable dream of making it in the wrestling business. I was given one-on-one training with the best wrestling tutors in the world, men with spectacular amateur and professional careers.
Chad Wagner looks like he’s in shape. He looks like he hits the gym regularly. But does he have a personal gym in each of his houses? Does he even own one house? Regardless, I have entire wings in my mansions dedicated to my physical fitness. Not only that, I have my own nutritionist, masseuse, trainer, hell, I even have a personal kinesiologist on my payroll. All of these people ensure that I have the strength, training, and conditioning to be the best wrestler in the world. And, they also make sure that I have the best body in wrestling, too.
He shows himself off and flashes a smile.
Abby Joseph: But Chad Wagner has wrestled all over the world. Don’t you think his experience gives him an edge over you?
Troy Martin: Absolutely not. You know what his travels around the world show me? That he doesn’t have perseverance. He doesn’t know how to stick it out wherever he wrestles; and that’s a shame, because if he’s as reliable a hand as everybody says he is, then how come he hasn’t fulfilled his potential in the wrestling business yet?
Do you think my ancestors at Jamestown had it easy on day one? No. They suffered. They faced setbacks; but like I said before, they found a way to survive and eventually found a way to thrive. If they had just packed up after the first obstacle they encountered, do you think the Martins would be elite of the elite, the 1% of the 1%? Absolutely not! We know how to face challenges! We know how to win!
Then again, maybe Chad Wagner never had potential in the first place. There is such a thing as natural selection. There is such a thing as survival of the fittest. Some people are just born more superior than others. The DNA in the Martin bloodline has been engineered by nature to make us stronger than anybody else, both physically and mentally. It has guided us through our business dealings, our political exploits, the building of our empire. We’ve recognized this since day one and have known exactly how to harness this gift from God himself.
You think Chad Wagner has that DNA? You think he knows how to rise to the top of the food chain? Nah. He only knows how to be a man of the people, of these lowly commoners you see in this arena tonight.
Crows: BOOOO!
Troy Martin: Which is fine. You want to be the pied piper and have your little cult of fans follow you around wherever you go? That’s your business. You can grovel in the gutter for their approval and be their little king. You can have their adulation. Me? I don’t need the approval of people from a lower caste. I’m destined for bigger things. I’m destined for the top. I’m destined to be the best wrestler in UWL. I’m destined to make even more money than I already have. And of course, I’m destined for championships, which is why after I’m done wiping the floor with Chad Wagner tonight and Christos Rousakis at Only the Strong Survive- a pay-per-view name that I can only believe was named in honor of my arrival- I’m going to be watching that Iron Man Match for the United States Championship, because I’ve got my eye on that title.
He points to the crowd.
Troy Martin: There’s one thing you all should know: when a Martin wants something, he takes it. We don’t let the fact that someone else owns it get in our way. My family built the United States from the ground up, and I’m going to honor our legacy by holding the belt that bears the name of the country that we own.
Crowd: BOOOO!!!
Abby Joseph: You own? You can’t own the United States! It belongs to all Americans!
The crowd cheers. Troy Martin smiles.
Troy Martin: Heh. That’s cute. You’ll learn soon enough.
He eyes her up and down one time before walking off camera. Abby is creeped out. The crowd jeers.

Emily Lyle - The following contest is a taped fist match set for one fall with a fifteen minute time limit!
Troy Martin confidently struts to the ring, looking at the fans condescendingly.
Emily Lyle - From Washington, D.C., weighing two hundred and fifty pounds Troy Martin!
Cliff Morris: We're ready to kick off UWL Saturday Night and the last stop before Only the Strong Survive, March 20th on Pay-Per-View. We're about to see two debuts as Troy Martin takes on Chad Wagner.
Logan Acker: - Troy Martin is about to take Chad Wagner to school. This could not be a happy debut for Chad Wagner.
The bell sounds. Troy runs at Chad nailing him with wild forearm strikes. He sends him into the ropes. Chad hits off the ropes. Troy throws him up and over down to the mat with a back body drop. Chad turns on the mat grimacing in pain. Troy runs at him stomping away on him. He stands on his throat choking him, the referee calls for a break. Troy doesn't break. The referee starts his count.
1..
2..
3..
4..
..
Troy steps back with his arms in the air. He turns kicking Chad.
Troy jerks him up off the mat. He leans Chad over, lifts him up and plants him down hard to the mat with a gutwrench suplex. Chad lays on the mat riving in pain.
Cliff Morris: Troy Martin dominating Chad Wagner.
Logan Acker: - Just as I predicted..
Troy jerks him up off the mat. He grabs him and locks on the Power & Money (Cobra Clutch Slam). Troy locks the hold on, the referee checks, Chad taps out. The referee calls for the bell.
Troy jerks Chad around throwing him down to the mat.
Emily Lyle: - The winner of this match Troy Martin!
