UWL Eruption - 2/3/24
Rylee Poverly - We've faced one trio after another. But what does it mean to defend a title against trios that no one seems to care about? Every city we go to, all I hear is people asking. Why doesn't UWL bring back the United States Tag Team Title, or why didn't they bring back the United States Tag Team Championship instead of the Six Man Tag Team Championship?
Cliff Morris - That does seem to get asked a lot.
Logan Acker - Yes, it does. It seems to be something that is on the minds of the fans.
Rylee Poverly - So, what am I talking about? What I am saying is that maybe we'll just do that. Maybe we'll just bring back the United States Tag Team Championship. How about that?
Poverly shakes her head.
Rylee Poverly - Maybe then Dangerous Desires would get the respect we've earned. I think I have left you people with a lot to think about.
Poverly drops the microphone with a smile across her face as she looks out at the crowd.
Cliff Morris - I do agree with Rylee Poverly. She has left us with a lot to think about and a lot of confusion, if you ask me.
Voice Over - Welcome to the Universal Wrestling League. Now let's go to your broadcast team, Cliff Morris and Logan Acker.
The show opens scanning across the arena.
The picture cuts down to the announcers at ringside.
Cliff Morris - Hello! Wrestling fans welcome to another exciting night of action with Saturday Night Eruption!

Jenkins bounces back up off the floor. She kicks in his stomach, doubling him over. Jenkins plants West head first into the floor with a snap DDT. Jenkins slides back in the ring, the referee is telling her to stay in the ring and back up. She runs off the ropes running across the ring, she dives out to the floor taking West down with a suicide dive.
Cliff Morris - Sage Jenkins takes Dave West down with a dive to the floor!
Logan Acker - Sage Jenkins takes flight!
Jenkins stands on the ring apron, she looks out at the crowd with her hands in the air, to which the fans don’t take kindly. Jenkins slides back in the ring. West gets up to his feet on the floor, he moves on the ring apron. Harper Levine grabs him around his ankle, the referee doesn’t see it. West manages to get free. He steps back in the ring, and is met with a kick to his side.
Cliff Morris - These two are throwing everything at one another!
Jenkins stands on his throat, the referee calls for a break. Jenkins steps back, Harper Levine leans through the ropes hitting West.

Backstage we see Cory Chevelle walking very quickly and aggressively down the hallway with a concerned Haley Chevelle following at his heels.
Haley Chevelle: Dad, stop! Not tonight! He isnt worth it!
Cory stops in front of the locker room door and turns to Haley. He's clearly mad as hell and looking for a fight with someone specific.
Cory Chevelle: I WILL DO... as I damn well please, Haley. Don't talk me out of this, that asshole is gonna catch a beating tonight! He wants to say I'm some chump bully who can't dish it out, well I'm gonna serve him a big ol dish of...of...NEVERMIND GOD DAMMIT! JACKSON! I HOPE YOURE IN HERE YOU SONUVA...
Chevelle comes barging into the locker room where most of the guys are at backstage, either getting ready for their matches or just hanging out. They all look like a deer caught in the headlights at the sign of Chevelle who's cold blue eyes search relentlessly for Jackson Burnside. Chevy looks at Ace Sky, approaching him and grabbing him by the shirt.
Cory Chevelle: YOU SEEN JACKSON BURNSIDE!? WHERE IS HE!?
Ace shakes his head no, and Chevy shoves him back before turning to Joseph Lincoln who backs away until Braddock steps in.
BRADDOCK: Hey, hey, calm down brother. Nobody's seen him, he isn't here Chev.
This appears to anger Chevelle even more. He grabs a char and throws it across the locker room, shattering a mirror then turns to Braddock.
Cory Chevelle: THEN I'LL JUST WAIT RIGHT HERE BECAUSE TONIGHT IM WHUPPIN' SOMEBODY'S ASS! Understand me everyone!? Maybe I'll whip your ass!
