Emily Lyle is standing alone center ring. The lights have been subtly dimmed.
Emily Lyle: - "Ladies and gentlemen please welcome, for the first time in 2022, the new UWL World Champion, Jackson Burnside!"
The lights dim further and the ring goes so dark you can hardly see Emily. The cameras change to those focusing on the aisle. Nothing happens. Just a still shot on the aisle as the crowd starts up a "Jackson!" chant. The chant gets louder and louder as the anticipation builds up.
HEY, YEAH! I'M THE ONE THAT YOU WANTED!
HEY, YEAH! I'M YOUR SUPERBEAST!
All the lights point to the entranceway and begin to strobe quickly. The lights flicker so quick it is nearly impossible to see Jackson as he steps out from the back. After he spends a minute at the top of the entryway hyping up the crowd the lights stop strobbing and remain light up. Jackson does not have the UWL Championship belt with him when he starts to walk down the aisle. He stops, looks around and tells the crowd to wait. Jackson dips into the back again and emerges ten seconds later holding the UWL World Title belt high in his right hand. He isn't shy about walking to both sides of the entryway and posing with the belt. After this he returns to the middle. Jackson raises the belt high into the air with both hands now. The lights start strobing again as he holds the pose for a long time.
Cliff Morris: - "December 18th, 2021 that man became the UWL World Champion at Starrzone. Jackson Burnside, holding the belt high over his head."
Logan Acker: - "Later tonight we find out who his first challenger will be Cliff - a fatal four way which includes the new US Champion, the TV Champion, Chris Madison, and the last guy you never want to count out, Billy Danielson."
Cliff Morris: - "Right now it's about that man."
A spotlight follows Jackson as he makes his way down the aisle. He slaps hands with every fan he passes by, showing off the title belt to people as he goes. Jackson crosses the aisle and gives some love to the people on the other side. He continues to make his way around the ring, moving along the barricade and interacting with as many people as possible. Jackson soaks in the moment. He moves around the ring with the intention of making this last as long as possible. He high fives a young boy and girl, probably siblings, stops to show off the belt to a group of young ladies in the front; even going as far as to let one of them touch the centerplate.
Logan Acker: - "He's gonna be out here all night at this pace."
Jackson takes a selfie with some young men in the row. Now that he's finally had his fill we need to get the night rolling. So Jackson heads over to Emily Lyle, who is now at ringside. They say a few things to each other, and the conversation ends with Emily handing the new Champion a microphone. Jackson walks up the steps, enters the ring between the ropes, and moves to center ring. "Superbeast" stops playing and the music is replaced with the sound of the crowd cheering. Jackson adjusts the belt from one shoulder to the other.
The crowd bursts into a cohesive "Burnside!" chant. Jackson slowly nods, taking it all in. The chant tapers off. Jackson brings the microphone up to his mouth and stops. He lowers it and shouts "COME ON!" Jackson drops the microphone down and begins amping up the crowd. He's trying to get them going and they burst into cheers again. Jackson grabs onto the top rope and begins stamping his feet. With each stamp the crowd gets louder and louder.
Cliff Morris: - "Burnside trying to lead the crowd."
Logan Acker: - "This is ridiculous. We have matches to put on!"
From somewhere in the crowd a "you the champ!" chant starts. It only lasts a few seconds, never really picking up steam and sputtering out. Jackson decides too take time to climb each turnbuckle. In each corner he raise the belt high into the air; a pose he holds for quite some time. In each corner the crowd pops a little more, and at the fourth they kick up another "Burnside!" chant. He moseys back to the middle of the ring and he picks up the microphone. He has to once again adjust the belt to fit over his right shoulder, and the crowd transitions into a "UWL!" chant. Jackson nods his approval: mouthing the letters and pumping his fist each time. At long last they taper off.
Logan Acker: - "About time."
At long last Jackson brings the microphone up to his mouth. He's cut off as the crowd begins a slow, methodical "speech!" chant.
Logan Acker - "HE WAS ABOUT TO!"
Cliff Morris: - "Would you calm down?"