Cliff Morris: Don't go away we'll be right back after this brief time out.

Outdoors. The sky is overcast with gray clouds settling in above. Rosie Sinn is seated on a concrete ledge. The ledge is too big to be steps, but too small to be a true ledge, likening it more to concrete-built stadium style seating. She has on a black beanie with a Plasmatics patch sewn on it, pulled down over her ears. Her black leather coat looks damped from a slight drizzle, her torn pants loose around her knees. With her elbows resting on her knees, she looks up into the camera.
Rosie Sinn: I would love to have made the trip out to the east coast tonight, but it wasn’t in the cards. Shortly after the last show, I found out I had two broken ribs. I still begged the powers to be to let me part of the show in some capacity, but I was denied. I was told it was a health risk.
Rosie shrugs her shoulder.
Rosie Sinn: I don’t like it, but they’re right. There’s no guarantee of what I’d do if I was at the arena. I showed that at the last show when I defied the orders of the medics and went out there and fought anyway. Did I win? No – but there’s more to this just winning and losing.
Rosie stands up. She walks down one set of concrete seating after another until she’s almost in a punch bowl like area. The punch bowl like area is an old outdoor basketball court. The poles are rusted, rims busted. Grass has grown up in the cracks of the concrete. Laying around, in utter chaos, are busted up boards, molded pads, metal poles, rusted springs, and shredded foam.
Rosie Sinn: I came to UWL because I love to entertain and I love the adrenaline of a match. I wanted to feel that energy of the live crowd as they chant my name, to feel the rush of flying off the top rope and crashing into my opponent. For a drug free person, that’s my drug of choice. It’s my addiction that, no matter how hard I try to give it up, I just can’t. Now, someone has tried to take away from me.
Rosie motions to her ribs, and winces as she does.
Rosie Sinn: Lilith Rising and her sidekick, Jake Mason, decided to take this beyond a wrestling match and make it something personal when they laid hands on my best friend, and then tried to put me on the shelf. Little do they know nothing short of death can stop me. Let me tell you about Lilith. She’s big, she’s strong, she loves a fight, and she can go in the ring. But what adversity has she faced? She was trained in a state-of-the-art gym. She was taught by one of the best in the industry how to cut a promo. Mike Ramsey had her on treadmills, workout regimes with the best weights' money can buy. She had sparring partners, experienced wrestlers, professional rings, vitamin regimes.
Rosie nods to the fishbowl area.
Rosie Sinn: This is The Pit. The Pit was the home to Omaha Backyard Extreme. This is where I learned to wrestle. When Lillith was running the ropes, I was scouring the junkyard and finding cables that could be used as ropes. While Lilith was learning how to take a dropkick while minimizing the impact, I was out here trying to learn on my own how-to hell to even hit a dropkick. While Lilith was learning the best way to take a fall and protect the body, I was getting scrapped up brawling outside a make-shift ring and being thrown like a rag doll on to this hard asphalt. When a hard day's work was over and Lilith was soaking it up in the therapeutic hot tub at Ramsey’s wrestling school, I was throwing peroxide on it and fighting through the pain.
Rosie picks up one of the pieces of a broken board and holds it for a moment then tosses it to the wayside.
Rosie Sinn: Lilith, when your first matches were fought in Ramsey’s independent promotion in Texas, in front of a couple hundred people, I was out here on concrete and bed foam in front of twenty people bleeding for what I was doing. While you were being coached by the best promo guy in the business, I was out here making all twenty people cheer for me because while I may not have always said the right thing, I said it from the heart. See, there’s a difference between me and you. You’re bigger, you’re stronger. You call yourself a bad ass, carry yourself like a bad ass, and frankly, you look like a bad ass. Me, I may be smaller, I may be a former beauty queen turned punk turned wrestler, but there’s nothing soft about me. We’re two of a different breed. You talk the talk, but I walk the walk. You were coddled, nurtured, and given everything you needed to succeed. I was self-taught and waited for nothing to be handed to me, I just reached out and took it.
Rosie rubs her ribs.
Rosie Sinn: You may have thought you took care of your Rosie Sinn problem, but this is what I came up from. I came from nothing to be where I am here today. They not only call me the Queen of Punk, but the Goddess of Hardcore. All you did is piss me off. I signed the release absolving UWL of all liability due to my injury. I’m not missing Only the Strong Survive....despite your best efforts to make that happen. I’ll see you there. Now that – that's punk!
The pretape ends.

“Savage” by Megan Thee Stallion begins to play throughout the arena as the curtain opens and Dayna Grace and Caroline Clarke strut out onto the stage with the curtain closing behind them. Both smile and pose at the top of the stage for everyone’s viewing pleasure.
Emily Lyle - Now making their way to the ring. They are the number one contenders to the UWL United States Tag Team Championships. Dayna Grace and Caroline Clarke...EUPHORIC!