He points to Nick Danger
Cory Chevelle: OR YOUR ASS!
He points to Dave West
Cory Chevelle: Or maybe, just maybe I'll whip whoever walks through that door next! I think I will Braddock, and you all better damn well pray it's Jackson Burnside because tonight Robb Daniels ain't the only person I'm handing a beating to! So there it is! Whoever walks through that door first be it JB OR NOT! C'MON!
.....
.....
....
Cory Chevelle: C'MON! PLEASE GOD LET IT BE! SEND SOMEONE THROUGH THAT GOD DAMN DOOR!
....
....
Finally the door opens, Billy Danielson comes walking in with his duffle bag of gear and stops as he sees an irate Chevelle pacing in front of him. Chevelle's shoulders drop as he shakes his head and rolls his eyes.
Cory Chevelle: Dammit Billy! What the hell are you doin!?
Billy Danielson: I-
Cory Chevelle: You know what, I'll just go keep looking for Jackson Burnside! Get outta the damn way!
Chevy shoves past Billy who still looks confused as to what just happened. Chevelle swings the door open and leaves the locker room, slamming it on his way out.

Cory Chevelle comes out on stage without his music being played. He wasted no time marching down the ramp to the ring...
Logan Acker: Here comes our world champion, who still looks madder than a hornet!
Chevelle rolls into the ring and jumps up, slinging the world championship over his right shoulder. The Knoxville crowd is booing louder than ever as Chevelle paces in the ring before receiving a mic.
Cliff Morris: I don't think he knows that Jackson isn't scheduled to be here tonight... He's not even in the building!
Chevelle raises the mic to his mouth
Cory Chevelle: SHUT THE HELL UP! EVERY ONE OF YOU!
The crowd only gets louder while Chevelle continues stomping around in the ring.
Cory Chevelle: I WANT JACKSON BURNSIDE TO BRING HIS ASS OUT HERE AND FACE ME! RIGHT NOW! C'MON JACKSON!
The crowd cheers wildly at the mention of the Weatherman's name. Chevelle becomes even more angry...
Cory Chevelle: Oh yeah, I know already. He's your hero, your savior! ONLY HE ISN'T! JACKSON BURNSIDE! You had a lot to say during your interview huh!? You've had quite a bit to say the past couple of shows and you know something, I was gonna be the bigger man and let you run your mouth but now instead I think I'll oblige you and remind you who the champ is, and what happens when you and I have us a fight!
Logan Acker: Chevelle is just mad!
Cory Chevelle: It never ends well for you, and this right here, this is proof!
Chevy taps the world championship
Cory Chevelle: Yeah, you beat me for the Television championship... But how many times have I kicked your ass both in and out of this ring? Let's see we got the elimination match, we got the tag match, we got into another scrap as I recall which ended with you getting speared outta your boots... Ya know, it doesn't matter. What matters is when you and I come face to face, you say you're gonna walk into Silverback Country and beat my face into the mud..HA! We'll see! I would love to see that! I know how badly you wanna dust your career off and become relevant again but the only way you'll ever be relevant is when your name is on the same marquee as mine! AND THATS A FACT, JACK!
The crowd boo's
Cory Chevelle: You sit there and claim you're still the best...
Chevy shakes his head, the camera zooms in on his cold blue eyes and the menacing glare.
Cory Chevelle: Well if you're the best then why am I holding this championship and not you? You're past your prime, brother. The ship has sailed, DUDE! And while everyone loves a good comeback story, my friend, I'm afraid yours is gonna end similar to that of Randy "The Ram" Robinson at the end, only instead of a heart attack it's gonna be ME, DROPPING YOU ON YOUR DAMN HEAD! Now isn't that RADICAL DUDE-BROTHER, BROTHER-DUDE! Christ you make me sick! WHERE ARE YOU HUH!? Show us how bad you are Weatherman!
The crowd is on their feet, dying for Jackson Burnside to come out and shut the champion up. The camera pans to the entrance ramp, but sadly no Jackson Burnside.
