The picture cuts down to the announcers at ringside.
Cliff Morris - Welcome wrestling fans to Eruption! We're here in Atlanta our home away from home. We have a loaded night of action. Let's not waste another second and head up to the ring to kick off tonight's action! Before we head to the ring let's hear these comments!
It is an unusually warm, even for Summer, day in McKeesport, Pennsylvania. The camera pans across what looks like an old, abandoned school building, sitting at the end of Walnut Street at 2125. Daron Smythe pulls up in a Dodge Challenger, slams the door and heads into the building...
Daron Smythe: To get ready for my match this week on Eruption, I had to go back. I had to go back to where it all started. For many people, this place is a sh*thole, but to me, it was my home. I learned how to wrestle here - I learned a lot about myself here. To keep moving forward, I have to figure out my past. The good, the bad, and the ugly. I have to make peace with it in order to move on. I've been out of the business so long, I think I let myself be intimidated by the bright lights. It's time to get back to basics...
Daron grabs on the handle of the front door and turns it open, still unlocked, just like the old days. The neighborhood had a lot of problems, but they never messed with this place. It looks and smells pretty much the same, but despite all of that, there's still the same old ring in the same old condition. Inside that 16 X 16 foot frame unlocks the past, present, and future of Daron Smythe...
Daron Smythe: Ace Sky, I can't say much about you, but whatever you've been doing to get ready, I'm doing twice as much. Hell, I live here now. Professional wrestling is my life. I look forward to seeing you in the ring tonight. You're the first step of many, on my road back to the top...
Daron starts hitting the ropes endlessly, 28, 29, 30, 31 times, not giving up, pushing through the pain in order to get ready for his match on Eruption...
The show opens scanning across the arena and cuts to the ring.