Grace walks slowly up the ring stairs and along the apron turning to looking out at the fans, she strikes a pose on the apron with Clarke standing behind her inside the ring. Grace steps into the ring and two ladies grab a microphone to address the audience.
Dayna Grqce - Since the last time you saw us. We’ve added some new hardware as you can see...
Caroline Clarke is the first to raise her Mainstream Wrestling Tag Team Championship title belt and shortly after Dayna Grace raised hers as well.
Caroline Clarke - We’ll tell all of you in the back the same thing we’ve told all the others. We’re going to make a change and revitalize tag team wrestling here in the Universal Wrestling League.
Dayna Grace - It all starts with the Herkmen! Azalo and Nizbel you think you’ve got one over on us but we’re not afraid of you!
Caroline Clarke - So, you can crawl right back into that “Well of Despair” that you came from and never come back, because we’re the future of this division.
Dayna Grace - But more importantly we’re in the belt collecting business...
“Attack of the Heretics” by Dawn of War II begins to play and the lights dum with a red fog covering the stage. Lotte comes dancing out and she looks around. She looks back and forth, calling “Azalo? Nizbel?” The two green-faced creatures rise out of the mist and crawl to Lotte’s side. She pats them on the head and points at the ring.
Emily Lyle - Being accompanied to the ring at this time by Lotte. They are the UWL United States Tag Team Champions! Azalo and Nizbel...the HERKMEN!
The duo immediately rush the ring, sliding in under the ropes, while Lotte slowly skips to the ring. They chase the ring announcer and timekeeper away. The mayhem only ends when Lotte reaches the ring and beckons them to surround the ring. Grace flips her microphone to the ground and Clarke follows as their ready for a fight.
Nizbel is the first to enter the ring and Euphoric drops their Mainstream Tag Team Championship title belts to double team Nizbel. Azalo takes a moment then pulls Dayna Grace under the bottom rope and outside of the ring. He tosses her violently against the barricade and then against the steel ring stairs!
Nizbel grabs Caroline Clarke by the throat and she scrambles clawing at his forearm and wrist! Lotte sings her instructions to Nizbel. He obliges her demand lifting Clarke high into the air and slams her down hard! Nizbel wastes no time joining Azalo on the outside. Nizbel circles the ringside corner approaching Grace from behind with Azalo running full force landing a running knee to Dayna Grace executing a devastating “Nightmare Melody” on the outside!
Cliff Morris - We’re in for a Clash of the Champions at Only the Strong Survive but I’m afraid this may be too tall of a task for the ladies of Euphoric.
Logan Ackerman - In one week from tonight over in Mainstream Wrestling Euphoric will defend their tag team championships against Immortal Atrocities allies of the Herkmen. That is if they are able to after tonight’s ambush.
Azalo and Nizbel join Lotte inside the ring as their music begins playing once again as the show goes to commercial.
As the camera came up and we see Jessie Roberts getting ready in the locker room ahead of her match. After a few moments she turned and looked at the camera.
Jessie Roberts: So last time out I was successful against Kory Kramp in a competitive match which I like but now I have to follow this up with a win tonight against Christos Rousakis a very large man which I know I have to counter but there is something even more important for me in this match.
Jessie paused for a moment before she continue on.
Jessie Roberts: That is getting a winning streak going. That might sound like a simple thing since I’m a wrestler and you know I should always look to do this. However since I have come back from my injury I haven’t been able to do it. So that why this matter to me.
Jessie then took her finger before pointing at herself.
Jessie Roberts: I have to do this to show that all that work I did to get to this ring was worth it. To show UWL management I worthy of competing for titles. I’m not here to make up number and tonight that’s what I going to do pure and simple.
Jessie then stared down the camera before it cut away.

The feed transitions to the locker room designated for Scarlett and Johnny Payne, otherwise known as the Payne Project. The twins are seated together, looking rather subdued while they are faced with an extremely agitated entourage - Mia Hampton Payne, Johnny Paradise, Seven, Dick Channing, and Izzy High. The very eclectic mix of athletes and friends are all standing in front of them, arms crossed and angry countenances on their faces.
Scarlett’s long, blonde locks are hanging low in a glossy curtain while her foot taps nervously. She finally looks up at them and sighs.
Scarlett Payne: Look guys, we’re sorry -
She’s cut off by Johnny’s wife and her best friend, Mia.
Mia Hampton Payne: You’re sorry?! Sorry? There’s absolutely NO excuse for either of you to end up on a stretcher! That’s why you have US! What don’t you two understand about that?!
Scarlett nudges her brother and drops her voice.
Scarlett Payne: Dude, seriously, can you handle your wife please?
Seven: *grunt*
Johnny Payne: I know big man, but tell her that.
He looks at Scarlett.
Johnny Payne: He says no one can handle Mia. She wears the pants.