Cory Chevelle: Alright JB. If you won't come out and face me then I guess I'll just wait until you do decide to show up. In the mean time, let's talk about my next victim... THE LEGEND HIMSELF, ROBB DANIELS!
The crowd briefly pops
Cory Chevelle: Talk about someone else trying to dust his career off... Rob, Robert, Mr. "Mainstream icon".. WHATEVER you wanna call yourself. You and I both know this has been a long time coming. Because you and I have never been in the ring together. Now, if it were up to me this would be a main event title match because God damn would I love nothing more than to see every single person in the crowd, their hopes and dreams all die the moment I drop you on your head and pin you. One. Two. Three. But, I guess this'll have to do instead. I wish I could say what an honor it is but honestly Rob, I don't give a crap. You came back yet again and this is like, what, how many times have you returned now? One more golden run huh Rob? That's cute.
Chevy smiles and shakes his head.
Cory Chevelle: Unfortunately for you, this is my time, and you are heading into my ring. You've done a lot of great things here Rob and I don't wanna dump on that but, well, okay I'm going to anyways because LEGENDARY, you are not. Not in my eyes Rob. You're another relic trying to hold on to the glory days and you're gonna have to face the cruel reality when you come out here and step into Silverback Country. You wanna know what that reality is Rob? That reality is this place, this company- it's moved on from you! But clearly, as we can all see from your lil tiffs with Billy, clearly you have trouble moving on. So here's what I'm gonna do for you Rob.
Chevelle pauses, lowering the mic while scratching his beard as he stands there pondering on his own words for a moment. Slowly he raises the mic back up to his mouth, leaning forward into the ropes and eyes set straight into the camera.
Cory Chevelle: Just like Jackson Burnside, I'm going to help you let go. Because the UWL is no country for old men anymore.. It's Silverback Country!
Chevelle motions back off the ropes and let's the mic fall from his hand. He raises the UWL World Heavyweight Championship, motioning around the ring as the fans all boo. Cutting through the ropes, Chevelle makes his way up the ramp and disappears behind the entrance curtain.
Cliff Morris: Wow. Ladies and gentlemen we're going to take a break and be right back with more action tonight!
Logan Acker: That's right, don't go anywhere! This is Saturday night Eruption!

??: "Yo Cory!"
An omnipresent voice cuts through the music. Cory Chevelle looks around.
??: "Up here, brother!"
Cory turns to the big screen by the entryway. The crowd pops at the sight of Jackson Burnside looking over them like big brother. Cory points up and yells for Jackson to come down to the ring. The Weatherman is close to the camera, probably recording on some cheap webcam or a camera phone.
Jackson Burnside: "Cory I can't come down there dude. Unfortunately for the good people... in Knoxville, Tennessee!-" Burnside scores the cheap pop from his remote session. Chevelle leans forward on the rope and rolls his eyes. "-I had some personal business come up! But I'm watching the show brother, and I know you're lookin' for me! I know there's been talk, I see what the dirtsheets are reporting; I haven't worked a match since Universal Stampede, I'm not there tonight. 'Oh brother, he's hurt! The Weather is working injured!' That ain't it jack! 'Oh Burnside is negotiating a fat new contract," EH-EH!"
Cory takes it upon himself to go get his title belt and a microphone while Burnside goes off. He waves off his challenger, as if Jackson can see him through the screen.
Cory Chevelle: "If you aren't here Jackie then I don't wanna here ya. You've been talkin' a whole lot and I'm tired of it. Unless you're here and looking for a fight, shut off your damn phone and get off my show!"
Burnside laughs.