Jackson looks around. He says "I'm trying." and he walks in a small circle around the ring smiling. He doesn't seem to be in a hurry however, as he decides to whip them into a frenzy again. With some simple gestures and playful behavior the crowd gets warmed up for the third time, breaking into a chant of "Jackson Burnside!" followed by five claps. He leads them, clapping after each repetition of his name. After a few he stops, walks forward and leans on the top rope. He can be faintly heard saying "you guys are nuts!" He returns to the middle of the ring. He stands feet apart, shoulder-width starring directly toward the camera.
As the crowd finally starts to die down agian again he gestures for the camera man to come closer. Jackson lowers the title belt off his shoulder, and then holds it up next to his head with his right hand. The straps hang loosely at either side, but the beautiful shined center plate is centemeters away from Jackson's head. The camera is so close you can't even see what's behind Jackson or his title belt. He glances between the camera and the belt a few times. Then, holding the pose, he brings his left hand and the microphone up to his mouth. He holds it there for awhile, letting the arena go quiet before speaking.
Jackson Burnsisde:
"Come try and take it."
He throws the microphone down as "Superbeast" starts up."
Logan Acker: - "That was it?!"
Jackson climbs out of the ring and walks backward up the aisle. He holds the title belt high over his head, beating his chest with his free hand.
Cliff Morris: - "That's all it takes. Five words. 'Come try and take it.' That, folks, sums up the new World Champion."
Jackson poses at the top of the aisle, belt high in the air, as we go to a break.

Earlier in the day
“Enforcer” Anthony Cross is walking into the State Farm Arena alongside the UWL World Tag Team champions, The Vixens, who each have their respective tag team title belts draped over their shoulder.
Brianna Matthews: Do either of you know if Chris and Shelby arrived yet?
“Enforcer” Anthony Cross: I talked with Chris briefly a little bit ago. They got here earlier to prepare for their respective matches.
Justice Cross: We should go and start getting ready too, Brie.
Brianna Matthews: You’re right, girl. Let’s go.
Justice Cross gives Anthony a peck on the lips.
Justice Cross: See you later, babe. Good luck tonight.
“Enforcer” Anthony Cross: Good luck, ladies.
Justice and Brianna walk away as Anthony casually walks along.
“Enforcer” Anthony Cross: As hard as I have fought to come back to this point after my injury at Starrzone 2020 I have to admit when I came up short against Rock a couple weeks in my effort to reclaim the World Television title there was a bit of self doubt that snuck into my head. But I had to remind myself that I didn’t sign to UWL a few years ago. It wasn't just to become World Television Champion, or even the United States Heavyweight champion. I, like everyone else, came for that top prize that currently Jackson Burnside gets to gloat that he has in his possession. That of course is that World Heavyweight title. That is what wakes me up every morning earlier than most people to put the time in the gym and make sure that I am ready to step into the ring. Now I can wish, bitch, and moan about wanting to be the World Champion or I can set my eyes on the big upcoming tournament that will be happening sometime in the next few months. That’s right, the 2022 Coronation Cup. As we all remember I came ever so close to winning the Cup a couple years ago. Best believe I’ll be ready for the Coronation Cup when it comes around.
Anthony arrives at his locker room and walks through the door. He sets his bag down on a close by chair.
“Enforcer” Anthony Cross: Tonight though I look to get back on the winning track and inch my way closer to the World Title. Tonight I go one on one with the aerial wizard, Ace Sky. From the little I know of you, Ace, is that you are a hell of an athlete with a high mental equity. I believe I heard you are in Mensa, correct? To say you probably have had a lot of pressure thrust upon you from other people’s expectations would be an understatement. Must be one of the reasons why you have picked up surfing and yoga…to escape the pressures of everyday life. But my friend, with all of your talent and intellect, I am stopping at nothing to reclaim the spot that I think I should be at. It is nothing personal. It is just business.

Jenkins goes after her, she leans over nailing her in her stomach with a shoulder, he stumbles back. Cross pulls herself up and runs at Jenkins nailing her with a roundhouse kick which stuns her. She steps back, runs at Jenkins sending her down with a shining wizard. Cross grabs Jenkins taking her over into a roll up cradle, the referee counts.

The camera focuses back in on Cliff Morris and Logan Acker as they grin into the camera.