Scarlett crosses her arms and shakes her head.
Scarlett Payne: Pussy.
She turns to Johnny Paradise almost pleadingly.
Scarlett Payne: C’mon bro, you know we can handle ourselves. Back us up here!
Johnny Paradise: Dude, you LET them put makeup on you before they telegraphed attacking. Ya’ll are goin’ soft. Not the Scar and Jay I remember.
Scarlett throws herself back against the seat and rubs her eyes. She finally looks at her twin.
Scarlett Payne: I hate ta say it but he may have a point. We’re not hitting our normal level of awesomeness, are we?
Johnny Payne: No, we aren’t, sis. We’ve been rather…gillmen like. I mean it’s been cool and all, but we haven’t even made enough impact to have a tag team match yet on the show.
Dick Channing smiles great big.
Dick Channing: Well if it’s a match ya want, have Scarlett pop out of her top. That’ll do it!!’
Scarlett Payne: Dude! Seriously?! That’s not exactly how I roll and you know it!
She chews on her lower lip for a moment.
Scarlett Payne: What we need is a real match that showcases my bodacious aerial skills and your all around badass moves. Feel me, bro? Ya know, like when Seven and I used ta pull off Seven Levels of Payne. The way you and JP blew everyone away with your mad athleticism and charisma. When we’re together, no one can come close ta us! Besides, we got punked out and ya know we can’t let that slide.
Seven: *grunts*
Johnny Payne: Settle down big man. Don’t think ya can say that on live TV. They’ll bleep ya out. But he’s right. Where we go he goes from now on. I mean he’s 7’4” of pure mean. Loveable, but mean.
Izzy High: What ‘bout me?
Johnny Payne: When you can see clear enough to count how many fingers I’m holding up we’ll talk.
Izzy laughs.
Izzy High: So I’ll just always stay here then.
Scarlett covers her mouth as she giggles. When she finally gets herself under control, she gives Seven a playful wink.
Scarlett Payne: Ya know the main reason ya wanna watch our backs is cause ya love the view back there, dontcha?
She turns her gaze to Johnny Paradise.
Scarlett Payne: So what about you, JP? Ya hangin’ in back or comin’ with?
Johnny Paradise: Ya know I got your back. No worries there. There’s a reason we’re family here.
Scarlett claps her hands together and stands up, pulling Johnny with her.
Scarlett Payne: I couldn’t have said it better, JP. C’mon, give us some love. Ya know ya can’t stay mad at us, we’re too freakin’ adorable!
The entire group comes together in a group hug as the scene fades out.

The interior is the dressing room of Aiden Prince. Seated alone is a man with short brown hair and a five o’clock shadow. He’s leaned back in his chair, feet propped up, with a glass of brandy in his hand when Aiden and his muscle, Desmond Black, open the door. Before Aiden even takes notice of the man he speaks.
David Davies: What do you think you’re doing out there?
Aiden, for once, is speechless.
David Davies: You’re squandering all of it.
Aiden Prince: What are you doing here?
David Davies: What am I doing here? You’re damn right what am I doing here! I shouldn’t have to drive down here from Baltimore, but when you ignore my texts, and send me straight to voicemail, you leave me little choice.
Aiden Prince: Yeah, well, I’ve been busy. World doesn’t stop just because you want something.
David Davies: Busy? Doing what? Feigning PTSD? Making a jackass of yourself? Creating fake belts?
Aiden Prince: I know what I’m doing. You ever thought I have a game plan?
David Davies: To look like a pussy?
Aiden Prince: To find a way to keep myself out of the ring until the title match so I’m fresh! To annoy him and get in his head so he makes a mistake. To put together great television!
David Davies: And that’s something you’re great at, but a man like him, it doesn’t work. You’ve got a great big hoss like him.
David nods to Desmond.
David Davies: That’s muscle and numbers. You should’ve been using that. Some people you can annoy and get under their skin. Some people you can throw off their game with your antics. Other people only respond to violence. People like me, people like Kalidah. But instead of doing that, you are made to look a fool two weeks ago with that little Hotel California fiasco. You knew what you were walking into, and you did it anyway.
Aiden Prince: I was not made to look a fool. I got under his skin. That’s why he did his mojo theatrics and dumped me like that; and I had no clue what I was walking into.
David Davies: How could you have no clue?
Aiden nonchalantly shrugs.
Aiden Prince: I don’t watch the show. I had no clue what Hotel California was.
David gives an angry stare.
Aiden Prince: Why watch it? All that matters is me. The rest of these people don’t own an ounce of talent I do, so why should I bother to give them my attention if it’s not warranted.
David Davies: That’s just it, it is warranted. The more you know, the better prepared you are. The better prepared you are, the quicker you rise to your rightful place at the top. Kid, you still have a lot of learning to do.
That’s when a set of blood red tipped nails curl over Aiden’s shoulder and the voice of Lilith Rising is heard as she leans closer to his ear.