Jackson Burnside: "Your show? Last I looked you don't sign my checks, brother. But you know, there's a weather anomaly because Hell's frozen over. I agree with ya! Access Denied is too far away, and I've been out of action for a little too long. So Cory, UWL brothers in attendance and at home, mark your calendars. The Weatherman will be on Eruption in two weeks in Norfolk! Between you 'n me Cory, I see what you've been doin' trashing anyone who gets in the ring with ya in record time. You're hugry, I'm hungry, and if it's a fight you're lookin' for than I can bring it. So come ready to talk, ready to fight man, one way or another we'll come face to face in Norfalk! 'Cause I'm not Sonya Benson! I'm not Joseph Lincoln! I'm the Weatherman brother, your next UWL World Heavyweight Champion!
Cory Chevelle: "Is that it? Jackie, you better not show up in Norfolk 'cause I'm gonna rip you apart!"
The crowd begins to buzz as Chevelle yells up at the big screen.
Cory Chevelle: "It doesn't matter to me you got a wife and a family, I'll send you back to Chicago in a bodybag!"
Jackson Burnside slides into the ring behind Cory. The crowd begins to chant, "BURRNSIDE! BURNSIDE! BURNSIDE!" Cory sucks his teeth before he throwing the title belt down to the canvas. Burnside has a big grin on his face, even though the surprise is ruined. Chevelle whirls around and Burnside catches him with a right hand. Chevelle stumbles back and Burnside follwos with two more big right hands that push him to the ropes. Burnside leans back, winds up, and sends Chevelle over the top rope with a clothesline. He turns his back to the outside and then raises his arms high into the air. Chevelle has landed on his feet on the outside. Chevy gives the apron a frustrated slap and slides under the bottom rope just as security, refs, and staff are making it down to the ring.
Burnside turns around and is tackled by the Champ. Ground and pound, but Burnside manages to roll over an swap positions with Chevy. A few shots from the challenger and the two big men jocky for control of the other. They roll over near the ropes, where Burnside is eventually peeled away from the Champ. Chevelle tries to get out but officials are up on the apron telling him to back off. Insults and expletives fly, not quite entirely drowned out by the roar of the crowd. Burnside isn't being backed up the aisle, but he isn't tryiing to get to Chevelle either. The Champ begs off and flips over the top rope to exist the far side of the ring. Staff encircle him. After feigning that he's done for a few seconds the Champ sprints by all the offiicals. He circles around the ring and hits Burnside and the officials around him like a bowling ball.
Cliff Morris: - "This has broken down!"
Logan Acker:: - "Burnside wanted to start a fight! You bet the Hellbilly is gonna see it finished!"
Cory and Jackson exchanging blows again with Cory on top. Now even arena security is down to the ring and it takes five men to pull the Champ off of Burnside. The challengr is pinned against the barricade while Chevelle gets brought over to a corner of the ring. The men on Burnside go flying as he powers them off. Burnside belines for Chevelle, driving him into the post backfirst. Chevelles screams, but manages to keep an arm wrapped around Burnside. He follows with some clubbing blows.
Logan Acker:: - "We're gonna have to get Knoxville PD here soon!"
Security finally manage to rip Burnside from around Chevelle's waist. However the force sends everyone spiraling, and Burnside emerges uninhibited. He reengages the Champ and they exchange clubbing blows and forearms on the outside.
Cliff Morris: - "Folks, we're out of time! Tune in on March 16th to see the fallout from this brawl! Good night!"
Both men are pulled apart and restrained again. Each one is stll trying to break free and get to the other, jawing and and yelling at one another over all the commotion, which sends Eruption off the air.

[The scene unfolds inside the arena as the crowd is still buzzing from the intense match between Braddock and Ace Starr. Braddock, the hulking, menacing figure, stands tall in the ring, victorious over his opponent. Ace Starr lies motionless on the canvas, clearly defeated. Commentators Cliff Morris and Logan Acker are horrified by what they're witnessing.]
Cliff Morris: Ladies and gentlemen, this is just despicable! Braddock has already won the match, but he's not done yet!
Logan Acker: Absolutely, Cliff. This is crossing the line. Someone needs to put a stop to this!