Logan Acker: Ladies and gentlemen, what’s old is new and what’s new is now. One of the biggest stories coming out of Starrzone was not just a new World Champion in Jackson Burnside.
Cliff Morris: That’s right, Logan. In a match that will go down as one for the ages, our incumbent Champion, Chris Madison, found himself up against the UWL Hall of Famer and a man that has boasted a stellar win-loss record since returning back home, Caleb Hart. Folks, if you did not have a chance to see this one live, we can say with confidence that you missed two of the absolute best in the world show up and put on a show.
Logan Acker: And put on a show they did, Cliff. But when the show was over, it was Caleb Hart who walked away with the United States championship. Right now, Abby Joseph and standing by with the man himself. Take it away, Abby!
Abby Joseph fades into view with Caleb Hart, dressed for the ring as he holds the United States Championship over his shoulder, the kinesio tape on his other shoulder wrapped heavily. Caleb stands there, continuing to wrap his wrists as Abby begins speaking.
Abby Joseph: Ladies and gentlemen, I am here with the new United States champion, Caleb Hart.
The crowd cheers his name, a small grin showing across his face as he hears them, nodding slightly in acknowledgement.
Abby Joseph: Caleb, congratulations on your win at Starrzone. Many fans are calling it one of the best matches over the year. How do you feel coming out of Starrzone and ready to move on to the next challenge.?
Caleb smirks.
Caleb Hart: To be perfectly honest, Abby, I’m feeling like a man that is every bit of the old man that I’ve been accused of being since I’ve gotten back. My back is hurt, my shoulder is busted the hell up. I’ve got a little more gray at the temples than I want but all of that goes away…
Caleb drops the United States championship from his shoulder and holds it up to the microphone.
Caleb Hart: When I show this off to the world, proving once again that I am a champion here in UWL and every bit as good as I have long said I am. Take nothing away from Chris Madison. Full disclosure, while I was confident going into the match that I could and would beat him, I’ll be damned if he didn’t hit me hard enough to make me question some key life decisions. Chris Madison is everything he says he is and then some. He’s a tough SOB that beat the hell out of me, but when push came to shove, I was able to dig down deep and find that little extra, find that little something that allowed me to show the world once again that I am the best wrestler in the world. And make no mistake about it. This right here?
Caleb knocks the belt.
Caleb Hart: This is proof. But I need to be honest, Abby. I thought winning this belt would be like winning the World Title – an honor that I’ve had multiple times in my career. But when that bell rang and I was handled this title, I didn’t feel that reaction, that life toppling change. I didn’t feel that world changing feeling that I’d had in the times that I had won the World, Triple Crown, or any other variation of the title that our current champion Jackson Burnside has. When you win that title, it’s like the journey is over. You’ve finally accomplished everything that you’ve ever wanted. It’s the gold at the end of the rainbow. But this?
Caleb puts the title over his shoulder once again.
Caleb Hart: This isn’t the end of the road. When I won this championship, it was like I traded in glory for a shovel. Because winning this title puts me in the same class as a Chris Madison and those who have held it before; those for whom holding this title meant every bit as much as holding a World title. This isn’t an accomplishment…it’s a promise. It’s a promise that the man that calls himself United States champion is the hardest working man or woman in the entire company.
The crowd cheers loudly.
Caleb Hart: This title is the one that will define my career because I wasn’t looking for the end of the rainbow, or my just rewards. I was looking for that next hole to dig because to hold this belt means that the work has only just begun. I am not a washed up legend, someone who came back for a quick glory run.
Caleb smirks at Abby, he stoic face being the perfect foil for the continued low boiling intensity that emanates from Caleb.
Caleb Hart: I am Caleb god-damned Hart and I am the measuring stick of this company and this industry. It’s a mantle I take proudly from Chris Madison. You think you’ve seen the best of Caleb Hart? You haven’t seen nothing yet.
The crowd cheers loudly, chants of Caleb ringing through the arena.
Abby Joseph: Speaking of the future, Caleb, tonight you are going to be in a Number One contenders match for the UWL World Heavyweight Championship. Many have you pegged as the odds on favorite to win this match. What are your thoughts heading into it?