Lilith Rising: Did I miss the spanking, Sparky? It sounds a lot like the old days, huh? Still not quite getting the lessons, are you?
Lilith steps back laughing, a smug smile on her maroon lips as Aiden starts from her unexpected presence.
Aiden Prince: Wrong room. The door out there says Feature Attraction, not Jake Mason lackey.
Lilith Rising: Cute, especially coming from the person not headlining tonight.
She taps her lips thoughtfully with her nail.
Lilith Rising: If I’m not mistaken, Mason just headlined too so out of the three of us - well, you’re ranking below the so called lackey, sweetie. Not a good look for you, ya know.
Aiden laughs.
Aiden Prince: You? Headlining? You do realize this is Women’s History Month, right? So you got thrown a bone for a cause. All you have to do is look to next week. While you spend a Pay Per View fighting a tag team specialist, I’ll be winning a championship. So don’t gloat too much.
Lilith places her hand over her heart and puts a wounded expression on her face for a few moments. She finally steps around him, laughing once more.
Lilith Rising: You wound me, Aiden, really. I mean, not really but I’m supposed to be trying to actually look like it. Like anyone cares about the level of humanity around here.
She shrugs her shoulders nonchalantly and gives David a curious look.
Lilith Rising: Which one are you and why are you wasting your time with the lesser talent?
David sets down his glass and stares at her a moment before speaking.
David Davies: I’m a man not to be trifled with, lass, that’s which one I am. And the lad here…well let’s just say he’s a good friend of the family. Someone I got a special interest in, whether he wants me to or not. You two bickering all the time, you’re f**king idiots.
Lilith rolls her yellow green eyes and shakes her head.
Lilith Rising: He’s a tool and you know it.
She turns her attention back to Aiden with a wry smile.
Lilith Rising: We’ve been bickering for years, it’s a habit. Do you want me to stop, Sparky?
Aiden Prince: I’d much rather you go out there and maybe win a match. That’s a novel idea…maybe test it out.
Lilith Rising: It's not something new for me, you know.
But I don’t expect you to know anything about it. I mean, it doesn’t involve you, right?
She cocks her head to the side as she contemplates her words.
Lilith Rising: For someone who’s supposed to be so smart, you really have some dumbass moments. You’re going at Kalidah all wrong but you’re too delusional to see it. I actually came to talk to you seriously but I can see you don’t want to hear it. Disappointing…
Aiden starts to say something, but before he can, Desmond speaks up, to the shock of Aiden and David both.
Desmond Black: Say what you have to say. He may need to hear it.
She gives Desmond a shocked look before recovering quickly.
Lilith Rising: What I wanted to say was that you need to use the resources you have at your disposal and end that bitch quickly. This is one time that all your talk and bluster isn’t going to cut it. All you’re doing is playing into his comfort zone.
She gives him a serious look and lays her hand on his shoulders.
Lilith Rising: I’m going to deny saying this but you’re better than this bullshit coward act. For once, do what I would and take him out. Do you understand what I’m saying, Aiden? Yeah? Good.
She turns to leave.
Aiden chews his lip then calls out to her.
Aiden Prince: Hey, I’ll return the favor. End Rosie quickly. You let her stick around too long and she’ll be too much to handle.
Lilith gives him a quick nod and smiles.
Lilith Rising: Believe me, I know but thanks. I’m gonna make sure I put that bitch down in record time. Just...remember what I said and you know where to find me if you need me.
She spins quickly and heads out the door.
David Davies: Get your stuff lads. We got work to do.

The crowd lets out a mild pop as John Thompson appears on the screen. He's back in the locker room dressed in his wrestling gear, along with a plain black shirt, and his customary earbuds.
Thompson is partaking in calisthenics, to keep his heart rate up for the match ahead with Jake Mason. Noticing the camera, he removes his earbuds and begins to speak.
John: "The first chapter in my wrestling career is now over. I told everybody that when Ryland Moore chose to chokeslam me over the top rope, that I was going to kick his ass.
He decided to keep adding fuel to the fire, and I kept deciding I was going to kick his ass.
Two weeks ago we're set to have that last man standing match. I was hungry. I was waiting. I wanted blood, but in a cruel twist of fate Ryland Moore shows that he has no heart.
A few punches and the greetings from Vegas were all it took to put him down for the ten count.
I confess myself disappointed. After everything he put me through, it took me less than 30 seconds to topple the giant.
So now it's time to move on with you Jake Mason. I'll see you in the ring."
With that John turns his back on the camera, and continues jogging in place.

Grainy footage rolls, showing highlights from Arch Stanton’s colorful career. “The Shadow Knows” by Link Wray drifts in like cigarette smoke. Early matches in Dallas, wild brawls up and down the East Coast, bleeding buckets in Japan. T-Shirts, 8x10’s, championship belts. The clips surf through the years, spotlighting Stanton’s capacity to both give and receive heavy punishment.