[Braddock, fueled by his primal instincts, picks up Ace Starr, who can barely stand, and delivers several devastating meathook clotheslines, long after the bell has rung.]
Cliff Morris: Oh my God, enough is enough! Ace Starr is defenseless!
Logan Acker: This is sickening to watch. Where are the officials?!
[The commentators plead for more officials to intervene, but Braddock continues his assault, clearing the ring of any authority figures. Just as it seems like Braddock is about to deliver one final blow, a sudden eruption of cheers fills the arena as #1 Daron Smythe charges down the ramp, wielding a steel chair.]
Cliff Morris: Here comes Daron Smythe! Thank goodness!
Logan Acker: Smythe isn't going to stand idly by and watch this brutality. He's taking matters into his own hands!
[Smythe slides into the ring, steel chair in hand, and without hesitation, he swings with all his might at Braddock's head. The impact causes Braddock to stagger, but instead of crumbling, he laughs, blood trickling down his face. Smythe doesn't back down, though, as he follows up with a lightning-fast Yazuka Kick, sending Braddock crashing through the ropes and to the floor.]
Cliff Morris: What a strike by Smythe! He's taken the fight to Braddock!
Logan Acker: Braddock may be unstoppable, but Smythe is showing he's not afraid to stand up to him!
[An enraged Smythe seizes the moment, grabbing a microphone from ringside as the crowd roars in approval.]
Daron Smythe: Four weeks ago, BRADDOCK, you and I went one on one and you decided to lift me up and slam me on the cold, unforgiving concrete. I felt a pain I haven't felt in my entire lifetime. I blacked out, I don't even remember getting up and throwing fists your way. I don't remember cleaning up in the locker room and I certainly don't remember how or why I woke up in a hospital the next morning.
I was diagnosed with a concussion and damange to my C6 and C7 vertebrae. In fact, when my doctor first looked at my chart he asked me if I had just been in a car crash. He told me I needed to take some time off - that's why you didn't see me two weeks ago and why I wasn't scheduled tonight. In all reality, my doctor said I should take off six months to a year...
[Crowd yells in disappointment with this announcement]
...but you know me, I just couldn't sit still at home, thinking about what BRADDOCK did to me, seeing what BRADDOCK is doing to other people, it triggered something inside of me that I couldn't take anymore. There are so many people in wrestling right now talking about finishing their stories - and I'm still on that path - but I need to add another chapter to my story. That chapter? Oh...it's how I KICKED BRADDOCK'S ASS IN A HARDCORE MATCH AT ACCESS DENIED!!!
[Daron slams the microphone down in the middle of the ring and climbs to the second rope, throwing his hands in the air, soaking in the cheers from the approving audience, while BRADDOCK slinks up the ramp, nursing his wounds while simultaneously throwing a middle finger Smythe's way]
Cliff Morris: It sounds like we have a match for Access Denied! But is Smythe really physically ready to handle a hardcore match with the monster BRADDOCK?!
Logan Acker: Time will tell, Cliff. Tonight he looks like a million bucks, but in six weeks time, he might be earning a million dollar hospital bill!
[The crowd erupts into chants of "DARON! DARON! DARON!" as the camera fades to black, leaving the wrestling world buzzing with anticipation for the inevitable clash between these two titans.]

The picture cuts across the arena and cuts to the ring.
AS I WALK THROUGH THE VALLEY OF THE SHADOW OF DEATH
"Gangster's Paradise" by Coolio begins to play throughout the arena. The lights abruptly turn off all at once as the music continues to play. Seemingly hundreds of camera flashes begin lighting up the darkened arena then suddenly the curtain is thrown back and Robert Daniels and his wife Lauren emerge from behind the curtain...Daniels wears a very serious look upon his face, walking down the center of the runway with his wife in tow. He stops on the apron, holding the ropes open for his wife then wiping his boots before stepping through himself.
Emily Lyle - From Seattle, Washington, weighing two hundred and thirty five pounds, Robert Daniels!!