Caleb shakes his head.
Caleb Hart: Abby, my thoughts are that whether I’m defending my title or looking to become a double champion here in UWL, my focus never shifts. Tonight, I step into the ring with some of the best that UWL has to offer. But make no mistake about it, I am the best that UWL has to offer. And after I win tonight, may God have mercy on Mr. Burnside because He knows that I won’t. As for the rest of the UWL roster…take a good long look at this championship. Unlike most people, I know exactly what it takes to be the best in every single division at the same time. And whether I’m going for the World title or defending the United States championship, Caleb Hart brings his A game and pours everything that he has out in that ring every single night. So whether I’m facing Jackson Burnside or James Edwards…Autumn Raven or Brody Stoll…Billy Danielson or Cartier…the path to greatness comes through Caleb Hart…only I’m not walking around as the gatekeeper. I’m the damn gold standard. Whether I’m 25 or 45, this one thing will remain true – I am Caleb Hart. I am the measuring stick in this business. And there isn’t a man or woman alive who is going to stop me from being the absolute best that this company and this business has ever seen.
The crowd cheers loudly, as Abby smirks ever so slightly.
Caleb Hart: Now if you will excuse me, I hear ibuprofen calling my name and my joints telling me to save it for the ring…
Caleb winks at Abby as he walks off.
Abby Joseph: Guys, take it from the horse’s mouth…Caleb Hart has just put the whole roster on notice. He says he’s the best, prove him wrong. He’ll be featured in our main event! That match is coming up later on tonight. Let’s head back to the ring!

Abbey Joseph is backstage with Duke Rogers and Rock Stone. Stone looks like a million dollars, his stature especially mountainous. Duke wears a yellow polyester suit jacket with red pants. He chomps an unlit cigar and holds his lapels while Abbey introduces them.
Abbey:
I’m here with The UWL Television Champion Rock Stone, and his manager Duke Rogers. Duke, you appeared to be hurt during your altercation with Anthony Cross, but made a miraculous recovery while getting involved with the title match the followed. Can you tell us what this means?
Rogers waves away the original question and makes elaborate gestures at the camera while he speaks.
Duke:
All it means is that he’s a dumb sunuvab*tch. It’s ancient history, right? You wanna ask me about what you already saw – but I wanna talk about what’s gonna happen TONIGHT!
Duke laughs and Stone nods his head.
Duke:
You already saw this man win The UWL Television title. You already saw this man defeat a highly respected contender. You, and all the people – you saw it with your OWN EYES! Don’t doubt your senses, kiddo – it’s all we have in this life.
TONIGHT… we’ll have ourselves a war. Tonight, it’s about survival. Me an’ Rock , we have a lotta respect for the Television Title – but what’s on the line TONIGHT is a little heavier. It’s a shot. It’s a shot at the TO PRIZE in this company. It’ll be a war!
Duke belts out another gravely laugh and smacks his client on the back.
Rock:
With three other men aiming at the same target, it WILL be a war! You fellas need to understand that I am READY to go to war! There are no atrocities that I am unacquainted with. There are no horrors that would unnerve me. War is a nasty business, and that’s the kinda business we’re in!
I am not afraid of Caleb Hart. I am not afraid of Chris Madison or Billy Danielson. I know who these men are and what they are capable of – but I am READY to go to war, and I am not afraid!
Duke:
That’s right, Rock! Let those other shmucks be afraid!
Duke cackles as he leads his man away and the scene fades back to ringside.
Cliff Morris: You don't have to like how they do things to recognize Rock Stone as a threat for the other competitors in tonight's Main Event!
Logan Acker: I have a friend in the back taking odds - and Rock Stone's aren't bad!

Flynn leaps off for a frog splash, but Riggs rolls out of the way, Flynn slams hard off the mat.
Cliff Morris – Michel Flynn took a chance and it backfired!
Logan Acker - That’s why it’s a high risk move!
Flynn staggers toward Riggs, he kicks him in his stomach. Riggs pulls him over, pulls him up, and throws Flynn into the turnbuckles with a powerbomb. Flynn staggers toward Riggs, as he does Riggs turns him around, locking him into a rear waistlock. He pulls Flynn up, dropping him down with a German suplex. Backstage the feed cuts to an in tight shot of Chris Madison, sitting with his head bowed and a black towel wrapped around the backside of his neck. He avoids eye contact with the camera lens, staring down towards the floor.