All my life, I’ve been chasin’ the BIG FIGHT. I left home, I was raised on the road – I saw the old timers an’ what made ‘em tick. I set up the ring. I hosed down giants. I paid my dues to enter an elite brotherhood – an’ now I wear the badge, brutha!
It is very true that Only The Strong Survive. Philadelphia is a great town to prove that point. Brawlers, bruisers, an’ boozers. From the slime in the streets rises a righteous spirit. For every bad call at a baseball game, for every guy that says ‘What the f*ck are you lookin’ at?” Like Rocky Balboa, who risked blindness because he was good for nothin’ else. Who risked his family an’ his fame to go to war time an’ time again. Who kept going long after his prime years, who risked his very life to take a swing?
History is littered with men like that. Men who hang on, who cling a life of battle – even when it does them harm. They break themselves for a taste of the divine. The Vikings. The Alamo. Terry f*cking Funk.
The old territories were full of them. I was young. I didn’t understand. I’d watch these old dudes, covered in blood and strugglin’ to breath. I’d see them lay down and die on the cold tile floor of the shower. I couldn’t understand why these men marched into the fire.
Then one night, Roscoe Douglas taught me a lesson. I beat his old ass around the building, I spilled his blood. Just when I thought I’d put him away, he clocked me between the eyes. I stumbled back and turned around. He broke a bottle over my head. I knocked over a trashcan and laid amongst the garbage. Ol’ Rosco stood over me with that broken bottle, screamin’ an’ bleedin’…
It hit me like a lightnin’ bolt right between my eyes. It rang through me an’ my blood ran cold. It was uncanny. It was religious. It was everythin’ I ever heard the preachers sayin’ at every tent revival. It was miraculous. It was sweet pain. The kind that made the lame walk. The kind that took run down, pot-bellied old vets, with their twisted knees and warped muscles – an’ made ‘em into the most dangerous sunsa-b*tches on God’s grey Earth…
There were guys that could barely walk across the parking lot. Nasty bastards, old beyond their time. They groaned their way offa the bench an’ limped down the isle. When that bell rang, they went to war. Like a junkie. Like a drunk. They wanted every last drop – an’ they walked through fire to get it.
They couldn’t help themselves. They had to have it. They needed to feel the flame. To test the limit. It was their devotion. Their communion. It may seem funny to an outsider, to someone who doesn’t understand…
… but I understand. All my life, baby. All my life. I’ve been anointed, baptized in fire – burned by the heat of battle. I’ve seen the face of God. From the first swing I took at my father, to the nasty sh*t I’m gonna do to Emma and Burnside in Philadelphia. For another 5 or 10 years after that. Maybe more. Maybe less!
There are mysteries not known to the uninitiated. There is a seduction to savagery. A beauty to brutality. Damnit, there is a supernatural euphoria! Broken bones. Shattered dreams. Glory. Danger. Fear. The Piledriver. If God rules all below him, then he rules these things as well.
There are people like Jackson Burnside, like Emma Douglas… lost souls up an’ down the roster here in the U-Dubya-El… people who can’t understand that what I’m doing is a Holy thing. Like any preacher, like any priest. Like the heroes and legends of our time and of antiquity. You might be in it for money. For stardom. For your picture in a magazine. Me? I’m here to fight.
The screen shows footage from more recent confrontations. Arch winning the Television title, fighting Robb Daniels, striking the referee, nailing an opponent with The Piledriver.
This train may have wear an’ tear, but she ain’t come off the tracks yet. I run the miles. I make the towns. I walk through fire to get to the showdown. Can Chris Crippler burn me hot enough? I’ve been up against the Tic-Tics, an’ the McConnells, an’ Kanes – I’ve clashed with the best the U.K. has to offer, an’ now I’ll clash with YOU!
We’ll burn together, Chris. We’ll set North Carolina aflame! You’ve been in this game just as long as I have – you know about the passion. You know about the blood, the sweat, the tears. You know about VIOLENT PRAYER. The spirit’ll be with us tonight, brutha – we’re gonna do a dance that will please the Lord. Goddamnit, we’re gonna FIGHT.
Everybody tune in. Watch real close. You’ll see how I wear the miles. You’ll see how I kiss the flame. Yer gonna learn somethin’ about terrible beauty, an’ yer gonna know that Arch Stanton is an Iron Man.
The screen and music fade back to the announcers at ringside.
Cliff Morris: Indeed, Arch Stanton is a dangerous - and possibly twisted - individual. He'll take on Jackson Burnside and United States Champion Emma Douglas in a special 3-way Title Match...
Logan Acker:... held under IRON MAN rules! This will be a barn-burner!
Cliff Morris: Stanton, of course, will be in action shortly against another decorated ring-veteran - "The British Legend" Chris Crippler!