He circles the ring, removing his robe and sunglasses and handing them off to a stage hand. He climbs up on the turnbuckles and looks around at the crowd, enjoying the negative reaction as he talks trash right back to them. He tells the camera that he's the man before dropping down and fixing his wrist tape as the music ends. Emily Lyle - The following contest is set for one fall with a fifteen minute time limit!
The lights around the arena go dark. The drum beats begin slowly pounding until the few chords of Promentory begin playing. Smoke begins filling the stage area as the music builds to a slow climax. After a minute as the chords begin crunching and raising in intensity, Chevelle appears walking out on stage with the UWL World Heavyweight Championship around his waist.
Emily Lyle - Ladies and gentlemen, From Bootjack, Missouri! Weighing in at 290 pounds! He is the WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION! CORRRY! CHEVELLLLLLE!
Chevelle makes his way through the smoke. His cold blue eyes focused on the ring. He springs up to the side apron and then hops over the ropes. The crowd is on its feet either booing or cheering the champion as he climbs the turnbuckle and removes the world title then raises it high for all to see. Chevelle hops down, handing the belt to the ref and turns his attention to his opponent.
Daniels runs at Chevelle but gets nailed with a hard clothesline, which staggers Daniels. Chevelle throws a hard right hand, which stumbles Daniels. Chevelle leans over, lifting Daniels up and throwing him down onto the mat with a bodyslam. Daniels lays on the mat as Chevelle runs at him, kicking him with a hard kick to the back of his head. Chevelle pulls Daniels up to his feet; he sends him into the ropes; Daniels bounces off the ropes; Chevelle goes for a clothesline; but Daniels ducks under the clothesline attempt. Daniels catches Chevelle in the back of his leg with a hard kick, followed by another kick, which sends Chevelle down to one knee. Daniels bounces off the ropes, running back at Chevelle and nailing him with a leg lariat. Daniels bounces up to his feet, and he turns staring at Chevelle as he stands on the ring apron, looking back into the ring.
Cliff Morris - Robert Daniels standing looking at Cory Chevelle as he moves around the ring.
Daniels runs into the ring, and Daniels makes the tag. Daniels starts throwing hard punches, landing in the face of Chevelle. Daniels grabs him around his arm to send him into the ropes, but Chevelle blocks it, pulling Daniels around, lifting him up, and sending him down with a sidewalk slam. Chevelle rises to his feet, moving slowly around the ring.
Chevelle steps through the ropes; he runs at Daniels, nailing him with a wild European uppercut, which staggers Daniels. Chevelle pulls Daniels toward him, grabbing him into a front facelock. He lifts him up, throwing Daniels back onto the mat with a snap suplex. Chevelle grabs Daniels, sending him into the ropes. Daniels bounces off the ropes, running back at Chevelle as he goes for a back elbow, but Daniels ducks under the back elbow attempt. Daniels grabs Chevelle before he can turn around into a side headlock. Daniels sends Chevelle staggering with a back elbow that sends him staggering across the ring. Chevelle staggers his feet back into the ropes, and Daniels charges at him, taking him over the top rope with a clothesline.
Cliff Morris - Cory Chevelle goes up and over the top rope!
Logan Acker - Robert Daniels needs to stay on the attack!
Chevelle staggers to his feet, and as he does, Daniels runs at him, taking him down onto the floor. Daniels throws wild punches at Chevelle as he lays over him on the floor. Chevelle pulls Daniels off of Chevelle, and as he does, Daniels dives through the ropes, taking Chevelle out. Daniels comes at Chevelle, nailing him over and over with repeated punches. He grabs him into a side headlock. They both go back to the ropes. Chevelle sends him off. Daniels comes off the ropes. Chevelle grabs him throwing him with a overhead belly to belly suplex. Chevelle turns grabbing Daniels and lifts him up and plants him down with the Silverback Brainbuster. He covers him, the referee counts.