Chris Madison: “In retrospect, twenty twenty-one was a good year. One half of the UWL United States Tag Team Champions, UWL United States Champion, and bestowed the honor of being dubbed the 2021 Newcomer of the Year. Yet here I am, first show of the new year, and as good as those accolades read on a résumé, I can’t help but dwell on the fact that I’m empty handed…”
The picture zooms out a bit, showing that Madison is in his locker room, sitting on a steel chair. He holds his hands out in front of himself, staring at his palms.
Chris Madison: “Caleb Hart went out and accomplished everythin’ he sought out to. We went to war and he walked out with a win and the UWL United States Championship. Luckily for me, I don’t have to wait too long for a chance at retribution. Because when one door shuts, another door opens…”
Madison reaches up with both hands and firmly grabs the ends of the towel around his neck while pushing himself up to his feet. The film crew once again zooms out a little further.
Chris Madison: “As fate would have it, tonight I find myself in a four way elimination match in tonight’s main event to crown a new number one contender for the UWL World Championship. In that match with me is Billy Danielson, Jack Stone, and none other than UWL United States Champion, Caleb Hart!”
Madison cracks a quick smile.
Chris Madison: “One win doesn’t mean that we’re through Caleb. You better believe that I’m makin’ it my business to be the one to take you out of this contender’s match tonight! Although, as good as that little ounce of retribution would feel, that’s not what tonight is about. It’s more than you and me and settlin’ the score. It’s about a new year, a new opportunity. For me, it’s about buildin’ on the foundation that I laid in my first year in UWL. It’s about continuin’ my legacy in this business. And it’s about earnin’ that championship match against Jackson Burnside by defeatin’ Jack Stone, Billy Danielson, and Caleb Hart is a good start!”

Logan Acker : Battle Breakdown podcast and show
Logan Acker sits with Emily Lyle and Bryson Crews in the podcast studio.
Logan Acker: The match highlighted in Battle Breakdown this week is supremely epic.
He pulls up a tale of the tape that is shown on the screen:
Ace Sky
Moniker(s): Space Shaman , Galaxy Guru
Height: 5’8
Weight: 165 lbs
Hometown: Houston, Texas
Professional Debut: March 29th 1998
Anthony Cross:
Moniker(s): The Enforcer
Height: 6’4
Weight: 275 lbs
Hometown: Brooklyn, New York
Professional Debut: May 3rd 1997
Logan Acker: How about that?
Emily Lyle: They are so different.
Bryson Crews: That’s what makes them perfect opponents, Ace has won his first two matches but this is the real test.
It will be really cool to see if he can handle this.
Logan Acker: Well, you will get to ask him that yourself . . .
Eye In The Sky by Alan Parsons Project plays and Ace Sky walks out, he’s wearing a black One Bad Yogi t-shirt, black cargo pants and black and green Tony Hawk brand shoes
Ace Sky waves at the camera casually as he sits down next to Emily Lyle
Logan Acker: So what is your response to what Bryson said?
Ace Sky: He’s not wrong. This is all about momentum, you have to keep on flowing. I know these matches are not going to get easier, I came here to find the best competition, to face the best of the best and prove that I am unequivocally the best wrestler . When I say best, I don’t mean best in the world I mean best universally, multi-universally, multi-dimensionally, from right through the helix nebula back down to anywhere on this planet.
Anthony, he holds the power and size advantage, he is also a combination wrestler like myself someone who unlike most his size. He’s obviously got some background in Mixed Martial Arts too
Logan Acker: Sorry to cut you off but doesn’t his background intimidate you?
Ace : I started in martial arts at five years old, I am not intimidated by anyone. Don’t take that the wrong way to mean I don’t take them seriously, I do. I’m not expecting to go into this match and destroy him in two minutes. This will be a fight, I know he can toss me around like a rag doll, he can stretch me , I’m a yogi my frame bends in ways his does not.