Cliff Morris - John Thompson is set to take on Jake Mason in our next match up. Both are heading to Only the Strong Survive with huge matches ahead of them.

John sends him off. Jake hits off the ropes. John takes him down with a shoulder block. John jerks him up and takes him into a headlock of his own. Jake hits him in his lower back with a pair of forearm strikes. John stumbles off. Jake nails him across his back with a pair of clubbing shots across his back. Jake spins him around raking his eyes. He grabs him around his head taking him down with a swinging neckbreaker. Jake covers him, the referee counts.
1..
.. Kick out!
Jake goes back into the corner. John rises up off the mat. Jake runs at him, John dodges out of the way. John runs at Jake hitting him with a running forearm strike that stuns him. The feed segues to the back hallway of the PNC Arena in Raleigh, NC. Intrepid reporter, Abby Joseph is standing by with the 6 foot tall Salem native, Lilith Rising. Lilith is clad in black leather pants paired with her trademark black and metallic red half shirt that reads “Chaos is Rising “. Her short blonde locks are slicked back and her yellow green eyes are blazing proudly.
Abby turns to the camera with a bright smile.
Abby Joseph: Hello UWL fans! I’m Abby Joseph and I have the pleasure of bringing you an up close insight with none other than the Perfect Storm herself, Lilith Rising.
Abby turns her attention to Lilith as she moves into the interview.
Abby Joseph: Thank you for making the time for this, Lilith. I know you have a main event to prepare for so I’ll cut right to it. I know you’ve faced Jackson Burnside before, so what I’d like to know is how you’re feeling about tonight?
Lilith crosses her arms underneath her ample bosom and rolls her eyes.
Lilith Rising: That’s your big question? How do I feel about facing a man I’ve already beaten? How do I feel? Bored is how I’m feeling right now. Why is everyone concerned with feelings? They’re a weakness - that’s all. They’re inconsequential when you do what I do.
Abby looks taken aback but quickly recovers.
Abby Joseph: When you say “do what you do “, are you referring to your actions against Flipp Haze and Rosie Sinn? Because I have to say, that was reprehensible in my opinion.
Lilith’s brows raise in curiosity as she leans against the wall.
Lilith Rising: Reprehensible? That’s a big word coming from you. But sure, we’ll go with it since you used it correctly. Did I have to do what I did? No, not even remotely. I did it because I could, because it was fun, and mainly because it pissed her off.
Lilith drops her arms, placing her hands on her hips as she stands. She looks down at the smaller woman with a smirk.
Lilith Rising: I’m sick and tired of listening to Rosie bump her gums about how I had everything handed to me. How she came up learning to wrestle in some backyard concrete outlaw promotion while I had the privilege to learn from the best this industry has ever seen. And the sad thing is, she’s friends with Mike Ramsey, so if she wanted to, she could’ve asked for help. But what she doesn’t realize is that just being in his school wasn’t enough to make me who I am.
Abby Joseph: If you don’t mind, could you elaborate on that please?
Lilith Rising: It’s simple. I am a superior athlete in every way. I work my ass off in a “state of the art” gym every day. I keep to my regimen without fail. I’m not gonna apologize for being better, for having better because that’s just playing into her whole “victim” mentality.
Lilith let’s a malicious, sadistic smile curl her maroon lips.
Lilith Rising: But at Only The Strong Survive, Rosie is going to know exactly how it feels to be a victim - my victim. She’s going to step into the ring with the new evolution of pro wrestling - the Prototype - and I am going to do it in record time. Now get out of my face before you piss me off.
Lilith shoves the microphone away and stalks out of frame, leaving Abby stunned.
Abby Joseph: Strong words from a strong woman.
She goes to cut and speaks to herself.
Abby Joseph: The Prototype...I like it.

Backstage, we open to a wrestler getting ready for their match. You can already sense the arrogance from here, which means it can only be one person. The self-proclaimed Great of All Time and supposed Face of the Franchise, Billy Danielson, is stretching before his contenders match. The camera zooms in on him as he stops, and he happens to notice that the camera is near. He looks at it with a smirk and flexes a bicep for the camera.
Billy Danielson - Look at these gains and veins...
He goes through the whole Arnold flex pose gauntlet for a moment.
Billy Danielson - Look at me and how great I look...
Danielson takes one last moment to admire himself before he stops posing and continues with his promo.
Billy Danielson - Look at me, and how hard I work on myself to make sure I look the part of a World Champion for UWL. Look at me, then look at my opponents, and explain to me why I have to face a no-name cage fighter who trains in his buddy’s garage and couldn’t even find work in the U.S. as an MMA fighter, and a guy who looks like some second string quarterback from some suburban shithole in Texas. You can’t…
Billy puts his hands up.
Billy Danielson - For weeks now, I’ve been talking about how James Edwards doesn’t deserve all these chances because all he does is whine and complain. For weeks, I talked about how James Edwards couldn’t handle losing to me, so he undermined our world champion so he could get his way and get some stupid collar match because of how fragile his ego was.
He pauses for a moment…
Billy Danielson - I proved that James Edwards has never been anything other than a fragile boy who would sooner quit a company when on a downswing, rather than persevere and build himself into a true franchise like myself.
Billy smirks.
Billy Danielson - I’ll tell you right now, James Edwards wasn’t the one that made Casey Holliday look week last month. James Edwards wasn’t the one who beat Owen Daniels so bad that he’s considering changing his last name. James Edwards is the guy that struggled to beat Big Daddy Emma, and was in a match that I don’t even remember because that’s what James Edwards is… unmemorable.
He scoffs.
Billy Danielson - I’d start talking about John Thompson, but other than knowing that his entire gym was blacklisted and they ran away to Abu Dhabi because of a roids scandal, I didn’t even know he worked here. I don’t see John making the current World Champion run scared or making former World Champions cry about how bad I beat them. I’ll never know the reason why he’s in this match, but I guess it won’t matter when I’m the #1 Contender, huh?
Pausing for a moment, as if waiting for someone to agree with him. He has a smirk on his face.
Billy Danielson - But I guess that’s what brings me to my original point. Look at me and the way I look and the way I act. Then look at Jimmy and that other guy, and how they look and how they act. One of them has been on the lips of every UWL fan for the past few months, and the other two… are Jimmy and that other guy. There’s really no comparison. I look, act, and embody the role of World Champion, they do not.
Billy scoffs at the idea of James Edwards and John Thompson as possible #1 Contenders or even World Champions at that. He can almost visually see the downfall of the UWL World Championship lineage with either of them touching that belt, and it almost makes him angry. You can see that flash of frustration on his face as he continues on.
Billy Danielson - It almost makes you wonder why this match is even necessary...
Billy shrugs, like he was actually pondering such an idea.
Billy Danielson - Like, James Edwards can’t beat me in normal singles actions, and… that one guy… errr… you get the point. If I can’t remember his name, why does he even need to be here? I am the only right answer. I am the only one that will be something more than just another padded defense for Casey Holliday and her self-destructive insecurities.
Another pause
Billy Danielson - What would they even do if they got that title anyways? Will James run off for another year once he loses it again? Drop the title to another lame duck champion like Gentry McCray was? Pathetic. The other guy can’t even leave a lasting impression, let alone an impressive title reign.
A cocky smirk comes across his face
Billy Danielson - And that’s why I am GOING to win here tonight. There’s no other option. There’s no one else to bet on. There’s just me and that’s it.
That cocky smirk gets even cockier.
Billy Danielson - And when AJ wins the title, it’ll be Mainstream’s Franchise team dominating another main event scene, because we know our worth, and it’s better than everyone else.
Billy nods in the confidence of his position, as he is signaled that his match is coming up soon. Danielson was about to set out to prove that he’s the only person in this company that is worthy of a title shot, as he pushes past the camera and off towards his destiny.

The Burning Heart" James Edwards walks backstage just minutes before his fight with Justice Cross.
James Edwards: Success in this sport ain't hard to come by, all you gotta do is win, man.
He checks his blue and black MMA gloves.
James Edwards: And who's been on a bigger winning streak than me over the last few months? Nobody comes to mind.
Content that his gloves are properly fitted, he zips up his sleeves track suit jacket.
James Edwards: I've put down Billy Danielson, Emma Douglas, Arch Stanton and Kalidah. Two Champions and two top ranked contenders. I didn't cheat or use stall tactics. I took it straight to each of em' and in the end I got rewarded with the chance I've been askin' for since I came back to the League.
He rounds a corner. The sound of the crowd is audible.
James Edwards: It'd be easy to act cocky and overlook Justice Cross. I don't know much about the guy and she doesn't have the name value of my previous opponents. What she does have is a chance to make a statement. She beats me tonight and she's a made woman. I've fought too damn hard to get where I am by taking my eyes off what's in front of me.
He pulls his hood up and arrives at the stage entrance.
James Edwards: That's why for the next few minutes Cross has my full attention and once I'm done with her, it's full steam ahead to one of the biggest nights of my career.

The spot light dims as the arena lights brighten. John circles the ring a few times before settling into his corner.
Cliff Morris - John Thompson is set to take on Jake Mason in our next match up. Both are heading to Only the Strong Survive with huge matches ahead of them.
The bell sounds. Both men move from their corners, slowly circling one another. They lock up into a collar and elbow tie up. Jake takes John into a headlock, wrenching his arms around his head.
He grabs him and throws him down with a belly to belly suplex. John rises up off the mat and jerks Jake up and sends him down with a suplex. He floats over covering him, the referee counts.