He may have the size advantage , I hold the advantage in being faster and a hell of a lot smarter.
He’s the bull, I’m the matador , I am the irresistible force, he is the immovable object. He is the cat, I am the mouse,
I’m David, he’s Goliath. It is wit over brute strength.
Emily Lyle smirks at Bryson
Emily Lyle: That’s a great answer. How do you train for a match like this?
Ace Sky: I work on my kicks, his tiny brain is going to knock around his cranium like a pinball.
Bryson: Oh boy, he’s not going to be happy about that one, should you really call him dumb?
Ace responds his Texan accent coming out more as he gets riled
Ace Sky: Instead of focusing on what I say, watch me, I am a man of action,
I’m not a corporate brown-noser like you , you rooting against me doesn’t surprise me at all.
I am one of the key members of the recent generation that has proved you guys wrong.
This is not the 80’s anymore. { points to himself) this is what a pro wrestler looks like nowadays, so get with the times or get left behind.
Bryson and Ace do not seem happy with each other.
Logan awkwardly signs off, ends the show.
Ace is leaving the studio, reaching the end of the hallway, Emily stops him.
Emily: Sorry about that, I really hope we didn’t upset you.
Ace shakes his head, chuckles and smirks
Ace: Nah, it’s all good. Don’t worry about it.
Emily: That was so cool how you were able to shut him down like that.
Ace: Thanks, hey do you want to go get coffee with me?
Emily: Yes, totally.
Ace offers his arm out for her to hold onto as they walk
Emily: Jeez your bicep is freaking massive.
Ace , smirks and gives a nod at the camera.

Emily Lyle - The following is set for one fall with a fifteen minute time limit!
Smoke fills the ramp area. "Eye of the Storm" By Killswitch Engage begins to play. Emerging from the smoke is Sage Jenkins who throws two fingers in the air and lets a smirk move across her face to the fans who groan loudly.
Emily Lyle - From Seminole, Florida, weighing one hundred and fifty five pounds, Sage Jenkins!!!
She makes her way to the ring. She slides into the ring and then moves to the ropes and leans over.
If she is doing her pr requests for herself or the company she wears dresses. She will occasionally wear her gear for these interviews depending on whether she is about to go to the show right after or has a meet and greet right after.
Emily Lyle - From St. Louis, Missouri, weighing one hundred and thirty six pounds, she is one half of the UWL Tag Team Champions, Justice Cross!!
If Justice is at home she picks her outfits out according to what type of mood she is in for the day. Basically what you see in her ring gear is her style and what she wears around the home as well.
Cliff Morris - It's time for our next match up. As, Sage Jenkins takes on Justice Cross one half of the UWL Tag Team Champions. UWL officials have told both Rylee Poverly and Brianna Matthews both they're not to be at ringside so this will be a one on one encounter.
Logan Acker - Sage Jenkins and Rylee Poverly have made it known they want a shot at the UWL Tag Team Championship and Sage Jenkins wants to take that first step and getting the shot they're after!
The bell sounds. They move from their corners slowly moving into a collar and elbow tie up. Cross nails Jenkins with a pair of knees to the stomach which stun her. Logan Acker - Justice Cross is wanting to keep Sage Jenkins at bay and she's doing just that!
Jenkins rises up shakes her head, she moves back across the ring. They go to lock up, Jenkins knees Cross in the stomach. He grabs her throwing her out to the floor, Jenkins follows. She nails her with a pair of hard punches which stun Cross. Jenkins punches away on her with hard punches. Jenkins runs into the guardrail her back slams off the guardrail, she falls forward onto the floor. Cross walks over nailing Jenkins with hard forearm strikes, she falls against the guardrail grimacing in pain.
Cliff Morris - Sage Jenkins is riving in pain as she leans against the guardrail!
Logan Acker - Justice Cross is showing something here tonight!
Cross comes at her throwing her leg up nailing her with hard kicks to the side of her arm and to her ribs. Jenkins stumbles back, Cross steps back. She takes a step, Jenkins runs jumping over the guardrail nailing her with a flying clothesline.
They’re both on the floor. Jenkins rolls back into the ring, the referee goes to start her count, Cross rises up off the floor returning to the ring apron.
